Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic in Indonesia affected several sectors, one of which was the education sector. With the outbreak, the government issued an online learning policy as an alternative to face-to-face learning. Online learning policies will affect the effectiveness of learning due to the lack of readiness of schools, teachers, and students. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of online learning during the pandemic. This subject were IV graders A SD Negeri Mertasinga 07Cilacap. This research type was a mixed quantitative qualitative research. Data collection techniques were obtained by observation, interviews, and questionnaires. The results of the study revealed that online learning could replace face-to-face learning during the pandemic and could run effectively if it was supported by sufficient devices and a stable internet connection as well as the teacher’s skill to use various online learning media such as WhatsApp, Google Classroom and Google Meet to attract attention and reduce student boredom.

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to identify the factors causing low reading interest among upper-grade students at SD Negeri 1 Banjarsari Kulon. It employed a qualitative research design with a descriptive approach. The subjects of this study included upper-grade teachers, parents of students, and upper- grade students. Each class consisted of four students: one enjoyed reading, two did not enjoy reading, and one could not read. The selection of students utilized a purposive random sampling technique. The data analysis technique involved qualitative description from observations, interviews, and documentation. The results indicate that students' reading interest at SD Negeri 1 Banjarsari Kulon is still very low. Two factors causing low reading interest among students are internal and external. Internal factors originate within the students, including reading ability, gender, reading motivation, reading habits, and laziness. External factors stem from outside the students, such as mismatched reading materials, television, family environment, school environment, mobile phones, and peer influence.Keyword: Factors Causing Low Reading Interest, Upper Grade. Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor penyebab rendahnya minat baca siswa pada kelas tinggi di SD Negeri 1 Banjarsari Kulon. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Subjek penelitian ini yaitu siswa kelas tinggi dimana setiap kelas ada empat siswa yaitu satu siswa senang membaca, dua siswa tidak senang membaca, satu siswa tidak bisa membaca, guru kelas tinggi, dan orang tua siswa. Pemilihan siswa tersebut menggunakan teknik purposive random sampling. Teknik analisis data penelitian ini menggunakan deskriptif kualitatif dari hasil observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa minat baca siswa di SD Negeri 1 Banjarsari Kulon masih sangat kurang terhadap bacaan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat dua faktor penyebab rendahnya minat minat baca siswa, yaitu faktor internal dan faktor eksternal. Faktor internal adalah faktor yang berasal dari dalam diri siswa yaitu kemampuan membaca, jenis kelamin, motivasi membaca, kebiasaan membaca, malas membaca. Sedangkan faktor eksternal merupakan faktor dari luar diri siswa yaitu buku bacaan yang belum sesuai, televisi, lingkungan keluarga, lingkungan sekolah, handphone, dan teman sebaya.Kata Kunci:  Faktor Penyebab Rendahnya Minat Baca, Kelas Tinggi.

Abstract

The study has an aim to analyze the multiple-choice questions in the final exam of Civic Education subject for the elementary school in Banjarnegara District. It applied a quantitative-descriptive approach. The sampling methods used here are random, stratified, and proportional sampling. From the sampling, it gave 10 schools, 4 core and 6 additional schools.  The qualitative analysis applied a review and the quantitative one used the computer software of ITEMAN 3.00 and the manual method. The result of qualitative analysis shows the questions have agreed with the standard, but need some improvements of materials, construction, and language/culture in some parts. The quantitative analysis proves that difference impact of the questions is poor (3%), satisfactory (11%), and good (86%). The questions difficulty level is too difficult (8,5%), moderate (68,5%), and too easy (23%). The effectiveness of the distractor in the question is effective (57%), ineffective (43%). The reliability of the items in a whole reaches 0,839, meaning the questions have a high consistence. From those results, it can be concluded that the questions are matched to the standard, but they need some improvements of materials, construction and language/culture. The questions have a good difference impact, a moderate difficulty, and an effective distractor. In addition, the questions are also highly reliable. Abstract

This study was motivated by the low narrative writing skills of the students in Class IVB at SD Negeri 1 Kedungwuluh, particularly in developing ideas, structuring a coherent plot, and using language that adheres to grammatical rules. These conditions indicate the need for innovation in teaching to help students become more active and focused in their writing. This study aims to improve narrative writing skills through the application of the Project-Based Learning (PjBL) model supported by single-image media. The method used is Classroom Action Research (CAR), conducted in two cycles, each consisting of two sessions with stages of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The research subjects consisted of 24 students. Research instruments included learning materials and student worksheets, while data analysis was conducted using descriptive qualitative and quantitative methods. The results showed an improvement in narrative writing skills in each cycle. The achievement rate in developing story outlines increased from 62.5% in Cycle I to 83.3% in Cycle II. Additionally, the ability to develop a story outline into a complete narrative text increased from 66.67% to 87.5%. This improvement confirms that the application of the Project-Based Learning model supported by a single image is effective in improving students’ narrative writing skills.

Abstract

Penelitian tindakan kelas memiliki tujuan untuk meningkatkan prestasi akademik siswa kelas IVA IPAS di SD Negeri 1 Kedungwuluh dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD), yang dilengkapi dengan alat bantu Wordwall. Penelitian ini dilakukan karena prestasi akademik siswa yang buruk selama proses pembelajaran. Studi ini dilakukan dalam dua siklus, yang masing-masing terdiri dari perencanaan, tindakan, pengamatan, dan refleksi. Semuanya dilakukan dengan menggunakan tes, pengamatan, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa prestasi akademik siswa telah meningkat secara signifikan. Nilai rata-rata siswa pada Siklus I adalah 72,11 dengan tingkat kelulusan 46%, sedangkan nilai aktivitas belajar meningkat dari 2,63 (55,5%) pada Siklus I menjadi 3,26 (78%) pada Siklus II. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa model STAD meningkatkan prestasi belajar siswa dan memenuhi syarat keberhasilan tingkat sebesar 75%.
