Abstract

Pacific white shrimpculture is having problems caused by bacteria infection. The cause of  bacteria infection is V. harveyi, it can decrease seed production. Pathogenicity of vibriosis can decrease with inhibition by other types of  bacteria. The aim of the research was to get competitor V.harveyi isolates through identification and challenge test in vitro and in vivo. The result of screening of bacterial isolates were obtained from cultivation supplement products to produced 4 pure isolates with different morphologically colonies and cells. There was one potential isolate could inhibits V. harveyi by inhibition test in vitro. Biochemical test from three different  laboratories were identified that Acinetobacter sp. as competitor to V. harveyi and it was not pathogenic to Pacific white shrimp. Challenge test Acinetobactersp. against V. harveyi on Pacific white shrimp larvae was conducted through three treatments, without given V.harveyi and Acinetobacter sp. As controls; treatment with given bacteria V.harveyi and treatment with given V. harveyi and Acinetobacter sp. The challenge test results showed that treatment with given of V.harveyi and Acinetobacter sp. may decreased V. harveyi density of 6.3x106CFU/mL to 7.5x103CFU/mL which could suspected to decrease pathogenicity of competition number of colonies.

Abstract

Increased immunity shrimp became one of the targets of feeding with a complete nutrient constituent composition. Shrimp have a different immune system compared to fish in general and can be increased quickly by providing the right nutrients. Research nutrient supplementation to increase non-specific immunity, especially in Pacific white shrimp (Litopenaeus vannamei) still rarely done, especially with the addition of fish oil. This research was conducted to study the effect of fish oil supplementation in different oil among lemuru oil and patin oil with a non-specific parameter of Pacific white shrimp among total haemocyte count (THC), the differential haemocyte count (DHC), challenge test with Vibrio harveyi and relative percent survival (RPS). Design of experiments using a completely random design with three treatments and four replications. The treatment is adding  the lemuru oil (treatment A), patin oil (treatent B) and without the addition of fish oil (control). The results showed that the addition of lemuru fish and patin fish oil treatment can increase THC, DHC, which affect the phagocytic activity relative to the level of protection without giving fish oil (P<0.05). The increasing of non-specific immunity of Pacific white shrimp with fish oil needs to analyze in the economic  side to be more economical if applied to the shrimp farmers or commercial feed mills.

Abstract

Abstract. Tuberculosis (TB) is a global health problem caused by infection bacterium Mycobacterium tuberculosis. One of the risk factors for TB is type 2 diabetes mellitus (DM). Type 2 DM causes a decrease in the patient's immune system so that he is susceptible to infectious diseases. The purpose of the study was to analyze the relationship between a history of type 2 DM and the incidence of pulmonary TB in Al-Ihsan Hospital, Bandung. This research is an observational analytic, using a case control approach. The data used is secondary data in the form of medical records for 2015-2020, the subjects of this study amounted to 201 patients consisting of 67 pulmonary TB patients and 134 non-pulmonary TB patients who were selected by purposive sampling from the medical records of the internal medicine polyclinic at Al-Ihsan Hospital. Results: The results showed that from 67 pulmonary TB patients there were 23 patients with a history of Type 2 DM and from 134 non-pulmonary TB patients there were 24 patients with a history of Type 2 DM. The results obtained based on the analysis with the chi square test were P<0.05 (P = 0.010) From these results it can be seen that there is a significant relationship between a history of type 2 DM and pulmonary TB. The Odds Ratio value obtained is 2,396, it can be concluded that patients with a history of type 2 DM have a 2 times greater risk of developing pulmonary TB compared to patients who do not have a history of type 2 DM. Abstrak. Tuberkulosis (TB) merupakan masalah Kesehatan global yang disebakan oleh infeksi kuman mycobacterium tuberculosis. Faktor risiko terjadinya TB salah satunya Diabetes melitus (DM) tipe 2. Abstract

Machinery is a very important sector in the production process in every company. Machine maintenance is a very important activity, so the interval of component replacement and machine maintenance must be scheduled more intelligently. incinerators as a tool to destroy waste and use the heat arising from the combustion of waste to be converted to steam production, where the steam is reused for the production process of making wrapping paper. And the Incinerator component is a conveyor belt used for the process of transferring the waste to be incinerated. The Ishikawa diagram or known as the fish bone diagram is one of the Seven Quality Tools methods used to find the cause of a problem. This method divides the problem into cause and effect which consists of several factors: machine, management, materials, manpower, environment, measurement, method. The result of this study is that there are factors that cause damage or stuck on the carry roller belt conveyor C101 there are 4 points including: a. Material (life time of material carrier rollers), b. Machine (excess load causing shaft damage), c. environment (environmental conditions and weather factors), d. Human (Lack of knowledge about conveyor belts).

Abstract

This research examines post-pandemic strategies for designing traditional market buildings in Indonesia to accommodate the needs of older adult. The pandemic has impacted their physical and mental vulnerabilities, necessitating increased inclusive design standards. Previous research has not captured the importance of older adult preferences for post-pandemic design strategies, especially in local market buildings in Java. This research aims to provide an overview of how traditional market building designs can accommodate their preferences. This research used mixed methods, starting with a survey of 121 respondents aged 50 years and over, followed by in-depth interviews with 20 participants. Quantitative data highlights design gaps, such as a lack of greenery, inadequate parking and circulation space, and limited senior-friendly features, such as non-slip floors, seating, and ramps. The interview further detailed the older adult's needs and preferences, such as material selection, seating distribution, minimizing stairs, adding ramps and handrails, and circulation. The findings show that the current design is not sufficient to meet post-pandemic and older adult’s needs. The provision of building interior cleanliness meets minimum standards, but inclusivity is still neglected, with more than 83% of respondents stating that the design is not responsive to them. Moreover, participants emphasized the importance of reorganizing the spatial layout, including widening paths, seating for resting (or waiting), and zoning for certain commodities. The research contribution is to provide recommendations for post-pandemic traditional market designs that are responsive to the needs of the older adult. Findings advocate for traditional market spaces that are resilient and inclusive, prioritizing health and community.
