Abstract

Abstract [The Relationship between Self Efficacy and Stress Levels in New Students of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, Warmadewa University Class of 2020] Stress is a psychological problem that many children, adolescents and adults encounter. In Riskesdas (2018), 9.8% of the 15-year-old Indonesian population has emotional problems such as stress. Freshmen will face various difficulties due to different learning situations from the past. This will affect the psychological status of students, one of which is characterized by stress, which interferes with daily activities or leads to suicidal ideation. Self-efficacy is an internal factor that affects the level of stress. When self-efficacy is high, stress levels are low. The purpose of this study is to understand the relationship between self-efficacy and freshmen's stress level. This study is an analytical observational study using a cross-sectional study model. The measurement tools used are the DASS-42 questionnaire to assess stress levels and the GSES questionnaire to measure self-efficacy. The sample used was a 2020 batch of 100 new FKIK University Warmadewa students, who were selected using simple random sampling. The collected data is analyzed using the SPSS application. The hypothesis test used is Spearman rank correlation test as a bivariate analysis, which shows that there is a significant negative effect between self-efficacy and stress level (r = -0.620 and p-value = 0.000) The chi-square test showed that compared with high self-efficacy, the risk of experiencing stress with low self-efficacy was 18.857 times higher (95% CI = 2,413 – 146,727 and p-value = 0.000). Keywords: stress level, self-efficacy

Abstract

Background: Fluorescence in Situ Hybridization (FISH) or complete chromosomal examination (karyotyping) is an examination of the gold standard in the diagnosis of Down syndrome, but it is quite expensive, so not all people in the society can use it. The purpose of this study was to determine the differences between the mean frequency of dermatoglyphics occurrence patterns and to determine the level of sensitivity and specificity of dermatoglyphics diagnostic tests on people with Down Syndrome. Methods: The method used in this study was observational analytic with a cross sectional study on 28 children who have Down syndrome derived from SLB C Negeri Tuna Grahita and 28 normal children of primary school 14 Dauh Puri. Data analysis using Independent T-test, a diagnostic test with sensitivity and specificity parameters was conducted by Receiver Operating Characteristic (ROC) curve. Data were analyzed using SPSS version 17 for Windows. Results: The results showed that on average, the highest percentage fingerprint patterns in people with Down syndrome are ulnar loops with a mean 6.39, whereas in normal children is a whorl with a mean 2.25. The diagnostic test, ulnar loop pattern, has the highest degree of accuracy with a cut-off=4 followed by sensitivity value 1 (0.87 to 1) and a specificity 1 (0.87 to 1).Conclusion: There are differences in the frequency of occurrence of fingerprint patterns in children with Down syndrome and normal children, as well as the patterns of the ulnar loop has the highest accuracy rate of sensitivity and specificity of the diagnostic test.

Abstract

Workplace burnout manifests as a psychological syndrome stemming from a protracted reaction to chronic interpersonal stressors. Burnout can lead to long-term fatigue and inability to work. The burnout phenomenon affects occupations of all professions, but a large number of studies show that people with jobs that involve helping others or social workers are particularly vulnerable to burnout. Work motivation is linked to individual behavior in suppressing stress in work situations. Work motivation functions as a form of encouragement that directs a person's behavior in a challenging problem. The present investigation aimed to ascertain the correlation between burnout and work motivation in Civil Servants stationed at the Office of Public Works, Spatial Planning, Housing, and Residential Areas (DPUPRPKP) of Bali Province. This research is an analytic descriptive research with cross sectional design. The subjects in this study were 150 civil servants at the DPUPRPKP of Bali Province. The sampling technique employed was stratified random sampling. Data manipulation shall be carried out using Microsoft Excel, encompassing both univariate and bivariate analyses. The instruments utilized comprise the Maslach Burnout Inventory-General Survey (MBI-GS) questionnaire to gauge the extent of burnout, alongside the Abraham Maslow Model questionnaire to assess work motivation levels. The findings from this inquiry unveil a significant association between burnout and work motivation (p=0.000), with the correlation coefficient measuring at -0.959. This robust correlation indicates an opposing direction, wherein heightened burnout levels among civil servant correspond to diminished work motivation.

Abstract

Processing of toga plants or traditional medicinal plants is an important part of human cultural heritage. Toga plants are rich in active compounds that have pharmacological effects and health benefits. Interest in the use of the toga plant as an alternative treatment is increasing. Toga plant processing involves various stages, from planting to extracting active compounds, with the important role of technology and innovation. The importance of the toga plant processing industry involves economic aspects, biodiversity conservation, and preservation of cultural traditions. The development of this industry requires a holistic approach involving various parties, from farmers to consumers, to ensure sustainability and welfare of the communities involved in this process. The partners in this service are the PKK Cadres of Celuk Sukawati Gianyar Village, totaling 8 people and coordinated by the PKK Cadre Chair. There are problems that have been identified by partners, namely economic and health problems. The economic problem is the decreasing economic capacity of partners, while the health problem is the lack of cadre skills regarding the use of family medicinal plants in health. The solution for partners to these two problems is to provide education regarding the use of toga plants and training regarding processing of toga plants. Partners are given tools and materials to assist partners in processing toga plants. Outcomes include increasing the knowledge of ≥ 80% of partner members regarding the use of toga plants and ≥ 80% of partner members receiving training in processing toga plants to increase family income.
