Abstract

E-Learning merupakan metode pembelajaran jarak jauh antara pengajar dan pelajar yang menggunakan media elektronik dan teknologi informasi internet. Proses belajar mengajar memiliki sejumlah tujuan yang ingin dicapai yaitu meningkatkan kemampuan, pengetahuan dan keahlian para siswa. Dalam proses tersebut dibutuhkan evaluasi pembelajaran yang baik agar dapat diketahui hasil yang diperoleh siswa selama belajar. Berdasarkan tujuan-tujuan inilah, semua kegiatan dirancang untuk memfasilitasi peserta didik dalam memperoleh pengetahuan dan keahlian. Implementasi kegiatan tersebut dapat dilakukan dengan membangun sebuah sistem e-learning yang dapat digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran para siswa.Metode pengembangan sistem yang digunakan dalam pembuatan website e-learning ini adalah model Waterfall. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan metode observasi dan studi pustaka sedangkan implementasi dari model waterfall ini dijelaskan melalui análisis sistem, DFD, struktur tabel database, dan rancangan input output. Untuk merancang dan membuat website e-learning ini, penulis menggunakan Macromedia Dreamweaver 8, bahasa pemrograman PHP, database MYSQL, dan web server Xampp.

Abstract

Penelitian ini merancang sistem e-learning yang mampu mengidentifikasi gaya belajar ( learning style) masing-masing mahasiswa. Gaya belajar merupakan cara pelajar untuk belajar dengan bahan ajar atau lingkungan yang mereka inginkan. Proses pengidentifikasian ini dimulai dari proses menjawab kuisioner,sedangkan kuisioner yang digunakan merupakan kuisioner yang dimiliki oleh VARK (Visual, Audio, Read dan Kinestik). Setelah menjawab kuisioner maka mahasiswa akan memperoleh gaya belajar sesuai dengan ketentuan VARK. Kemudian pelajar akan mendapat rekomendasi learning objek berdasarkan hasil kuisioner yaitu dapat berupa materi visual, audio, read dan kinestik. Diharapkan dengan melakukan pembelajaran yang sesuai dengan gaya belajar yang telah di identifikasikan akan mempermudah pelajar dalam memahami materi dan mengoptimalkan proses pembelajaran secara online

Abstract

As the rising up crimes including teror in our society due to politics issues, economy, poverty, religion and ethnic conflicts. Many ways and techniques have been tried to crack down those crimes but unfortunately the efforts to seize person or group of criminal suspected is far from our expectation. Face recognition is one of techniques introduced by many researchers for the last decades with many methods and approaches they tried to recognize a person based on his or his faces. Some of the methods such as face recognition with Query by Example (QBE) using shape, colour, and texture to match a query face with face in the database; however the result is not good enough to recognize the faces. One of the problems of face recognition by QBE is sometime we do not have a picture or face image to make QBE. In order to sort it out the problem, in this research we will try to introduce of face recognition method by generating a face image by a face sketch. Many sketch based face recognition was introduced by some researchers and experts, but most of their methods have been applied directly inputting a sketch into database which is very costly and involved a complex algorithm. In addition to the research, we are applying our method proposed into compressed face images, as the compressed images will save storage and simplifier the algorithm.

Abstract

Skin disease is a common disease whether in urban orrural area. Various types are listed in this category. Someof them are easily transmitted and turn into epidemic. Tohelp the health department or other parties to map thespread of the diseases as well as to broadcast theinformation easily to the citizen, thus it is important todevelop a system that able to provide data based ongograpfical. Furthermore, the data should be easily to beaccesed.To enable related parties to be able to collect,store, and analyze the spread of skin disease particularlyin Lampung Province Indonesia, a geographicalinformation system has been developed. In addition, thissystem acts as a monitoring tool for Government orAgencies that responsible for the health issues inLampung and Indonesia.KEY WORDS: geographic information system, skindiseases spread, Lampung Province.

Abstract

Maraknya penggunaan ponsel untuk berkirim SMS, maka kemudian muncul gagasan untuk membuatlayanan informasi berbasis SMS. Dalam waktu singkat beberapa jenis layanan yang berbasis SMSbermunculan. Berbagai informasi akademik dapat diakses kapan dan dimana saja oleh segenap mahasiswadengan menggunakan ponsel, bahkan untuk kegiatan akademik tertentu dapat dilakukan tanpa kehadiranmahasiswa di kampus. Penelitian ini memanfaatkan SMS Gateway Mobile Switching Center (SMS-GMSC)adalah sebuah aplikasi MSC yang mampu menerima pesan singkat dari SMSC, menginterogasi home locationregister (HLR) untuk informasi routing, dan mengirimkan pesan pendek tersebut ke MSC dari piranti bergerakyang dituju.Aplikasi berbasis SMS diharapkan selain dapat mengatasi masalah-masalah yang dihadapi dalam prosesakademik, juga dapat lebih meningkatkan keefektifan, keakuratan, dan kecepatan proses kegiatan akademik danproses pembelajaran. Penggunaan aplikasi berbasis SMS dan ponsel memberikan alternatif dan kemudahanbagi segenap mahasiswa dalam mengakses informasi akademik.Kata Kunci: SMS, akademik.

Abstract

Wireless LANs offer many advantages in its utilization. Flexibility, mobility, and can be implemented by individuals or industries, are a little example from that. Since the security standards SSID, WEP and MAC address filtering that implemented in 802.11 known has vulnerabilities, security is become the major weakness of wireless LANs. Masquerading, man-in-the middle attack, and denial of service are examples of attack which can happen in wireless LANs. New security standards are now under development and will be implemented in the new wireless LANs 802.11i, namely TKIP and AES. Booth these new standards are expected to cover the security hole. This report analysing various attacks in wireless LANs which are caused by the vulnerabilities of security features, and the possibility of countermeasures from the attacks.Keywords: wireless LANs, security, WEP, MAC address, authentication, attack, TKIP, AES.
