Abstract

This study explores the relationship between the concepts of humanity, human rights, and social justice in the context of Islamic law. Using the method of literature study and comprehensive literature analysis of the results of previous studies. This study aims to outline how Islamic law recognizes human dignity, protects individual rights, and promotes social justice. The results of this study reveal that Islamic law has a strong foundation in the principles of humanity, human rights, and social justice. Islamic law recognizes human dignity, integrates individual rights, and encourages the protection of the vulnerable. This concept creates a strong moral foundation for achieving a more just and inclusive society. In an increasingly connected and diverse world, a deep understanding of the relationship between Islamic law and Human Rights is key to promoting tolerance, mercy, and peace. With constant dialogue and thoughtful implementation efforts, Muslim societies can play an important role in building a better world that respects individual rights without forgetting the precious values of religion.

Abstract

Da'wah is an effort to spread religious teachings and strengthen the faith and practice of the people. Therefore, in da'wah, it is essential to reflect on prophetic values so that da'wah can be delivered correctly and by religious teachings. This study reflects on prophetic values to strengthen da'wah in the digitalisation era. This study is qualitative research in the form of library research with normative-philosophical research type with a conceptual research category that uses a descriptive-analytical research approach. Therefore, the results of the study state that strengthening da'wah in the digitalisation era can take advantage of technology to expand its reach and increase its effectiveness of da'wah. However, in using technology, it is also necessary to reflect prophetic values to avoid deviating from religious teachings. The existence of prophetic values such as humanisation, liberation and transcendence that are integrated to ground Islamic values in the lives of Muslims can be the basis for realising da'wah activities that uphold the values of benefit for human social life. Therefore, Islamic da'wah activities are projected to instil Islamic da'wah values that can synergistically empower human and natural resources because it not only aims to strengthen the vertical dimension of tawhid but also includes horizontal relationships with fellow humans and all creatures.

Abstract

Childfree is a phenomenon that refers to a couple's decision not to have children, either voluntarily or temporarily. This phenomenon has become a significant topic of discussion in various countries and has become part of a global issue, including Indonesia. This issue is significant and debatable in society. In the context of the Islamic religion, having children is considered God's will, and children should be looked after properly. In societies that adhere to pronatalist views, the child-free phenomenon often faces pressure and stigmatism. However, these decisions often arise due to social, economic, and cultural changes. This research applies qualitative methods by analysing relevant literature about the childfree phenomenon. This research aims to review the factors behind the choice to be child-free in various countries. The research results show that many factors, including personal, economic, and environmental factors, influence the decision not to have children. In Indonesia, childfree still needs to be fully implemented, and the reason for choosing childfree is motivated by economic considerations. Meanwhile, abroad, the influence of childlessness is more varied, ranging from personal, economic, environmental, and psychological factors. Further research into the childfree phenomenon is needed to better understand its impact on families and society.

Abstract

This study seeks to explore the pattern of hadith reception in the da’wah practices within the Muslim community of Lilinta, Raja Ampat. In particular, it aims to explore how the hadith text, articulated in Arabic, continues to influence local behaviors, beliefs and customs, despite the community’s lack of cognitive understanding of the language. Employing the living hadith approach and adopting Stuart Hall’s reception theory, this study reveals that Lilinta community demonstrates a habitus pattern of ‘negotiation’ in hadith reception. This study found that while on the one hand the redaction of the hadith was not literally understood by the local Muslims, but the essence of hadith was practiced as cultural doctrines. The pattern of hadith transformation suggests that the hadith and its practices co-exist on divergent paths. Practice transpires through doctrinal channels, while the narrative remains misunderstood. This communal-practical living hadith, grounded in habitus rather than cognition, culminates in robust, albeit static traditions. This study concludes that hadith effectively molds the behavior and beliefs of the Lilinta community when viewed from the practiced behaviors over cognitive understanding.

Abstract

This article addresses the underexplored issue of the neglect faced by Mualaf as zakat recipients post-prophethood, necessitating a contemporary deconstruction of the concept. The objective is to ensure that, despite editorial disparities, the essence of Mualaf aligns with fiqh mainstream. The method involves applying Jaques Derrida's deconstruction theory in a qualitative research framework. The results reveal that the deconstruction of contemporary Mualaf primarily intersects with praxis, emphasizing the awakening of individuals' hearts to rediscover their inherent human nature inclined towards goodness. The implications point to a reconstructed understanding of Mualaf, manifested in practical initiatives such as efforts to revive those ensnared in immoral activities, support mental rehabilitation for individuals affected by addiction, and contribute to the development of isolated communities or tribes in remote areas. This study sheds light on the transformative potential of reevaluating Mualaf in addressing societal challenges and advocates for a nuanced understanding in the discourse surrounding zakat recipients

Abstract

The relationship between humans and nature are two things that cannot be separated. Even though humans have a responsibility to maintain the environment, humans often also become the source of environmental problems. This study aims to delineate the understanding of the concept of humanity in Islam and its relationship with the environment, highlighting critiques directed at human practices related to the environment and exploring efforts to align beliefs and environmental sustainability through the lens of Islamic humanities. A holistic method of literary analysis is employed in this study, involving an exploration of relevant sources, including religious texts and scholarly literature in Islamic humanities. The findings of this study underscore that the Islamic concept of humans as stewards of the universe forms the foundation of environmental ethics. However, human actions often fail to reflect this role, resulting in adverse impacts such as pollution, resource exploitation and climate change on the environment. In the context of changing times and global environmental challenges, environmental ethics in Islam remains a subject of ongoing debate. Therefore, it is essential to replace outdated understandings with more diverse interpretations within Islamic humanities and to regard Islamic values concerning the environment as valuable intellectual assets open to continuous debate. Through a holistic approach, Islamic humanities can serve as an educational tool, a source of inspiration and a driver of ethical actions toward the environment in Muslim communities and across the broader human society. Abstract

The globalitation era is an era that requires people to quickly adapt to the times that are increasingly advancing rapidly. Because if it is not adaptive it will be a human being left behind. While the era of globalization demands a tight contestation. Especially in the economic sector. Every global company has its own strategy in marketing its business. They don't think about the fate of their competitors. That's because they think that other companies are tough competitors. So that their competition prioritizes individual (company) profits and stops other companies that have the same business product. Of course, this global business competition is contrary to the principles of Islamic economics. Which, the principles of Islamic economics are not solely seeking individual gain. But also think about mutual benefits. Therefore, there are at least three Islamic economic principles that must exist even in the midst of global business competition, namely multiple ownership, freedom to act, and social justice. These three basic principles of Islamic economics must still exist in economic behavior and remain relevant even in the midst of global economic contestation.
