Abstract

Yogyakarta has special transportation characteristics. Travel patterns in urban areas in Yogyakarta were determined by the urban population characteristics in Yogyakarta City. The spread of work places or school locations that are far away from the residential areas tend to generate transportation problems. Every day, many trips to work and school locations have to pass the city center which impact urban roads. This study aims to analyze the trip pattern in the City of Yogyakarta. The results show that motor cycles are the most transportation mode used by the travelers. It is also found that the majority of vehicles are used by a single traveler. Yogyakarta memiliki karakteristik khusus transportasi. Pola perjalanan di daerah perkotaan di Yogyakarta ditentukan oleh karakteristik populasi perkotaan di Kota Yogyakarta. Penyebaran lokasi tempat kerja atau sekolah yang terletak jauh dari tempat tinggal cenderung menghasilkan masalah transportasi. Setiap hari, banyak gerakan yang dilakukan untuk pekerjaan dan sekolah melintasi pusat kota yang berdampak ke jalan kota. Abstract

Yogyakarta have many predicates as a city, and has special characteristics of the transportation. Travel patterns in urban areas in Yogyakarta determined by the urban characteristics population in Yogyakarta city. The spread location of work place or school that located far away from the residence tend to generate the problem to the transportation. Every day,  many movements are done for works and to schools crossing the city center that impact to the urban roads. This research goal is to analyze the factors of land use as one element of the planning that affects the efficiency of transportation. The results of the study and modeling is expected to obtain an efficient urban transportation in case Yogyakarta city. The selected case is the city of Yogyakarta, which represent the medium city. The research methods was household surveys with a questionnaire instrument for the origin-destination trip. From the origin-destination matrix, then modeling using a four-step transport model will done, to obtain the road assignment. The result is decreasing volume significantly in road network caused shorten live place in the city.

Abstract

Pertumbuhan penduduk dan aktivitas ekonomi di Kota Ruteng, Nusa Tenggara Timur, meningkatkan kebutuhan akan angkutan umum yang memadai. Namun, keterbatasan jumlah armada dan kondisi kendaraan yang tidak layak menyebabkan layanan yang kurang efisien, khususnya pada rute Terminal Lando – Kota Ruteng. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis kebutuhan armada dan mengevaluasi kelayakan finansial pengadaan armada baru. Metode yang digunakan meliputi survei lapangan, analisis kebutuhan berdasarkan waktu sirkulasi dan headway, serta evaluasi finansial melalui proyeksi biaya operasional dan arus kas. Hasil menunjukkan kebutuhan ideal sebanyak 12 unit armada, meningkat dari 7 unit eksisting dengan load factor 1,07. Usulan penggunaan kendaraan Suzuki New Carry Pick Up dinilai sesuai secara teknis. Secara finansial, proyek tidak layak tanpa subsidi (NPV –Rp 3.224.726.661; BCR 0,42; IRR –9%), namun menjadi layak dengan subsidi tarif Rp 3.000 per penumpang (NPV Rp 1.019.847.225; BCR 1,79; IRR 10%). Dapat disimpulkan bahwa subsidi pemerintah serta pendekatan koperasi berperan penting dalam menjamin keberlanjutan layanan angkutan umum.

Abstract

The Manguharjo Bridge has a traffic width of 6.50 m (two lanes in two directions) and is prone to congestion due to high traffic flow and limited road capacity. Congestion causes economic losses, environmental pollution, and energy waste. The Madiun City Government has proposed widening the bridge to address these issues. Based on this overview, a study is needed to assess the economic benefits of the Manguharjo Bridge widening plan. This research uses a quantitative methodology to analyze the benefits of widening the Manguharjo Bridge with two alternative lane widths over the bridge's 75-year lifespan. Primary data includes geometric surveys, traffic volume, and land use. Secondary data includes vehicle growth, time value, and vehicle component prices. Traffic performance analysis uses PKJI 2023, traffic forecasting, Vehicle Operating Cost and time value savings to evaluate the project's benefits. Based on the analysis results, Alternative 1 yields Vehicle Operating Cost savings of IDR 1,504,929,465,276 and time value savings of IDR 8,672,188,817,959. Alternative 2 achieved Vehicle Operating Cost savings of Rp3,903,545,756,479 and time value savings of Rp9,852,675,485,931. The results of the above analysis show that Alternatives 1 and 2 have good economic efficiency, which will be used for evaluation in determining the width of the traffic lanes on the Manguharjo Bridge.
