Abstract

Nowadays, business activity in every organization will not be parted from information system (IS) and information technology (IT). STMIK XYZ is one private college that has a good business growth. In order to reach the objective of the college in its vision and mission, it needs business strategy and IS/IT strategy. The basic concept in arranging framework IS/IT strategic planning in STMIK XYZ is John Ward and Joe Peppard’s concept. The framework of IS/IT strategic planning consists of 5 steps, that are initialization preparation strategic planning of IS/IT, understanding business and information needs, defining target of IS/IT, defining strategic IS/IT, and planning and implementation. Strategic analysis uses PEST analysis method, BCG matrix analysis, five Porter power analysis, SWOT analysis, value chain analysis, CSF and KPI analysis. The research result is to make a framework of IS/IT integrated strategic planning so it could ease the management to manage resources to produce information that needed, accurate, and could be used by anybody.Keywords: planning, business strategy, IS/IT strategy, information system strategic planning, Ward & Peppard method.

Abstract

A car workshop requires an integrated information system to support business processes. The purpose of this study is to analyze the system information on the “Fast Auto” Car Workshop in order to identify the problem and to propose a new system. In analyzing and designing new systems, object-oriented methodology is applied through the collection of data based on direct observation in the field. Analysis results were used on designing the proposed information system that capable to support the operational activities of the workshop. As the result it will be a good information system and can be fully achieved the effectiveness and efficiency in the operational activities, therefore the executive can have the information that needed to make up a right decision.

Abstract

Information systems strategy is one important aspect in determining the direction and goals of an organization/ company. Well-directed strategic planning will bring positive influence on the existence of an organization in aligning with the vision planned in the early stages as well as in achieving the objectives. Ineducation, strategic planning of a higher education institution plays an important role to determine the objectives to be achieved. Nowadays, competition in education is no less intense with world trade, so it requires appropriate strategic planning of any relevant factors. In this research, data collection is done by a direct survey and questionnaires at several higher educational institutions, and supported with literature study. Based on the survey, a model is created as a solution for common problems faced by the institution. Decisions through better information systems strategy will make a positive contribution to the development and quality objectives of the institution that may increase its competitiveness.

Abstract

E-learning is a media that used in order to help learning process. This paper aims to determine the components that support Binusmaya to become one of e-learning media. It also describes the benefits that can be provided by binusmaya as a learning media. Additionally, this paper analysis the constraints that must beconsidered in implementing Binusmaya so that it can give benefit optimally. Data and information used in this paper are obtained from several books, website, journal and questionnaires related with topic. The result from this paper is expected to provide information and knowledge about binusmaya as a learning media based elearning.

Abstract

Knowledge management is not a new concept but its use in the firm still holds a very important role. This paper aims to further introduce the concept of knowledge management, which in its implementation has so many benefits that can be gained, barriers that can interfere, and things that must be considered. From thebenefits and barriers of knowledge management’s implementation, we can analyze the future of knowledge management use. To support this paper, data and information are searched through some books, journals, and articles that related with topic. The result of this paper is a comprehension about knowledge management concept and its implementation to firm.

Abstract

To increase sales, the management and sales department requires accurate, relevant and up-to-date information to support its function. Currently the amount of outstanding accounts receivables becomes one of the obstacles. So, credit limits criteria are applied as one of the effort to emphasis the outstanding receivables. Surely it will have an impact on increasing the effectiveness and efficiency of operations and ultimately will enhance the competitiveness. This research was done in three stages, data collection, analyzing the system requirements of current system to synergy with company’s target, and the results of needs analysis are developed into a new accounting information system with object-oriented approach and UML diagrams.

Abstract

Customer relationship management dapat dijadikan alat oleh perusahaan dalam mengembangkan bisnisnya agar mendapat perhatian dari customer dan pasar. Paper ini disusun berdasarkan penelitian yang menggambarkan hubungan bisnis dan pengaruh pelanggan terhadap perusahaan, serta bagaimana sebuah customer relationship management dapat membantu perusahaan dalam meraih pangsa pasar. Data dan informasi dalam studi ini didapatkan dari studi pustaka yang mengacu pada buku referensi dan jurnal yang berhubungan dengan topik yang ada. Paper ini memberi pengetahuan tentang pencapaian tujuan perusahaan yang didukung penerapan customer relationship management.

Abstract

Informasi dan pengetahuan pada saat ini sangat berharga. Dengan persaingan yang sangat tinggi, sangatlah sulit bagi perusahaan untuk menjaga pengetahuan yang dimiliki karyawan terkait dengan pengetahuan si karyawan itu sendiri dan pengetahuan tentang perusahaan. Pengetahuan setiap individu didalam organisasi atau perusahaan tentunya berbeda – beda sehingga menyebabkan pengetahuan itu tidak berkembang secara merata didalam lingkungannya. Sehingga, Knowledge Management menjadi salah satu solusi untuk membantu pengolahan pengetahuan, sehingga seorang individu didalam organisasi atau perusahaan dapat memiliki pengetahuan yang sama, kemudian dengan pengetahuan yang sama itu dapat membantu mengembangkan sebuah organisasi atau pun perusahaan. Abstract

Menjawab permintaan pasar yang dinamis, sebuah perusahaan perlu untuk menetapkan kebijakan persediaan dalam satu bulan kedepan berdasarkan perhitungan permintaan rata-rata bulanan yang lalu. Tetapi pada kenyataannya, permintaan yang tidak dapat dipenuhi akibat kekurangan stok, menyebabkan perusahaan kehilangan potensi penjualan sehingga mempengaruhi pendapatan penjualan. Karena itu, sistem persediaan yang dipakai saat ini bisa menjadi bahan pertimbangan untuk dievaluasi, dikarenakan ada beberapa metode lain yang dapat dijadikan alternatif agar sistem persediaan dapat lebih efektif dan efisien. Untuk menjawab tantangan ini, diperlukan sebuah sistem informasi berbasis metode persediaan yang mampu meningkatkan efektivitas dan efisiensi persediaan. Dalam penelitian ini, diujicobakan perhitungan dengan menggunakan metode Continuous Review dan Periodic Review, dimana hasil keluaran keduanya dibandingkan sebagai acuan pemakaian metode untuk diterapkan dalam sistem informasi perencanaan persediaan. Dengan memperhitungkan berbagai faktor, hasil dari perbandingan tersebut dijadikan basis perhitungan dan diterapkan dalam rancangan sistem informasi perencanaan persediaan. Pengembangan sistem informasi dilakukan dengan metode berorientasi objek.Kata kunci— Perencanaan, Persediaan, Continuous Review, Periodic Review
