Abstract

The research aimed to know the effect of combination supplement plant growth regulator cytokinin BA with auksin NAA or 2,4-D to bud formation of lili flower (Lilium longiflorum Thunb) in vitro. Research had been conducted in the tissue culture laboratory of University State Manado in Tondano. The research used factorial completely randomized (CRD) consist of two experiments i.e cytokinin BA (B) auksin NAA (N); 2,4-D (D) with three replications and consist of ninety six treatment units. The observartion demand after ten month initiation. The results of the study showed that there was a very significant different of interaction auksin NAA and cytokinin BA of bud formation lili (Lilium longiflorum Thunb) in vitro. The medium was found positif performance for inducting callus on B2N4 ( 0,25 mg/L BA + 1,5 mg/L NAA). The treatment B4N4 ( 0,75 mg/L BA + 1,5 mg/L NAA) and B3N4 ( 0,5 mg/L BA + 1,5 mg/L NAA) producted bud and callus. Interaction auksin NAA and 2,4-D and cytokinin BA producted bud on B3D3 ( 0,25 mg/L BA + 2 mg/L 2,4-D), B3D2 ( 0,25 mg/L BA + 2 mg/L 2,4-D) and B4D2 ( 0,75 mg/L BA + 1 mg/L 2,4-D) treatment.

Abstract

Dunia kerja menuntut seseorang untuk tidak sekedar tahu tetapi harus memiliki keterampilan yang dapat diandalkan. Keterampilan yang dimaksud merupakan keterampilan kerja pada umumnya, seperti keterampilan kolaborasi, keterampilan berkomunikasi, dan kreativitas. Akan tetapi, keterampilan tersebut masih kurang dimiliki oleh mahasiswa yang akan jadi lulusan yang siap kerja. Oleh karena itu, untuk melatih mahasiswa sehingga memiliki keterampilan tersebut, maka perlu pembiasaan melalui pemberian tugas proyek. Melalui tugas proyek, mahasiswa akan bekerjasama dalam kelompok sehingga mereka akan terbiasa untuk bekerja dalam tim, berkomunikasi dalam tim, dan menumbuhkan kreativitasnya dalam menyelesaikan tugas yang diberikan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menerapkan tugas proyek dalam belajar sehingga dapat meningkatkan keterampilan kolaborasi, komunikasi, dan kreativitas mahasiswa. Jenis penelitian adalah quasi eksperimen dengan menggunakan desain Nonequivalent Post Test Only Control Group Design. Penelitian menggunakan dua kelas sebagai sampel penelitian, yaitu kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Analisis statistik deskriptif menunjukkan bahwa keterampilan kolaborasi, komunikasi, dan kreativitas mahasiswa pada kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi dibandingkan kelas kontrol. Analisis statistik inferensial menunjukkan bahwa ada pengaruh penerapan tugas proyek dalam meningkatkan keterampilan komunikasi dan kreativitas mahasiswa. Sedangkan untuk keterampilan kolaborasi, menunjukkan tidak ada pengaruh penerapan tugas proyek. Kata Kunci: tugas proyek, keterampilan kerja, kolaborasi, komunikasi, kreativitas.

Abstract

The neighborhood benefits greatly from the nursery program. The established program seeks to educate the general public about the construction and use of seedling houses. The seed bank offers the community assistance in preparing the vegetable seeds that are required by the community. implementation of the service program starting on July 12, 2022, for one month. Through observational methods, interviews, demonstrations, empowerment activities (counseling, training, mentoring, and building seedling houses), and assessment, data were gathered. The population of Lembang Sa'dan Ulusalu, Sa'dan District, and North Toraja Regency is the program's target audience. The extension of the seedling house program and nursery techniques to the community constitutes the first stage of empowerment activities. The second stage involves instruction and support in the production of growth regulators and organic fertilizers; the third involves the building of seed houses; and the fourth involves nursery support. The community is very passionate and supportive of this activity, as indicated by the improvement in community knowledge and abilities. They are also getting ready to start nursery activities regularly again.Keywords: Mentoring; nursery program; knowledge; abilities

Abstract

One of the traditional rituals performed by the Toraja community, the Mangrara Banua ceremonial, involves the use of plants. The Tongkonan House, the Toraja tribe's traditional house, holds an annual celebration of thankfulness known as the Banua Mangrara. The goal of this ethnobotany study is to identify the kinds of plants that the Toraja people employ in their Banua Mangrara rite. The Mangrara Banua Tongkonan Randan Aya' Bebo's, the Northern Sangalla District, and the Banua Tungkonan Tok Serrek, Maruang Batu Rongko, Sopai District were the locations of the research from November 2022 to April 2023. Observations, interviews, and documentation are used to gather data. Purposive sampling and snowball sampling are used to choose respondents. Utilizing qualitative descriptive analysis, the data was examined. According to research, the Mangrara Banua Tongkonan ceremony of the Toraja tribe uses 23 species of plants from 15 families that are significant. Different roles for these plant species are played during the course of traditional ceremonies. The organs of plants that are most commonly used in this traditional ceremony are the leaves and stems, while certain species also use the fruit and umbilia. The plants used in these traditional ceremonies cannot be changed because they are an ancestor's tradition. Therefore, in an effort to protect the plants, the Toraja community is pursuing planting operations in the fields surrounding Tongkonan houses and gardens.

Abstract

Penggunaan pupuk kimia yang berlebihan dapat merusak kualitas tanah, maka dari itu dengan teknik pemupukan yang menggunakan pupuk organik, diharapkan dapat memperbaiki sifat fisik, kimia, dan biologi tanah. Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian pupuk organik cair bonggol pisang terhadap pertumbuhan tanaman terung (Solanum melongena L). Pelaksanaan penelitian di Green House Fakultas Pertanian UKI Toraja selama 2 bulan. Penelitian ini disusun berdasarkan Rancangan Acak Lengkap dengan faktor tunggal dan 3 ulangan. Adapun 5 taraf perlakuan yaitu P0 (kontrol), P1 (pemberian POC bonggol pisang 100 ml/ tanaman), P2 (pemberian POC bonggol pisang 200 ml/ tanaman), P3 (pemberian POC bonggol pisang 300 ml/ tanaman), dan P4 (pemberian POC bonggol pisang 400 ml/ tanaman). Data yang telah dikumpulkan dianalisis menggunakan analisis sidik ragam yang dilanjutkan dengan uji BNJ taraf 0,05. Hasil penelitian menyimpulkan bahwa pemberian pupuk organik cair bonggol pisang berpengaruh nyata terhadap variabel tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun, dan bobot kering tanaman. Dosis 400 ml/tan memberikan hasil terbaik pada tinggi tanaman terung, jumlah daun, dan berat kering tanaman terung..

Abstract

Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh beberapa jenis pestisida organik terhadap serangan hama dan penyakit penting tanaman cabai Katokkon (Capsicum frutescens. L) Penelitian dilakukan pada bulan April-Juli 2021 di Alang-Alang, Lembang Sangbua, Kecamatan Kesu, Kabupaten Toraja Utara. Penelitian ini bersifat Tunggal dan dilakukan dalam bentuk percobaan dengan menggunakan faktor tunggal yang disusun dalam Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) yaitu: Sebagai perlakuan P0= Kontrol, PA= Serai, PB= Daun Sirih, PC= Lengkuas, PD=Babadotan, PE= Bawang Putih. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan (PB) memberikan pengaruh baik terhadap intensitas serangan hama dan penyakit, jumlah Buah terbentuk, jumlah buah per tanaman, jumlah buah gugur/plot, jumlah buah gugur/tanaman, bobot buah/tanaman, bobot buah/plot pada tanaman cabai katokkon. Kata Kunci: Cabai katokkon, pestisida organik.

Abstract

The rise in global soybean consumption is not equivalent to Indonesia's increase in soybean production. Enhancing cultivation methods, such as by exploiting local microorganisms, is one option to increase soybean yield in Indonesia (MOL). One of the raw materials for making MOL, which is very simple to find in the Toraja region, is banana weevil. Carbohydrates, which aid in the development of microbes, are abundant in the banana weevil. This study set out to discover how soybean plants (Glycine max L.) reacted to banana weevil feeding. A randomized block design (RBD) was used to conduct the study. There were 5 treatment levels: B0 (control), B1 150 cc/l water, B2 300 cc/l water, B3 450 cc/l water, and B4 600 cc/l water. The outcomes demonstrated that the soybean plants responded well to the banana weevil treatment. The plants that produced the maximum amount (379.93 g per plot, or 2.1 tons/ha) in response to the banana weevil MOL with a dose of 600 cc/l water were those that produced the most of that substance.

Abstract

Study on F3 Line Selection and Characterization At Kakondongan, Tallunglipu District, North Toraja Regency, Cayenne pepper (Capsicum frutescens L.) and Katokkon chili (Capsicum annuum L.) were crossed. The goal of this study is to choose the F3 lines produced by crossing Katokkon and Rawit chilies in order to extract novel features from their parents. Weighted (WINDEX) and unweighted (UNWINDEX) selection methods were used to construct the research. The plants are made up of 21 lines, and there are five potential plants on each line, making a total of 105 chili plants. The findings revealed that G3Y2-2, G7Y7-5, G7Y9-2, G10Y9-4, G7Y9-1, G9Y7-4, G4Y2-2, G7Y7-1, G5Y10-3, and G3Y2-4 were the lines chosen through weighted selection.G3Y1-2, G3Y2-2, G7Y7-5, G7Y7-1, G9Y7-4, G7Y9-2, G7Y9-1, G10Y9-4, G3Y2-4, and G9Y7-5 were the lines that were not chosen through unweighted selection.

Abstract

Research on the Effect of Biota Plus and Liquid Organic Fertilizer from Buffalo Livestock Waste on the Growth of Celery (Apium graveolens L.) with Hydroponic Cultivation Techniques, the research was conducted in Mentirotiku Village, Rantepao District, North Toraja Regency in March-June 2020. concentration of Biota Plus and POC of Buffalo Waste that are appropriate for the growth of Celery Plants. This research was a factorial experiment with 2 (two) factors arranged in a randomized block design (RBD). Factor 1 was Biota Plus consisting of three treatment levels, namely B1 = 15 ml/l water, B2 = 30 ml/l water, B3 = 45 ml/l water, while factor 2 was buffalo waste liquid organic fertilizer consisting of four treatment levels, namely P0 = 0 ml/l water, P1 = 2 ml/l water, P2 = 4 ml/l water, P3 = 6 ml/l water. The results showed that the Biota Plus 45 ml/l water treatment gave the best results on leaf blade height, number of tillers, root volume, and fresh weight. Treatment of POC Buffalo Livestock Waste 4 ml/I water gave the best results on plant height, number of leaves, number of tillers, root volume, and fresh weight on growth and production of celery plants. The combination of POC Biota Plus 45 ml/l water and POC Buffalo Waste 4 ml/l water gave the best effect on plant height, number of tillers, root volume, and plant fresh weight.
