Abstract

This reserach is aimed at identifying (1) the development process of interactive module learning media with Adobe Flash software in Economics Mathematics in Batanghari University Jambi, (2) The advisability of interactive module learning media Adobe Flash software in Economics Mathematics in Batanghari University based on material and media experts assessment, and (3) The advisability of interactive module learning media with Adobe Flash software in Economics Mathematics course in Batanghari University based on students assessment. This research uses Research and Development method. The subject of the research is one expert in Economics Mathematics course, one expert in media, and the students of Economics Education Study Program Faculty of Teachers Training and Education Batanghari University Jambi which cosist of 20 (twenty) people. Moreover, the object of this researh is the advisability of interactive module learning media which consists of 4 aspects, they are; content material, learning material, performance and presentation, and programming. The result of the research shows that (1) The development process of interactive module learning media with Adobe Flash software in Economics Mathematics in Batanghari University Jambi refers to the development model ADDIE which consists of 5 (five) steps, they are; Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation, (2) The advisability of interactive module learning media with Adobe Flash software in Economics Mathematics Batanghari University Jambi based on Economics Mathematics course based on expert assessment falls into mean category 4,94. It prooves that this learning material can be efficiently used in Economics Mathematics learning process. Furthemore, based on media expert, the process falls into mean category 4,85. It means that this learning media can be efficiently used in Economics Mathematics learning process, and (3) The advisability of interactive module learning media with Adobe Flash software based on learning assessment in Economics Mathematics learning falls into mean category 4,25. It proves that this learning media can be efficiently used in Economics Mathematics learning process.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the student's Metacognition type melancholis in solving math problems. The research results expected useful to optimize the learning activity based on activity of Metacognition in students learning math in the melancholis type, consideration for teachers or schools in drawing up a learning model that fits the research is descriptive qualitative research. Data collection is done by way of an interview based on the troubleshooting task sheet. The subject in this study are students who have a personality melancholis on odd semester academic year 2015/2016.The process of critical thinking can be traced in any troubleshooting steps according to Polya and noted the characteristics of the process of critical thinking which includes stage (1) identification of issues and relevant information, (2) explore the interpretation and connections, (3) alternative to prioritize and communicate conclusions, and (4) integrate, monitor, and filter strategy for handling the reset issue.The results showed that students had indeed melancholis metacognition. Melancholis students can solve given by critical. And the process of critical thinking on solving the problems seen in: phase (1) and (2) the process of Metacognition occurs in step understanding the problem, devise a plan, implement troubleshooting troubleshooting plan and rechecking the results of problem solving. Stage (3) the process of Metacognition occurs in step understanding the problem, devise a plan and carry out troubleshooting troubleshooting plan. (4) the stages of the process of Metacognition occurs in step implement the plan troubleshooting and rechecking the results of problem solving. Based on the results of such studies then the teacher should know the personality and mindset of his protégé participant so that teaching and learning process occurs optimally.Keyword : Metakognisi, Melancholis, and Problem Solving

Abstract

This study aims to determine the level of ability to comprehend the concept of mathematical high students have the ability to understand good concept and able to solve every problem correctly that meet the indicators of concept understanding this is (a) Ability to re-state a concept; (b) the ability to develop necessary terms or sufficient conditions from a concept; (c) Ability to use, utilize and select certain procedures; and (d) Ability to apply concepts to problem solving. Meanwhile, the level of ability to understand the concept of low students don’t have the ability to understand good mathematical concepts and students have not been able to use the concepts that have been studied to solve the problem. The ability to comprehend low mathematical concepts of students is only able to meet 2 of the 4 indicators understanding the concept provided but not the maximum. Indicators that are fulfilled are (a) re-state a concept only partially; and (2) Ability to use, utilize and select certain procedures.

Abstract

Abstract: This research was aimed to find out (1) Description of X class learning environment at SMA Negeri 8 Jambi City, and (2) Factors of learning environment which affect students learning outcomes of X Class at SMA Negeri 8 Jambi City. The type of this research was quantitative descriptive research. The population in this research was 602 students. Technique used to take sample in this research was random sampling, selected 100 students as sample of the research. Technique to collect data in this research was spreading the questionnaire to the research respondents and interviews. Technique to analyze data in this research was factor analysis by using program of SPSS Version 16. The result of research indicated that (1) learning environment variables were in enough category with average 3,91 and Response Achievement Level (TCR) equal to 78,26, and 2) There were 10 (ten) dominant factors which affected students learning environment, namely (a) Factor 1 which was given teaching method, which consisted of statement items F6.1, F6.2, F6.3, F7.2, and F7. 4, (b) Factor 2 which was given the identity of the relation between the family members, which consisted of the statement items F2.2, F2.3, and F14.3, (c) Factor 3 which was given the identity of the community life form, F9.3, F10.1, F14.1 and F14.2, (d) Factor 4 identified the learning instrument, which consisted of the statement items F9.2, F10.2, F10.3, and F12.2, (e) Factor 5 which was given the identity of the parent's understanding, which consisted of the statement items F3.1, F5.1, F5.2, and F8.4, (f) Factor 6 which was given the identity of the home atmosphere, which consisted of statement items F1.3 and F3.2 (g) Factor 7 which identified teacher relation with student, consisted of statement items F7.1, F7.3, and F12.1, (h) Factor 8 identified the school discipline, consisted of statement items F9.1, and F9.3, (i) Factor 9 identified the friends’ interactions consisted of statement items F8.2 and F13.2, and (j) Factors 10 which was given the identity of the parents’ economic status, which consisted of statement items F3.3 and F4.1.Keyword: Factor Analysis, Learning Environment, Learning Outcomes

Abstract

This study aimed to describe the mathematical problem solving ability of students in a linear program material. The results of the research would be useful to optimize the mathematical ability of students to obtain good learning outcomes. In addition, this study may provide information to teachers how students' mathematical problem solving ability so it can construct a way of learning that can improve the ability of solving mathematical problems. This research is descriptive qualitative study aimed to describe the students' mathematical problem solving ability. Collecting data in this study conducted by way of mathematical problem solving ability test were then interviewed research subjects in accordance with the answers to the test. The Subjects of study is a class XI student of Mathematics 6 SMA Negeri 1 Kota Jambi first semester of academic year 2016/2017.Solving in mathematics is the process of finding the answer to a question contained in a narrative, text, tasks and situations in everyday life. Polya said solving the problem is just one aspect of higher level thinking as the process of accepting the problem and try to resolve the issue. In addition, problem-solving is an intellectual activity to seek to address the problems encountered with the use of the stock of knowledge already possessed. In such a condition is said to be a target problem-solving learning, students should be able to solve mathematical problems related to the real world. Based on the results of research on the analysis of mathematical problem solving ability can be concluded that the subject has the ability in solving problem solving. The initial step in the completion of subject matter that is to understand the problems presented by the question, the students write down what is known, asked and lack of any data to solve the problem . Indicators are still many students who have not been precise and systematic, mostly due to inaccuracies in the writing subject is not systematic problem solving. However, the subject has used the ability to think fast, clear and precise calculations in problem solving has been good.

Abstract

Abstract: This thesis was a research and development (R&D). This research aimed to produce products in the form of Mathematics Student Worksheet based on the guided discovery on the space curved side building seen from the criteria, practicality, effectiveness and validity. This research referred to the model of ADDIE development which includes five stages: analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation. The subject of this research was the students of class IX SMP N 31 Kab. Tebo. The instruments used in this research were (a) validation sheet for the material expert, media expert and design expert to determine the validity of Student Worksheet, (b) questionnaire of student response to determine the practicality of the Student Worksheet and (c) pre-test and post-test function to determine the effectiveness of Student Worksheet.The results of the research showed that the Student-Based Student Worksheet were guided in the space curved side building of the Class XI students belonging to the good category seen from the validation of the expert who got the average score of 4.2, belonging to the practical category seen from the questionnaire of the response of the students who obtained the average score of 4.4 and classified as effectively seen from the results of the calculation of the difference between pre-test and post-test with the value of t arithmetic was 15.4 and the value of t table was 2.03. In this case, t arithmetic> t table then Ho received.Keywords: Development, Student Worksheet, Guided Discovery.

Abstract

Abstract: This research is an experimental research. Population in this research is all students of class VIII SMPN 2 Kuala Tungkal Academic Year 2017/2018. Sampling using simple random sampling while the research samples are taken class VIII A and VIII B. where two classes of samples are given different treatment. From the results of research conducted the average value for the experimental class is 80,75 with standard deviation 5,12 and the average control class is 68,12 with standard deviation4,92 and from the results of hypothesis test obtained tcount of 10,1 and ttable of 1,67 at the real level of 0,05. From the calculation it is seen that tcount greather than ttable then H1 accepted. Based on the final result, it can be concluded that the problem solving ability of mathematics students using SAVI (Somatic, Auditory, Visuallization, Intellectually) learning model is better than the Direct learning model in students of grade VIII SMPN 2 Kuala Tungkal.Keyword: Mathematical Problem Solving Ability, SAVI (Somatic, Auditory, Visualization, Intellectualy) learning model, Direct Learning Model.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to identify students' metacognition knowledge based on VAK learning styles (visual, auditorial, and kinesthetic) in mathematical problem solving. The type of research used is qualitative research using descriptive qualitative research method. Research subjects are all students of class XI MIA SMA Negeri 2 Kota Jambi with the number of students 192 people. Of the total students of class XI MIA will be selected 3 people as informants. Methods of data collection in this study is a questionnaire learning style, mathematical problem solving, and interview guidelines. The required data is obtained through mathematical problem solving test and interview guidance validated by the validator. Questionnaire learning style used to find the subject to be identified has been validated by a team of experts who are in UPBK UNJA. Data analysis techniques used Milles and Huberman analysis which included (1) data reduction, (2) data presentation, and (3) verification and conclusion. The results showed that students with visual, auditorial and kinesthetic learning styles have met all metacognition knowledge indicators, namely declarative knowledge, proedural knowledge, and conditional knowledge in each polya cale stages, that is understanding the problem, preparing the plan, executing the plan and checking again. This can be seen from the student's answer sheet and reinforced by the interview result done after working on problem solving.Keywords: Knowledge Metacognition, Learning Styles, Mathematical Problem Solving

Abstract

Hasil tes kemampuan awal dan wawancara dengan guru menunjukan bahwa kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa masih rendah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe group investigation terhadap dan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri Kota Jambi. Jenis penelitian ini adalah quasy experimental dengan rancangan Randomized Control Group Posttest Only Design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 2 Kota Jambi, SMP Negeri 14 Kota Jambi dan SMP Negeri 25 Kota Jambi. Sampel penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII B SMP Negeri 2 Kota Jambi sebagai kelas eksperimen dan siswa kelas VII D SMP Negeri 25 Kota Jambi sebagai kelas kontrol. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah tes tertulis mengenai kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis. Data dianalisis menggunakan uji t dan uji ANAVA dua arah. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dan pembahasan, diperoleh beberapa kesimpulan. Pertama, kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa yang diajar melalui model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe group investigation lebih baik daripada siswa yang diajar melalui pembelajaran secara konvensional. Kedua, kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa berkemampuan awal tinggi yang diajar melalui model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe group investigation tidak berbeda dengan siswa berkemampuan awal tinggi yang diajar melalui pembelajaran konvensional. Ketiga, kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa berkemampuan awal rendah yang diajar melalui model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe group investigation lebih baik daripada siswa berkemampuan awal rendah yang diajar melalui pembelajaran konvensional. Keempat, tidak terdapat interaksi antara model pembelajaran dengan kemampuan awal terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa. Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh self efficacy siswa terhadap kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa kelas XI MIPA SMA Negeri 9 Kota Jambi. Selama proses pembelajaran berlangsung di sekolah faktor yang mempengaruhi kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa salah satunya, yaitu keyakinan siswa dalam mengkomunikasikan ide-ide matematis, atau disebut juga self efficacy. Self efficacy merupakan kayakinan diri yang dimiliki oleh setiap individu terhadap kemampuan yang dimilikinya dalam menghadapi dan menyelesaikan masalah yang dihadapinya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui adanya pengaruh self efficacy terhadap kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa.Jenis penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif menggunakan uji regresi linear sederhana yang bertujuan untuk mengukur pengaruh yang signifikan antara self efficacy siswa terhadap kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas XI MIPA SMA Negeri 9 Kota Jambi Tahun Ajaran 2022/2023 dengan jumlah keseluruhan 108 siswa yang terbagi menjadi 3 kelas. Sampel dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 51 siswa yang terbagi menjadi 3 kelas yang diambil secara random sampling (acak). Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan pemberian angket dan tes uraian. Analisis data dilakukan dengan menggunakan bantuan program SPSS 21 terdiri dari analisis deskriptif, uji persyaratan analisis data, dan pengujian hipotesis. Uji persyaratan analisis data yang digunakan, yaitu uji normalitas, uji homogenitas, dan uji linearitas.
