Abstract

Pemanfaatan energi alternatif yang ramah lingkungan dan memiliki nilai ekonomis yang tinggi saat ini mulai ramai dikembangkan. Salah satunya adalah termoelektrik generator. Termoelektrik generator memiliki nilai ekonomis yang tinggi dan tidak menimbulkan polusi sehingga sangat ramah lingkungan. Prinsip dasar dari termoelektrik generator adalah memanfaatkan perbedaan suhu yang terjadi di lingkungan menjadi energi listrik. Pada penelitian ini digunakan beberapa peltier yang disusun secara seri maupun parallel pada kondisi putaran mesin variasi mulai dari 1000 RPM sampai 2500 RPM yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui besar energi listrik yang dapat dihasilkan dari perbedaan temperatur pada panas mesin utama kapal hasil pembakaran yang terbuang dengan suhu kamar mesin. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa sebuah peltier mampu menghasilkan maksimal daya pada kondisi putaran mesin 2500 RPM dengan perbedaan suhu 39 ºC sebesar 0,84 Watt, dan susunan 6 buah peltier dirangkai seri memiliki daya yang lebih besar dibandingkan susunan peltier secara parallel pada kondisi putaran mesin yang sama yaitu sebesar 68.88 Watt. Ini menunjukkan sinkronisasi antara perbedaan suhu yang terjadi pada kedua sisi peltier dengan daya listrik yang dihasilkan pada peltier.

Abstract

The effort to the economy growth of developing countries is directed to create an integrated zone that will motivate export, invite investors, and be a catalyst of a continuous growing and developing region.  This research is to design agroestat as an integrated agricultural zone under one management based on local specific competitive horticulture with regional development approach.  The research of agroestat is holistic covering the whole value-chain (farming, industry, and trading) of the regional, national, and international process agriculture.  Agroestat make use of a complex and complicated inter-dependency and inter-relation of multidimensional (social, culture, and economy) among sectors (agriculture, industry, and commerce).  Therefore, this research applied, soft, system methodology to design conceptual model of agroestat (soft system) and decision support system (hard system).  The study of agroestat benchmarks to three models of newly specific developed integrated region that is Perkebunan Inti Rakyat (PIR), agropolitan, and ecoindustrial park model.  The conceptual model of agroestate, consist of five individual elements which are infrastructure, district, business, funding, and management.  As a whole it describes the agroestate model.  Regionalization of agroestate is using objective and subjective approach into three (agriculture, industry, and commerce) economic zone on fair free trade competition and decentralization of government policy.  Agroestat in the smallest autonomous area of Kabupaten/Kota applying the integrity concept, needs supports of local government in indirect-subsidies (infrastructure) and regulation (spatial order).  Agroestate needs an independent, professional, commercial institution to manage agroestate.  The validation of Agroestat DSS (decision support system) has been done in Kabupaten Brebes with shallot as local competitive horticulture commodity. Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk meningkatkan performa Toyota Kijang Innova Bensin dengan cara melakukan modifikasi pada bagian exhaust. Bagian yang dimodifikasi meliputi header menggunakan konfigurasi 4-1, kolektor, dan resonator. Dengan mendesain exhaust manifold dan kolektor yang lebih baik akan memperlancar aliran gas buang dari mesin. Sehingga mampu membuat performa mesin mobil menjadi lebih baik daripada sebelumnya. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah dengan mendesain header 4-1 dengan program Solidwork. Kemudian hasil desain tersebut dilakukan simulasi aliran untuk mendapatkan nilai pressure drop di tiap pipa silinder. Memodifikasi kolektor dengan menambahkan spike sehingga aliran udara lebih terarah. Mendesain resonator dengan diameter disesuaikan dengan diameter pipa tailpipe. Pengujian dilakukan dengan dynotest untuk mengetahui daya dan torsi mesin. Selain itu pengujian dilakukan dengan uji jalan untuk mengetahui besarnya konsumsi bahan bakar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan daya sebesar 3.8% dan torsi sebesar 3.9%. Hasil uji konsumsi bahan bakar menunjukkan konsumsi lebih irit 0.3km/l dibandingkan kondisi standar.

Abstract

Humans have the ability to determine the location of a sound source using two ears as a comparison called sound localization, just like the eyes when viewing a 3D movie. In the car, there are two sources of sound that left and right speakers. Both of these sound sources can lead to the creation of staging and imaging effects. However, unlike the home multimedia system that can be placed symmetrically to the listener. Therefore, the device needs to set the delivery time of the sound by the speaker. This research is done by designing a module to determine the accuracy of the module is carried out experiments using two different power supply. Power supply is contained in the adapter laboratory control system and the battery 9 V. From the research conducted, it was found that there was a difference delay generated IC PT2399 when it gets electricity from the power supply source is different. In this study also found that the time difference of the sound of each speaker to the ear affects the quality of staging and imaging effects, audio systems that use delay has a staging location in front of the driver.

Abstract

Leader and leadership is a human natural tendency. National leadership in Indonesia to now has focused more on a leader in harmony with his support community and the plural society that exists. National leadership in Indonesia is also influenced by the many believer of a religion. The research, Leadership of Java-Islam in governance will take the regent with many achievements in the administration of the Batang regency, Yoyok Riyo Sudibyo. The purpose of this study is to know and analyze the leadership of Java-Islam applied by the Regent Yoyok Riyo Sudibyo in the implementation of local government Batang regency.The recearch uses qualitative methods with data collection using in-depth interviews and documents study. Informants in the study are Regent, Vice of Regent, Regional Secretary, Chairman of DPRD, Bureaucracy, Society and Public Figure.Research results explained that the Regent of Yoyok tends to implement leadership of Java-Islam in the administration of Batang Regency. Decision-making in the Regent's tendency is serve like a moon (laku hambeging candra), serve like a fire (laku hambeging dahana),serve like a star (laku hambeging kartika) and serve like an earth (aku hambeging kisma), serve like a wind (laku hambeging samirana) also serve like a water (laku hambeging tirta), while not on serve like a sun (laku hambeging surya) and serve like an ocean (laku hambeging samodra). Then the implementation of leadership by Prophet in terms of shidiq, tabligh and fathonah. His firmness having a relationship with staff and society keep doing serve like a moon (laku hambeging candra), serve like a fire (laku hambeging dahana), serve like an earth (laku hambeging kisma), serve like a wind (laku hambeging samirana), serve like a sun (laku hambeging surya), serve like an ocean (laku hambeging samodra), and serve like a water (laku hambeging tirta) he don’t serve like a star (laku hambeging kartika).  Leadership on Islamic societies tend to do is shidiq, amanah, tabligh and fathonah. Abstract

Di Indonesia kacang tanah mempunyai prospek yang baik. Salah satu usah auntuk meningkatkan produksi kacang tanah adalah dengan cara meningkatkan efisional penanganan pasca Panennya.Tujuan penelitian ini adalah 1) membuat prototipe alat pengupas kacang tanah yang digerakan dengan tenaga manusia, 2) Menentukan tipe sudu pengupas dari 3 alternatip tipe yang dirancang, yaitu tipe 7 b uah mata sudu (tipe 5 7), tipe 3 mata sudu (tipe 5 3) dari tipe 1 buah mata sudu (tipe 5 1), dan 3) menentukan jarak antara  (clereance) silinder dan saringan pengupas yang  optimal.

Abstract

As perishable products, fruit have limited shelf life that could disturb the supply continuity on the market. A system consists of Cold storage and artificial ripening chamber could be a solution to this problem. Then, a mathematical model overcome the limited experiment time, expenses and technique.Over the past years, respiration models were built mostly by eksponential type of equations or air diffusion. This paper describes respiration models based on logistic growth model. The logistic model described a population growth in a sigmoid curve, which show slow increase at first, then sharpen until it slowed down to certain position influenced by inhibition factor. The accumulation of carbon dioxide of respiration in closed chamber showed the same symptoms. The inhibition factor used in the models is adapted from inhibition constant of Lee et al. (1992) respiration model, which based on enzyme kinetics. The model has successfully estimated climateric peak of Mas banana under three different length of cold storage, compared to secondary data.

Abstract

A riped jackfruit (Arthocarpus heterophyllus Lamk.) is one of the most popular fruit among tropical fruits, but it has inferior characteristic such as perishable, time consumed to served in fresh condition for peeling, and it consists of something sticky. Therefore a minimal processing must be done. This study is aimed to evaluate the respiration rate and find out the optimum condition for lengthening the storage life of minimally processed jackfruit under a modified atmospheric packaging. According to its respiration pattern, a jackfruit is classified as a climacteric fruit, due to its sudden increase of evaluated C02. The optimum gas composition for MAP is 4-7% 02 and 10-12% C02 with a storage temperature of 5 'C. The MAP of jackfruit using Styrofoam tray and Stretch Film packaging is able to lengthen its storage until 8 days.

Abstract

Abstract Demand and productivity of starfruit have been increased every year. With that potency, starfruit could determined as national fruit commodityto be exported. One of the obstacle that encountered by fruit export from Indonesia was the high attack of pest or fruit fly which caused many fruit do not qualify in the quarantine process. Moreover, the problem of postharvest handling should be more focused because the starfruit was perishable commodity. In this research, postharvest handling was combination of hot water treatment and soaking in CaCl2 solution. This research used starfruit variety of Dewi with ripeness index of level 4. Samples treated with hot water treatment (HWT) with three levels (35oC for 60’; 45oC for 40’ and 55oC for 15’). After HWT, samples treated with soaking in CaCl2 solution at three level treatments (60’; 40’; dan 20’). The results showed that HWT was very significantly affected on overall starfruit quality during storage, whereas treatment of soaking in CaCl2 solution wasn’t significantly affected on starfruit quality. Meanwhile, combination of HWT and CaCl2 were significantly affected to respiration rate, weight shrinkage, brightness level, yellow-blue pulp level, and panelists acceptance toward flavor and aroma. Treatment of HWT 55ºC for 15 minutes, softening of fruit pulp cannot be avoided because of the heat injury. Combination of HWT 45ºC for 40 minutes and 4% CaCl2 for 60 minutes can maintain quality till 24th day panelist acceptance test. Keywords : starfruit, hot water treatment, CaCl2, panelist, fungi Abstrak Permintaan dan produksivitas buah belimbing telah menunjukkan kenaikan dari tahun ke tahun, dimana dengan potensi ini, buah belimbing bisa menjadi buah nasional andalan ekspor. Salah satu kelemahan dari buah eksport Indonesia adalah tingginya serangan penyakit dan lalat buah yang menyebabkan beberapa buah tidak bisa lolos dari proses pemeriksaan karantina. Lebih dari itu, masalah penanganan pasca panen harus lebih fokus karena buah belimbing termasuk komoditas yang mudah rusak. Pada penelitian ini, penanganan pasca panen dengan kombinasi perlakuan pecelupan air pana dan perendaman dengan larutan CaCl2. Penelitian ini menggunkan buah belimbing varietas Dewi dengan indeks kematangan 4. Sample diperlakukan dengan air panas (HWT) dengan 3 tingkat suhu dan lama perendaman (35oC selama 60’; 45oC selama 40’ dan 55oC selama 15’), Setelah HWT, sample kemudian direndam dalam larutan CaCl2 dengan 3 tingkat lama pencelupan (60’; 40’; dan 20’). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan HWT sangat berpengaruh pada seluruh parameter mutu buah selama penyimpanan, namun perlakuan pencelupan dengan larutan CaCl2 tidak berpengaruh pada mutu produk. Kombinasi perluan keduanya berpengaruh terhadap parameter kecepatan respirasi, susut bobot, tingkat kecerahan kulit, level warna kuning-biru daging buah, serta tingkat penerimaan panelis terhadap bau dan aroma. Pada perlakuan HWT dengan suhu 55ºC selama 15 menit,menyebabkan pelunakan daging buah akibat dari ‘heat injury’. Kombinasi perlakuan HWT 45ºC selama 40 menit dan 4% CaCl2 selama 60 menitsdapat mempertahankan mutu buah sampai hari ke-24 berdasarkan penerimaan panelis. Abstract

Abstract Red chili is one of agricultural commodity which is needed by people and has high economic value.Because it’s not long-lasting product and always needed in fresh product, the appropriate packaging method and good transportation become a postharvest critical point for maintain the freshness of product in the time of distribution until on the costumer hand. The objective of this research was to do the transport simulation with bulk packaging for fresh curly red chili and to observe the effect of simulation and packaging to weight losses, mechanical losses, scattered losses, hardness, color and water content. Packaging method was performed in 2 kind of package which are cardboard box and plastic crate. Transport simulation was performed with 2 treatments which are 2.9 Hz frequency and 3.2 cm amplitude during 228 minutes and 3.9 Hz frequency and 4.2 cm amplitude during 173 minutes. This research compared the ability of the packages (plastic crate and carton box) to maintain the quality of curly red chili which is viewed in some aspects i.e. weight losses, mechanical loses, scattered losses, hardness, color and water content. Keywords: red chili, postharvest, packaging, transport simulation Abstrak Cabai merah adalah salah satu komoditas pertanian yang dibutuhkan masyarakat dan bernilai ekonomis yang tinggi. Karena tidak tahan lama dan selalu dibutuhkan dalam bentuk segar, cara pengemasan yang tepat serta transportasi yang baik menjadi titik kritis pascapanen untuk menjaga kesegaran produk pada saat didistribusikan sampai didapati oleh konsumen. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah melakukan simulasi transportasi dengan pengemasan curah pada cabai merah keriting segar dan melihat pengaruh kondisi dan lama getar serta pengemasan terhadap susut bobot, susut mekanis, susut tercecer, kekerasan, derajat warna dan kadar air pada cabai merah keriting segar. Pengemasan dilakukan pada 2 jenis kemasan yaitu kemasan karton (kardus) dan keranjang plastik. Simulasi transportasi cabai dilakukan dengan 2 perlakuan yaitu frekuensi 2.9 Hz dan amplitudo 3.2 cm selama 228 menit dan frekuensi 3.9 Hz dan amplitudo 4.2 cm selama 173 menit. Penelitian ini membandingkan kemampuan kedua kemasan (keranjang plastik dan kardus) untuk mempertahankan kualitas cabai keriting segar. Susut bobot, mekanis dan tercecer dialami pada kedua kemasan tetapi yang tertinggi pada keranjang plastik. Perubahan kekerasan dialami cabai pada kedua kemasan setelah simulasi transportasi. Perubahan warna terlihat dari penurunan nilai L, a, b pada cabai setelah disimulasikan.
