Abstract

The development of technology in this modern era affects the majority of people to use Smartphone as a medium of communication in the daily life. Smartphone becomes a necessity in life, especially when people need to find information about an event and to book tickets at Alung Production. Consumers can immediately see information and book through Smartphone without coming to the location. The information system was based on minimum Android version by using Lolipop. The programming language used in this system was Java and the MySQL database.  The method to develop this system used Waterfall with UML tools (use case diagrams, activitiy diagram, class diagramand Sequence diagrams). This information system contained the ticket booking service that facilitated consumers to register and to get the tickets about the event. There was the rating ranks to provide an assessment and comment on the information about the event. Therefore, it facilitated consumers to get information about events held by Alung Production. Keywords : Android, Java, MySQL, UML

Abstract

Searchengine is defined as web page  or website that collects  and organizes all content on the internet, here the user input a question or query, then the search engine will provide links to content that reflects what he wants. Until now, there are two problems paid attention by the experts in relation with search engines namely images in a database and the internet using text or keyword. These problems are far away from the expected. The search image by using  the text or keyword is very biased and difficult to justify because the keyword is very difficult to explain the information in an image. Content base image Retrieval is method return the image or image  retrieval  with the use of content the content contained in the picture or image, i.e. elements that can be taken from within the image that can be converted into a value such as color, shape, texture, line and other elements. Elements that are changed are contained in the image are converted in the form of value is to calculate each element and save the value into a histogram which will be used in the comparison process image and the process returns the image or image retrieval. Keywords: Search engine, content base image retrieval, flora, fauna

Abstract

The user interface is a fundamental aspect of building a website. A proper analysis of user the interface design system will have a profound impact on the actual use of a website. Many cases of website building result in minimal usability and low traffic. The purpose of this study is to analyze the user interface design of the Department of Informatics System’s website. The website mainly serves as an information portal for students in the department. It also provides features that students can access to assist them in either academic or nonacademic activities and improve the general effectiveness and quality of the department. User-centered design (UCD) method is used as the basis of the present analysis. At UCD, theprocess of user interface design engages the users to provide feedback or evaluation via a questionnaire for improving a website’s interface, accessibility, and usefulness. The analysis on the Department of Informatics System’s website shows that its interface design and usability have generally been satisfactory despite several shortcomings, which need quality improvement and further developmentKeywords: user interface, UCD, website

Abstract

The rapid progress of Android-based mobile device technology has propelled the development of various applications that add diversified functions to mobile devices. Advanced systems in Android-based applications have also been utilized in many different sectors of life, including in education, from K-12 to university. Such advanced systems will be able to effectively solve distance and time limitations. This study tries to develop an Android-based system of thesis/final project consultation service that will help us solve some issues in availability schedule between students and lecturers. It is not designed to replace conventional consultation service, but rather to serve as an additional channel that connects students and lecturers in planning the thesis/final project consultation process. The ultimate aim, therefore, is to smooth the way for consultation process and to help more students complete their theses/final projects without considerable delays. In addition, the onlineconsultation system will minimize paper consumption since it offers a paperless procedure. Keywords: Android, consultation, thesis

Abstract

one of the most important parts of a school is the students and their grades. Not infrequently, the storage and reporting of student grades is recorded and stored conventionally. Therefore, it takes a long time for the process. While the results of value processing can only be seen at the end of the semester, both by students and parents of students only in the form of report cards called report cards. Therefore, the school still has difficulties in processing grades, both daily grades and final grades, although the processing has been arranged but is still not optimal. The system that was built aims to simplify the process of assessing and absenteeism students using a web-based system. The method used, namely RUP, is one of the many processes contained in the Rational Process Library, which provides the best simulation for the development or needs of the project. The system is designed with UML diagrams and is built using the PHP programming language and The Mysql database. The results of the research are mobile web-based applications built online by producing features such as data processing of teachers, students, curriculum, courses, materials, assessments, attendance and report recaps. Based on the grades processed by the teacher, they can then produce reports in the form of assessment reports based on materials and reports on overall student progress that can be accessed online by parents. Keywords— Design, Information System, E-Reporting, School.
