Abstract

Purpose: This study aims to investigate the implementation of the Internal Quality Assurance System at Private Islamic Religious Universities in the Nusa Tenggara region, specifically focusing on institutions that have not yet attained the minimum required accreditation ratings. Additionally, it seeks to identify the key factors that impede the effectiveness of internal quality assurance initiatives.Method: This research employs a qualitative field study approach. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and document analysis involving participants from six selected institutions, including university leaders and managers of internal quality assurance units. Data analysis was conducted concurrently, utilizing an interactive model work system. The validity of the data was assessed through credibility tests, which were implemented by extending the research duration, enhancing observation persistence, and employing triangulation methods.Result: The implementation of the internal quality assurance system is currently inadequate and primarily motivated by accreditation requirements rather than by a commitment to continuous quality improvement. Most institutions are deficient in establishing comprehensive quality assurance frameworks, maintaining proper documentation, and fostering a robust quality culture, which can be attributed to limited resources, inadequate planning, and insufficient understanding among leadership. Consequently, many institutions struggle to meet accreditation standards. To enhance their effectiveness, these institutions must fortify their internal quality assurance systems through consistent planning, leadership commitment, and support from their coordinating bodies for private sector universities to ensure sustainable quality in higher education.Practical Implications for Economic Growth and Development: This study serves as a valuable reference for the development of a more effective quality management system in university governance, aligned with the National Standards of Higher Education and responsive to the evolving demands of society. By implementing sound governance practices, institutions can ensure the delivery of quality education, ultimately producing competent graduates who are well-equipped to meet the needs of the business and industrial sectors.

Abstract

In Islam, there is no clear explanation of the age limit as a condition of marriage, other than about aqil-balig. However, in West Nusa Tenggara (NTB), there is a Governor's policy that requires a man or woman who wants to get married for the first time at least 21 years old. This article examines the basis and purpose of implementing the marriage age restriction policy in NTB. The author conducted qualitative research and interviewed relevant interviewees and carried out documentation. The analysis technique used is an interactive model, whose data validity is tested based on data credibility criteria. This study concludes that the enactment of the policy on the maturation of marriage age is based on the various risks faced by the people who have married at an early age. The policy is expected to reduce the practice of early marriage in order to create a generation of plans and increase the Community Development Index. The policy is very rational to prepare NTB's golden generation in 2025.

Abstract

This research is proposed an empirical phenomenon of local community opposition to the policy of land acquisition of Mandalika Resort Lombok Tengah area. This study aims to examine the involvement and power of the actors in the process of the birth of the policy. The design of this study using qualitative methods with the techniques of determining informants using snow ball. The results of this study revealed that the birth of the policy of land acquisition Mandalika Resort area is the result of political compromise between the Regional Government which relies on its power and PT. LTDC with its capital strength without the involvement of actors from local community elements. This research concludes that the close relationship between state and capital owners in policy formulation will be the reduction of public power as the actor of policy formulation, so the policy decision is less legitimacy

Abstract

Although digital media increasingly shape Islamic practices and da’wah, limited scholarly attention has been paid to how Generation Z engages with digital Qur’an applications in rural contexts. This study aims to examine how Generation Z in Muncan Village interprets, experiences, and utilizes digital Qur’an applications as tools for both personal spirituality and religious propagation. Employing a qualitative case study design, the research involved 28 purposively selected participants aged 18–25 who actively used applications such as Quran Best, Muslim Pro, and Ayat. Data were gathered through participant observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation, and analyzed using Miles, Huberman, and Saldana’s interactive model—comprising data condensation, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that digital Qur’an applications are perceived by Generation Z as both practical and spiritually enriching, facilitating daily worship, comprehension, reflection, and the cultivation of hybrid religiosity. Key factors influencing engagement include technological accessibility, social interaction, intrinsic spiritual motivation, and user-centered design. Despite these advantages, challenges such as digital distractions and emotional attachment to the printed mushaf persist. Additionally, the use of these applications has transformed Islamic da’wah into a participatory and ethically conscious digital practice, wherein individual acts of devotion extend into online sharing and peer-supported religious engagement. The study concludes that digital Qur’an applications significantly enhance recitation, understanding, and expressions of digital piety, reflecting a broader transformation in contemporary Islamic observance. These findings contribute to the theoretical development of digital religiosity and offer actionable insights for educators, da’i, and application developers in advancing inclusive and context-sensitive digital da’wah strategies. Future research should investigate long-term usage patterns and comparative rural–urban dynamics.
