Abstract

This article analyzes the need to internalize the values of Islamic education in sports. One of the sports that promotes Islamic values is Mahatma. Facts on the ground show that sports that develop in the midst of society today do not prioritize spiritual health only prioritizing physical health alone, while spiritual health also needs attention. So that this discussion is well directed, the authors focus the problem of discussion on how to internalize the values of Islamic education in Mahatma sports. The study was conducted at the Ministry of Religion in Padang, located at Jl. Duku No.5 Ujung Gurun, Padang Barat District Padang West Sumatra. The purpose of this study is to look at the efforts of sports participants in internalizing the value of Islamic education in every sports movement, it is necessary to have a detailed assessment of the stages of inculcation. This research is a descriptive qualitative research that is describing and interpreting objects as they are and analyzing them using scientific methods. Data collection by observation, direct interviews and documentation. The technique used in data analysis is data display, data reduction and conclusions carried out with snowballsampling techniques. The data validity technique uses source triangulation. The results showed that the internalization of Islamic education values for Mahatma sports members was through the establishment of rules of dress, ablution, reciting Istighfar, Al-Fatiah, praying, breathing, remembrance, blessing, friendly smile and the emergence of mutual forgiveness. Through internalization, the impact resulting from Mahatma's sport on health is not only physical health, it also increases gratitude, sincerity, serenity, and draws closer to Allah SWT. Constraints on the field were found that this sport does not yet have its own place as a sports center so that the implementation of the sport still hitched a ride in another agency, namely the Ministry of Religion and MTsN Model Padang City Keywords: nternalization, Islamic Education, and Mahatma Sports

Abstract

Inclusive education is an educational service system that ensures all children with special needs (ABK) have access to education at their nearest school or madrasah and learn alongside other students in regular classrooms. The presence of inclusive education makes a significant contribution to achieving educational equity for all children, regardless of their diverse abilities and characteristics. This study aims to investigate the implementation of inclusive education for children with special needs at MAN 2 Klaten. The research method employed is qualitative, utilising data collection techniques that include observation, interviews, and documentation. The research approach is qualitative, employing a descriptive, exploratory, and analytical method. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of inclusive education at MAN 2 Klaten is carried out through three stages, namely: (1) planning, which includes preparation of teaching and learning activities, development of teacher work plans, internal coordination, and scheduling of learning; (2) implementation, which uses lecture and question-and-answer methods supported by auxiliary media such as books and Braille; and (3) evaluation, which is conducted orally by reading questions to students until they are understood, and in writing using Braille questions.

Abstract

Sexuality education is a process of providing information and understanding about the body, relationships, sex, gender, and reproductive health. Its purpose is not merely to inform about sex, but to help individuals make healthy, safe, and responsible decisions. This study aims to: (1) examine the implementation of sexuality education for students (santri) in Islamic boarding schools (pesantren), and (2) identify the challenges and solutions in its implementation. The research employed observation, interviews, and documentation as data collection methods. The findings reveal that sexuality education at Pondok Pesantren Al Bahroniyyah in Demak and Pondok Pesantren Al Manar in Tengaran is carried out in stages, beginning when students reach puberty (baligh). Preparatory classes are provided, including instruction in language and Islamic jurisprudence (fiqh), as well as guidance on social interaction ethics. As a solution to overcome implementation barriers, both pesantren enforce written rules that all students must follow. These rules are posted in strategic locations such as the hall, dormitory rooms, and classrooms. Any violation of these regulations results in sanctions, adjusted according to the severity of the offence.

Abstract

The Scout Movement plays a strategic role as a vehicle for character education at the junior high school level, particularly in internalizing the values of discipline, independence, and religiosity. This study examines the effectiveness of scouting activities at SMP Negeri 4 Salatiga, which combine weekly routine training and camping activities as a holistic development method for students in grades VII, VIII, and IX. The main focus of the study lies in the implementation of the "Cheerful Camp" activity held from September 30 to October 2, 2025, at the Kenteng Campground, Kopeng, with the active participation of approximately 240 students. Through an experiential learning approach in the open air, students are encouraged to develop social skills and mental resilience. The findings from this activity indicate a significant increase in aspects of discipline, sense of responsibility, solid teamwork, and deepening of students' spiritual awareness. This indicates that the Scout Movement is not just an extracurricular activity, but an educational instrument that has proven effective and relevant in shaping the profile of students with strong character, independence, and a solid religious foundation in the school environment. ABSTRAK Gerakan Pramuka memegang peranan strategis sebagai wadah pendidikan karakter di tingkat Sekolah Menengah Pertama, khususnya dalam menginternalisasi nilai kedisiplinan, kemandirian, dan religiusitas. Penelitian ini mengkaji efektivitas kegiatan kepramukaan di SMP Negeri 4 Salatiga yang mengkombinasikan latihan rutin mingguan dan aktivitas perkemahan sebagai metode pembinaan holistik bagi siswa kelas VII, VIII, dan IX. Fokus utama studi terletak pada pelaksanaan kegiatan "Kemah Gembira" yang diselenggarakan pada 30 September hingga 2 Oktober 2025 di Bumi Perkemahan Kenteng, Kopeng, dengan melibatkan partisipasi aktif sekitar 240 peserta didik. Melalui pendekatan pembelajaran berbasis pengalaman di alam terbuka, siswa didorong untuk mengembangkan keterampilan sosial dan ketahanan mental. Temuan dari kegiatan ini menunjukkan adanya peningkatan signifikan pada aspek kedisiplinan, rasa tanggung jawab, soliditas kerja sama tim, serta pendalaman kesadaran spiritual peserta didik. Hal ini mengindikasikan bahwa Gerakan Pramuka bukan sekadar aktivitas ekstrakurikuler, melainkan instrumen edukatif yang terbukti efektif dan relevan dalam membentuk profil pelajar yang berkarakter kuat, mandiri, serta memiliki landasan religius yang kokoh di lingkungan sekolah.

Abstract

The Batinku Padang Program is a worship habituation initiative implemented at SMP Negeri 4 Salatiga as a form of character strengthening, particularly in developing students’ discipline in performing religious practices. This study aims to explain the planning, implementation, and evaluation of the program in fostering students’ spiritual discipline. The method used is Participatory Action Research (PAR), which emphasizes collaboration and active participation among teachers, MBKM (Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka) Teaching Assistance students, and school stakeholders. Data were collected through observations, interviews, and analysis of student attendance records. The findings indicate that the planning of the Batinku Padang Program was carried out systematically, beginning with the formulation of objectives, the preparation of morning and noon worship schedules, and the distribution of responsibilities among teachers, students, and daily worship officers. During the implementation stage, most students participated well, although some were still late for the morning worship activities. In the evaluation stage, improvements in discipline were evident through more orderly dhuha prayer practices, high discipline during dhuhur prayer, compliance in bringing worship equipment, and improved manners during worship. Overall, the Batinku Padang Program has demonstrated a positive impact in cultivating regular worship habits and shaping students’ spiritual discipline. This study reinforces that clearly planned and well-structured worship habituation is an effective strategy for developing religious character in schools. ABSTRAK Program Batinku Padang merupakan suatu pembiasaan ibadah yang dilaksanakan di SMP Negeri 4 Salatiga sebagai bentuk penguatan karakter siswa terutama dalam hal disiplin dalam beribadah. Pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan perencanaan, pelaksanaan, dan penilaian dari program tersebut dalam membangun disiplin spiritual peserta didik. Metode yang digunakan adalah Participatory Action Research (PAR) yang menekankan kolaborasi dan partisipasi aktif antara guru, mahasiswa MBKM (Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka) Asistensi Mengjar, dan pihak sekolah. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan analisis dokumen kehadiran siswa. Hasil pengabdian menunjukkan bahwa perencanaan Program Batinku Padang dilakukan secara terstruktur, dimulai dengan penetapan tujuan, penyusunan jadwal ibadah pagi dan siang, serta pembagian tugas antara guru, siswa, dan petugas ibadah harian. Pada tahap pelaksanaan, mayoritas peserta didik berpartisipasi dengan baik, meskipun ada beberapa yang terlambat dalam ibadah pagi. Di tahap evaluasi, terlihat adanya peningkatan disiplin yang ditunjukkan dengan lebih teraturnya pelaksanaan sholat dhuha, tinggiya disiplin dalam sholat dzuhur, kepatuhan dalam membawa perlengkapan ibadah, dan peningkatan adab saat beribadah. Secara keseluruhan, Program Batinku Padang terbukti memberikan dampak positif dalam menanamkan kebiasaan ibadah yang teratur serta membentuk karakter disiplin spiritual siswa. Pengabdian ini menegaskan bahwa pembiasaan ibadah yang direncanakan dengan jelas dan teratur merupakan strategi yang efektif dalam pengembangan karakter religius di sekolah.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the role of students in the teaching assistance program in fostering Islamic spirit through Friday sermon activities at SMP Negeri 4 Salatiga. Using a qualitative descriptive approach, research data were collected through direct observation and documentation of sermon activities. The results show that students play a crucial role as planners of religious activities, sermon deliverers, and spiritual guides for students. Their participation contributes to increased religious awareness, discipline, and motivation of students in practicing Islamic teachings. In addition, the implementation of Friday sermons also strengthens the school's religious culture and helps shape Islamic character in students. For students, this activity serves as a platform for learning da'wah (Islamic preaching) and developing pedagogical skills. Overall, the teaching assistance program through Friday sermons has proven effective in bridging religious theory with practice in the school environment. ABSTRAK Pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan peran mahasiswa dalam program asistensi mengajar dalam menumbuhkan semangat keislaman melalui kegiatan khutbah Jum’at Jum’at di SMP Negeri 4 Salatiga. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif, data pengabdian dikumpulkan melalui observasi langsung dan dokumentasi kegiatan khutbah Jum’at. Hasil pengabdian memperlihatkan bahwa mahasiswa memiliki peran penting sebagai perancang kegiatan keagamaan, penyampai khutbah Jum’at, sekaligus pembimbing rohani bagi siswa. Partisipasi mereka berkontribusi pada meningkatnya kesadaran beragama, kedisiplinan, serta motivasi peserta didik dalam mengamalkan ajaran islam. Selain itu, pelaksanaan khutbah Jum’at Jum’at juga memperkuat budaya religius sekolah dan membantu membentuk karakter Islami pada diri siswa. Bagi mahasiswa, kegiatan ini menjadi wadah pembelajaran dakwah sekaligus pengembangan kemampuan pedagogis. Secara keseluruhan, program asistensi mengajar melalui khutbah Jum’at Jum’at terbukti efektif dalam menjembatani antara teori keagamaan dengan praktiknya di lingkungan sekolah.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to strengthen the implementation of extracurricular coaching in Islamic Subject and Arts (MAPSI) and the National Science Olympiad (OSN) as platforms for developing students’ potential, achievements, and religious character at SMP Negeri 4 Salatiga. The program was carried out collaboratively between supervising teachers and MBKM Teaching Assistance students from UIN Salatiga using a participatory and school-based approach. The activities included stages of coordination, coaching, mentoring, and evaluation conducted regularly every week. MAPSI coaching focused on developing students’ talents in Cerdas Cermat Islami (CCI), Tartil, Tilawah, Tahfidz, and Rebana, while OSN coaching emphasized analytical and problem-solving skills in mathematics and science through intensive practice. The results showed a significant improvement in students’ discipline, confidence, and enthusiasm for learning. Participation levels reached 95%, and several students achieved awards in city-level competitions. The collaboration between the university and the school successfully fostered an integrated model of religious character education and academic achievement development. ABSTRAK Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk memperkuat pelaksanaan pembinaan ekstrakurikuler Mata Pelajaran dan Seni Islami (MAPSI) serta Olimpiade Sains Nasional (OSN) sebagai wadah pengembangan potensi, prestasi, dan karakter religius siswa di SMP Negeri 4 Salatiga. Program ini dilaksanakan secara kolaboratif antara guru pembina dan mahasiswa MBKM Asistensi Mengajar UIN Salatiga melalui pendekatan partisipatif berbasis sekolah. Kegiatan meliputi tahap koordinasi, pembinaan, pendampingan, serta evaluasi yang dilakukan secara rutin setiap minggu. Pembinaan MAPSI berfokus pada pengembangan bakat siswa dalam bidang Cerdas Cermat Islami (CCI), Tartil, Tilawah, Tahfidz, dan Rebana, sedangkan pembinaan OSN menekankan kemampuan analisis dan pemecahan masalah siswa melalui latihan intensif di bidang Matematika dan IPA. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan yang signifikan pada kedisiplinan, kepercayaan diri, dan semangat belajar siswa. Tingkat partisipasi mencapai 95%, serta beberapa siswa berhasil meraih prestasi di ajang lomba tingkat kota. Kolaborasi antara perguruan tinggi dan sekolah ini berhasil menciptakan model pembinaan terpadu yang mampu mengembangkan prestasi akademik sekaligus karakter religius peserta didik.

Abstract

This study investigates the perceptions of English teachers regarding the implementation of the Project-Based Learning (PJBL) approach for teaching writing skills, specifically recount text, to eighth-grade students at SMP Islam Al-Azhar 18 Salatiga. Employing a descriptive qualitative research design, the study aimed to explore teachers' views on the benefits, challenges, and overall effectiveness of PJBL in the context of the English language classroom. Data were collected through observation, documentation, and in-depth interviews with two English teachers. The findings indicate that both teachers hold highly positive perceptions of the PJBL approach, acknowledging its effectiveness in enhancing students' creativity, critical thinking, and engagement, especially in developing writing skills. However, the implementation is not without significant challenges, primarily related to time management and the difficulty of sustaining student motivation in regular classes. The research suggests that while PJBL is a valuable method, its full potential may be best realized with adequate support and in learning environments with conducive student characteristics. Overall, teachers recognize PJBL's strong potential to improve students' declining writing skills due to technology dependence. ABSTRAK Penelitian ini menyelidiki persepsi guru Bahasa Inggris mengenai penerapan pendekatan Project-Based Learning (PJBL) untuk mengajarkan keterampilan menulis, khususnya teks recount, kepada siswa kelas delapan di SMP Islam Al-Azhar 18 Salatiga. Dengan menggunakan desain penelitian kualitatif deskriptif, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi pandangan guru tentang manfaat, tantangan, dan efektivitas PJBL secara keseluruhan dalam konteks kelas Bahasa Inggris. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, dokumentasi, dan wawancara mendalam dengan dua guru Bahasa Inggris. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kedua guru memiliki persepsi yang sangat positif terhadap pendekatan PJBL, mengakui efektivitasnya dalam meningkatkan kreativitas, berpikir kritis, dan keterlibatan siswa, terutama dalam mengembangkan keterampilan menulis. Namun, implementasi ini bukannya tanpa tantangan signifikan, terutama terkait manajemen waktu dan sulitnya mempertahankan motivasi siswa di kelas reguler. Penelitian ini menyarankan bahwa meskipun PJBL adalah metode yang berharga, potensi penuhnya mungkin paling baik dicapai dengan dukungan yang memadai dan di lingkungan belajar dengan karakteristik siswa yang kondusif. Secara keseluruhan, para guru mengakui potensi besar PJBL untuk meningkatkan keterampilan menulis siswa yang dilaporkan menurun akibat ketergantungan pada teknologi.
