Abstract

Qualitative analysis is used to determine the ideal integrated service benchmarks during Covid-19 pandemic and how to improve the service. The final part is a SWOT analysis to find the right strategy to improve the integrated service by Customer Service (CS). The study was conducted on 375 respondents consisting of students and employees of Universitas Negeri Semarang who intensively communicated in two directions, namely via email and live chat. The results show that as many as 99% stated that they were satisfied with the integrated service before the face-to-face service was stopped during the covid-19 pandemic. After the COVID-19 pandemic, the satisfaction index decreased by 51% to 48% which was influenced by the emotions of customers from various ages so that the ideal service benchmarks during the pandemic is the use of a simple language easily understood by various generations and a concise and fast Standard Operating System (SOP). The SWOT strategy to improve services given by CS is to diversify the work system by utilizing strengths to overcome threats

Abstract

Abstract

The analysis of light intensity reduction that pass the contact lenses and the identification of contact lenses’ ability as the eyes protector are conducted by measuring light intensity reduction after penetrate contact lenses, then decide the focus of the topic that involved the light’s ability to penetrate contact lenses, investigation from the quantum physics point of view, and analysis of physical lenses as eyes protector. The negative impact of sunlight radiation is the damage of retina tissue in the eyes. The damage of this tissue is the consequence of the bigness of wavelength; it doesn’t come from the light intensity. Thereby, the contact lenses that are not layered by anti UV can’t be protector from the damage of eyes tissue. Those contact lenses play role as polarizer that is only able to reduce the light intensity. If the light intensity that is entering the eyes decreased, as a result, it will decrease dazzled effect which causes eyesight clearer. Power of light intensity reduction from contact lenses is in line with water-content seen based on the trend of attenuation coefficient quantity. Attenuation coefficient produced by contact lenses which has 38% of water content is 0,46 and 60% of light source produce by laser pointer is 0,56, fluorescent light source is 0,34 and 0,40, and sun light is 0,41 and 0,45. Recommendation in choosing water-content in contact lenses depends on the user’s tears production. If the user’s tears production is rather in a great quantity, it is recommended to use contact lenses with high water-content in order that the position of contact lenses is not easy to shift, although the power of light intensity reduction is rather small, vice versa. Abstract

The study aims to improve the effectiveness of the online attendance system at Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES). The existing system, reliant on web-based input via tokens and employee identification numbers, suffers from inefficiencies and potential inaccuracies due to proxy attendance. These limitations hinder productivity and the accuracy of performance appraisals. To address these challenges, a Smart Machine Presence system was designed and implemented, utilize RFID e-money cards which become employee Identification cards (ID Card)  to streamline the process and eliminate the need for manual input. This novel system employs Raspberry Pi 4 Model B technology, integrated with RFID readers and camera modules for robust authentication. The research utilized a three-stage approach: system needs analysis, prototype design, and system development. Usability testing conducted with 20 participants using the System Usability Scale (SUS) yielded a score of 86.8, indicating high user satisfaction and effectiveness. The proposed system demonstrated significant advantages, including improved data validity, enhanced operational efficiency, and reduced resource costs compared to traditional systems. This study concludes that the Smart Machine Presence system is a cost-effective, efficient, and scalable solution for modern attendance management systems.
