Abstract

AbstractFicus is a genus of plants that require external assistance in order to pollinate.Pollination infruit is Ficus highly dependent on various pollinator insects. Thispollinator insect will help the pollination process in Ficus. The purpose of this studywas to determine the pollinator species associated with four species Ficus in theBatuputih Nature Park. This study used a method by tracing the Batuputih Nature Parkarea to collect data on four species Ficus. The results showed that there were 8pollinator species associated with four species Ficus , consisting of 66 pollinators fromthe family Agaonidae, ordo Hymenoptera. Pollination in four species is Ficus not onlycarried out by one pollinator insect species per Ficus but by two or even three pollinatorinsect species and one pollinator species can pollinate more than one species Ficus.2Frequency distribution analysis shows the number of pollinator frequencies foundin four species Ficus. The results of the diversity index analysis showed that thediversity of pollinators in the four species was Ficus low. The regression analysisshowed a very low addition for each increase in one unit diameter, while the results ofthe correlation analysis showed that the diameter of syconia and the number ofpollinator insects were not correlated. Keywords: Association of pollinator species, Ficus spp., Batuputih Nature Park.

Abstract

Abstract Taman Hutan Raya Gn. Tumpa H. V. Worang is an area that has an area of 208.81 ha with an ecological function that is able to absorb carbon because of the canopy stratification formed from a variety of vegetation, including trees, poles, saplings, seedlings where each type of plant will carry out a cycle of carbon and oxygen exchange. This study aims to analyze the total carbon storage of each tree species and the total accumulation of carbon stored in trees in the Gunung Tumpa H.V. Forest Park. people. The method used in this study is the Non-Destructive Sampling method with an observation map plot of 100 m x 100 m at the research site. The results of this study showed that there were 21 tree species with 88 individuals from 17 families where Alstonia Scholaris had the highest carbon storage value, namely 389.35 tons/ha. followed by Palaquium obavatum with a carbon storage value of 78.15 tons/ha, Dracontomelon dao 78.08 tons/ha, Lithocarpus celebicus 74.24 tons/ha, Calophyllum soulattri 35.57 tons/ha. Then the carbon value in Artocarpus atilis is 6.77 tons/ha, Dhyosphiros sp. 12.77 tons/ha, Dillenia ochereata 5.07 tons/ha, Euiginia aquea 7.28 tons/ha, Ficus benjamina 29.30 tons/ha, Ficus fistulosa 30.33 tons/ha, Gnetum gnemon 8.07 tons/ha ha, Homalium foetidum 4.80 tons/ha, Knema latericia 10.83, Laphopetalum javanicum 7.23 tons/ha, Myristyca fatua 9.67 tons/ha, Macaranga tanarius 4.63 tons/ha, Pterocarpus indicus 24.41 tons /ha, Pterospermum javanicum 10.48 tons/ha, Schleichera oleosa 8.38 tons/ha, and Terminalia copelandii 2.94 tons/ha and Accumulated total carbon storage trees in TAHURA Gn. Tumpa H.V. Worang is 838.35 tons/ha (good category). The area is about 208.81 hectares, the potential for storing carbon is 175,055.86 tons of carbon. Abstract

Abstract Community forests in North Sulawesi have played a significant role in meeting various needs for wood, ranging from firewood, building materials and other uses. The problem with community forest management in the study area is the inadequate knowledge of farmers about the importance of silvicultural measures in an effort to accelerate stand growth/increment. The purpose of this study was to determine the knowledge of farmers' abilities regarding the application of silvicultural measures and their application. This study uses the interview method to public knowledge about the importance of silvicultural action. The villagers of Winebetan, Kawatak, Kayuuran Atas, Noongan in the Community Forest area in South Langowan District, Minahasa Regency have partly understood the purpose of silvicultural actions in managing community forests. Where this can be seen from the application of silvicultural actions that have been carried out in order to utilize land to get maximum results from community forest management. Abstract

ABSTRACT Taxonomically, orchids belong to the Orchidaceae family, one of the taxa with the most species and habitat diversity. In Indonesia there are about 6,000 species of orchids or about 23% of the 26,000 species of orchids in the world. This study aims to conduct an inventory of forest orchid species and analyze the diversity index of orchid species in the nature conservation area of TAHURA Gunung Tumpa. This research was carried out in May 2021. Data collection was carried out using an exploratory method by following 8 transect lines based on the 8 cardinal directions. Data collection for orchids was carried out from morning to evening at 07:00 - 16:00 WITA. The resulting inventory of forest orchid species in TAHURA Gunung Tumpa found 184 individuals consisting of 8 orchid species. There were 3 terrestrial orchids (Nervilia aragoana, Calanthe triplicata, Eulophia spectabilis) and 5 epiphytic orchids (Phalaenopsis amabilis, Pholidota imbricata, Dendrobium sp, Diplocaulobium sp, Eria iridifolia). The orchid species diversity index at TAHURA Gunung Tumpa falls in the medium category with a value of H' = 1.29
