Abstract

The limitations of women in accessing economic resources have an impact on the performance and role of women in nation building. The 'gender-minded development' program is a strategic alternative to make it easier for women to access everything related to women's empowerment and quality of life. The method used is qualitative approach method with observation and interview. The results showed that gender-minded development in ambon city has not been maximally implemented and realized because there are still strategic positions dominated by men so that women's access to economic potentials and policy making is still very limited.

Abstract

The research and study cover a theoretical discussion and empirical study on Volatility Of Rupiah Exchange Rate to Us Dollar And Factors that it Influence based on Quartely data from Q12001 to Q42015 . The research employs the Cointegration and Engle Granger-Error Correction Model (ECM) approach by applying the Ordinary Least Square (OLS) method. The ECM is performed to anticipate the possibility of errors and disparity between the theoretical model and the statistical model as well as to identify long-term balance and validity of the model employed in the research. The research results indicate that within a long-term period, there is balance between changes in the rupiah exchange rate and macro-economic variables, i.e. interest rate and inflation within the observed period. On the other hand, within a short-term period changes in the rupiah exchange rate are affected significantly by interest rate, inflation and the ECT variable. Within such a period, PDB, and M2 variables do not significantly affect the volatility of rupiah exchange rate. Thus, it can be concluded that the rupiah exchange rate tend to respond to changes occurring in macro-economic variables, especially interest rate and inflation.

Abstract

Recently, the relationship between farmer exchange rates and the variables that influence them still leaves debate and various empirical findings. In general, this study aims to 1) analyze inflation's effect on farmers' exchange rates in Eastern Indonesia. 2) Analyze the effect of changes in the agricultural sector's economic structure on the exchange rate of farmers in Eastern Indonesia. 3) Analyze the effect of farmer exchange rates in the previous year on farmer exchange rates in Eastern Indonesia. 4) Analyze the simultaneous effect of the inflation rate, changes in the economic structure, and the previous farmer exchange rate on farmers' exchange rate in Eastern Indonesia. The analysis method used is descriptive qualitative and quantitative analysis. The quantitative analysis tool used is the Panel Data regression model. The data used is panel data from 12 provinces in Eastern Indonesia for the period 2010-2018. There are several approaches to estimating the panel data regression model, so it is necessary to carry out statistical tests to get the best and efficient regression parameters (BLUE, Best Linear Unbiased Regression). In this study, the panel data estimation technique selected based on the Chow test, LM test, and Hausman test is the Random Effect Model. The results showed that changes in the agricultural sector structure and the lag of the farmer exchange rate were found to have a positive and significant effect on the exchange rate of farmers, while the inflation rate had a negative and significant effect on the exchange rate of farmers. In the end, local governments have a significant role in improving the agricultural sector's development, leading to increased welfare of farmers. Therefore, the existence of political will that sided with farmers is an essential factor in changing the agricultural sector's welfare.

Abstract

This thesis aims to analyze the influence of education, health, and Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) on the poverty level in Central Maluku Regency, both partially and simultaneously related to the Social Welfare Program. The research employs a conceptual framework consisting of three main dimensions: education, health, and GRDP. Through quantitative and qualitative approaches, the impact of education on poverty is elaborated, the role of health in reducing the poverty rate is investigated, and the relationship between GRDP and poverty levels is explored in depth. The research methods used include primary and secondary data collection, statistical analysis, and interviews with local stakeholders. The research results are expected to provide a holistic insight into the factors contributing to poverty in Central Maluku Regency. The results of this study illustrate that education, health, and GRDP variables partially influence poverty in Central Maluku Regency. This can be seen from the probability values of each variable, which are less than 0.01 %. This research is expected to provide conceptual and practical contributions to poverty alleviation efforts at the local level. Policy implications are expected to guide strategic steps to improve education, health, and economic growth to reduce poverty levels in this region. In conclusion, this thesis contributes to a better understanding of the complexity of poverty issues in Central Maluku Regency and provides a basis for the development of more effective intervention strategies to address these challenges.

Abstract

This research wants to know the partial influence of exports and imports on employment opportunities in Indonesia in the long term and short term. The research method used is the Multiple Regression Error Correction Model (ECM) method. The research results show that in the long term, the import variable is partially declared to reject H0 as evidenced by a probability t-statistic value of <0.05, the export variable is declared to accept H0 as evidenced by a probability t-statistic value of >0.05%. In the short term, the results of the Error Correction Model (ECM) are valid for short term estimation as evidenced by the probability value ECT (-1) <0.05, partially the imported variable is declared to reject H0 as evidenced by the probability t-statistic value <0.05, The eskpro variable is declared to accept H0 as proven by a t-statistic probability value of >0.05%. Policies need to be directed at achieving downstream domestic production and producing finished goods to support the expansion of export markets by increasing the number of export destination countries. And imports need to be directed to support exports and not for consumption.
