Abstract

Soil sampling was carried out at PT. Wijaya Inti Nusantara, Torobulu Village, Laeya District, South Konawe Regency. This study used a randomized block design (RBD) consisting of 7 treatments, namely: B0D0 = without amelioran, B1DI = ameliorant of rice husk 50g/polybag, B1D2 = ameliorant of rise husk 100g/polybag, B1D3 = ameliorant of rice husk 150g/polybag, B2D1 = ameliorant of sawdust 50 g/polybag, B2D2 = ameliorant of sawdust 100 g/polybag , and B2D3 = Amelioran sawdust 150 g/polybag, each treatment was repeated 3 times and 21 research units were obtained. The results of the study on the effect of ameliorants on the growth of patchouli plants in ex-mining soil showed that the highest treatment was C-organic B2D3 3.38% (T), water content B1D3 34.5% week 4, and aggregate stability B1D1, B1D2 , B1D3 (3) Total Slanging. The effect of using ameliorant on the growth of patchouli plants in ex-mining soil has an effect on plant height and biomass variables compared to no treatment. The best results were found in the B2D3 treatment. Keywords: ameliorant, patchouli, rice husk, sawdust

Abstract

This study aims to understand the effects of biocharcoal and manure interactions on pH, CEC, C, K soils and the growth and production of red pepper plants on ultisol soils and to understand the independent effects of biocharcoal charcoal and chicken manure on pH, CEC K, C, K soils and growth and production The red chili pepper plant in the soil of the ultisol. This study used the Randomized Group Design (RDB) in factorial patterns. The first factor, Biocharanganese consists of three levels: B0 = without the addition of biocharangium B1 = 300 g polybag-1 B2 = 600 g polybag-1 The second factor is that chicken manure consists of 3 levels, namely A0= without giving chicken manure, A1=100g polybag-1, A2=200g polybag-1. Research results show that the delivery of biocharcoal and chicken manure can improve the chemical properties of pH, CEC, organic-c except available-k are available and have no effect on the growth and production of red chili peppers while for the growth and production of red chili peppers only self-supplying chicken manure has a better effect on the plant height, number of branches, number of fruit and weight at 200 g of polybag-1 (A2).Keywords: soil chemistry, charcoal biocharcoal, chicken manure, red pepper, Ultisol

Abstract

This study aims to determine some of the physical and chemical properties of the soil on different lands in Lasori village Mawasangka Timur district cental Buton District. Soil samples were analyzed at the UPT. University integrated laboratory halu oleo. This research is a descriptive study using the observation method, namely taking samples in the field and analyzing them in thelaboratory to obtion quantitative data. Point determination is carried out using a random method sampling. The land used is a corn sample point and cassava sample point. There were 6 sample units from different land to represent 1 land. The results showed that the physical and chemical properties of the soil on different land in Lasori village Mawasangka Timur District central Buton Tengah. The parameter were very high that becomes the limiting factor for physical properties is bulk density with 1,00 g/m3 – 1,36g/m3 with low – medium criteria. The soil textures are dusty loam and sandy loam. Porosity with 48.12% - 62,18%, diamond not good. While limiting the factor for chemical properties is soil pH with a value of 6,38 – 7,68, a dlighty acidic to slightly alkaline content of C-organic with a vaule of 2,27% - 5,28% moderate-high index and KTK with a value of 35,26 me/100g – 58,36 me/100g with a high – very high index. Keywords: Soil physical, corn, soil chemical, cassava.

Abstract

Nutrient status can be used as a basis for determining soil fertility, therefore appropriate land management actions can be planned. This study aims to determine the nutrient status of available P, pH and C-organic soil and appropriate management actions. The research was conducted on oil palm land in Lawonua Village, Besulutu District, Konawe Regency from May to June 2022. Soil surveys were conducted using the free grid method with a semi-detailed survey level at a map scale of 1:10,000 with an observation level of one sample for every 25 ha, where observation points have been systematically confirmed in the form of slope map units. In this study, these special characteristics have been overlaid and made in the form of a slope map. Soil sampling was conducted on each slope, namely flat slope class (0-8%), gentle slope class (8-15%), moderately steep slope class (15-25%), steep slope class (25-45%), and very steep slope class (>45%) which had previously been determined point/location based on land cover and slope. Soil samples were taken around 500 m or every 25 ha representing one sample point to be analyzed in the laboratory for P-availability, pH and soil C-Organic content. The results showed that oil palm land in Lawonua Village, Besulutu Sub-district, Konawe Regency has very high to high P-available content (17.02 -23.11 ppm), acidic to slightly acidic soil pH (4.81-5.12) and low C-organic between 1.44% to 1.87%. Appropriate management actions on oil palm land require efforts to increase phosphorus through fertilization, C-Organic through the use of organic fertilizers, and increase soil pH through liming and applying the principles of good farming practices.

Abstract

Different soil types have varying soil fertility potentials, which contribute to the crop yields obtained. The aim of this study is to analyze the characteristics of soil pH, organic carbon (C-Organic), and cation exchange capacity (CEC) and to determine appropriate management practices for corn cultivation on two different soil types in Unit Pemukiman Wuna Village, Tongkuno District. The method used in this study was a free survey method utilizing minipits for each soil type. Soil sampling was conducted using a composite method, where soil samples were taken from three points for each soil type at depths of 0–30 cm (topsoil) and 30–60 cm (subsoil). The soil from each layer was then composited, and approximately ±1 kg of soil was taken for laboratory analysis to determine its pH, Organic-C, and CEC levels. The results showed that the chemical properties of soil type 1 (Alfisol) had a lower pH than soil type 2 (Mollisol), with values of 5.02 and 5.24, respectively. Similarly, the CEC analysis indicated that soil type 1 had a lower CEC compared to soil type 2, with values of 5.16 and 5.20 me/100 g, respectively. However, in terms of soil organic carbon content, the analysis revealed that the Organic-C level in Alfisol was higher than in Mollisol, with values of 5.66% and 3.47%, respectively. Appropriate management practices for corn cultivation require efforts to increase soil pH and CEC through liming and zeolite application. Additionally, to maintain pH, C-Organic, and CEC levels, blanket herbicide application should be avoided, and excessive use of chemical fertilizers should be minimized to sustain soil health and land sustainability
