Abstract

Intelligence is the ability to follow the knowledge, skills and expertise of a person to solve problems. In essence, every individual has several intelligences, including linguistic, mathematical, visual, spatial, kinesthetic, interpersonal, intrapersonal, musical and naturalist intelligences. However, the portion owned by each individual is not the same depending on how to develop all existing intelligence. With the birth of various types of intelligence that exist that each individual must understand, it is hoped that educators will not only assume that students who are smart and achievers are not academically intelligent. Because the potential of students in addition to the ability of the academic field only. All intelligences can be applied and can be companions independently of one another. In various theories of multiple intelligences, a teacher can indirectly master and learn with various learning methods. So that the function of the teacher here is as an educator, mentor, coach, advisor, reformer, creativity booster, generator, evaluator so that students succeed in optimizing.

Abstract

This article discusses the classroom action research that has been carried out regarding increasing students' attention to the Indonesian language learning process through ice breaking. This research was conducted because there were problems in learning in class IV SDN Boro, namely many students were chatting and playing alone instead of paying attention to the teacher explaining the material or friends during presentations. The purpose of this research is to increase students' attention through ice breaking in the Indonesian language learning process. This research was conducted from pre-cycle, cycle I, to cycle II. In the pre-cycle, data were taken from the results of observations, interviews, and questionnaires. While in cycles I and II, the data were obtained from observations and questionnaires. The results showed that the attention of students can be increased by the presence of ice breaking in learning activities. This can be seen from the average attention score obtained by students in the initial observation (pre-cycle) which is 51.3 in the medium category, then the average attention score increases in the first cycle which is 72.3 in the high category, and increased higher in the second cycle that is equal to 82.3 with a very high category and students who get a score of 70 are as many as 20 students (91%). This research should be a reference for solving problems related to the lack of attention of students in the Indonesian language learning process so as to improve the quality of learning.

Abstract

This article discusses field research that has been conducted regarding the efforts of Islamic Religious Education and Moral Education (PAIdBP) subject teachers to increase students' learning motivation so that learning achievement can increase. This research was conducted because of the importance of learning motivation possessed by students in the learning process in order to get learning achievements in accordance with learning objectives. The purpose of this study was to find out the efforts made by PAIdBP teachers in improving student achievement. The data in this study were obtained from observations, interviews and documentation. Observations and documentation were carried out during class lessons, while interviews were conducted outside the classroom with religion teachers at SDN Kamal 2. The results of the study show that teachers apply various efforts to increase students' learning motivation. Learning motivation needs to be improved so that the learning achievement of students can increase. This research should be a reference for improving student learning achievement by making efforts to arouse and increase student learning motivation so that learning achievement increases through PAIdBP lessons.
