Abstract

Chitosan has been made from the crab shells with a chemical method with 1M HCl demineralization for 1 hour, deproteination 1M NaOH for 2 hours and variations of deacetylation 30% NaOH, 40%, 50%, 60%, and 70% for 45 minutes. An analytical methode from FTIR showed that the best chitosan deacetylation degree obtained at 50% NaOH, and the best reaction time to get the best Chitosan is 30 minutes.Chitosan product from crab shells is a real chitosan agreed with database Match! program. Chitosan is known best Pb adsorption from Pb(NO3)2 solution with concentrations of 10, 50, and 100 ppm acid dilution and neutral dilution of 25, 50, and 100 ppm for 30 minutes and tested variations chitosan residual liquid. Chitosan absorbed around 10 ppm Pb acid dilution and 25 ppm neutral dilution. No adsorption at 50 and 100 ppmPb in acid dilution. Absorption of 44.77 ppm at 50 ppm and 97.04 ppm to 100 ppm.Keywords: Chitosan,Adsorption, Pb

Abstract

Rubus spp. (wild raspberries) is one of genera belongs to Rosaceae, also distributed in the mountain forest of Indonesia. It has a high potency to be cultivated plant. Although, some of the potential of Rubus has already known, information of about fruit nutrients of species that distribute in the mountain forest of Indonesia are not known yet. This study was aimed to determine the fruit nutrients of five species of wild raspberries that was collected in Cibodas Botanical Garden. The results of our experiments demonstrate that the fruits nutrients contents varied among five species of wild raspberries from Indonesian mountain's forests. Rubus fraxinifolius has the highest content of sugar (5.05 g sugar per 100 g fruits) compared to Rubus rosifolius, Rubus chrysophyllus, Rubus lineatus and raspberry. During the ripening and ripe period, there were a different value of vitamin C and iron contents. The highest vitamin C of R. fraxinifolius (83.65 mg/100 gram) on the ripening fruit stage II. On the other hand, the highest vitamin C of R. rosifolius (54.30 mg/100 gram) found on the stage of ripe fruit.

Abstract

Zeolite Socony Mobile-5 atau ZSM-5 merupakan material kristalin aluminosilikat dengan struktur pori 3 dimensi. ZSM-5 banyak dimanfaatkan sebagai katalis heterogen dalam industri untuk beberapa reaksi penting seperti perengkahan, alkilasi, asilasi, isomerisasi, dan lainnya. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mensintesis ZSM-5 dengan metode tanpa pelarut dan OSDA dengan memanfaatkan limbah ampas tebu sehingga diharapkan menjadi sintesis berkelanjutan yang ramah lingkungan. ZSM-5 umumnya disintesis dengan menggunakan metode hidrotermal dengan penambahan suatu Organic Structure Directing Agent (OSDA) berupa senyawa organik yang berperan sebagai pengarah struktur atau “template” dalam pembentukan ZSM-5. Namun ada beberapa kekurangan baik dalam segi ekonomi maupun lingkungan karena harga OSDA yang digunakan mahal, yield yang dihasilkan sedikit, timbulnya tekanan autogeneous dari pelarut, konsumsi energi yang tinggi, serta menghasilkan limbah gas dan cair yang berbahaya bagi lingkungan. Pada penelitian ini ZSM-5 disintesis dengan metode yang lebih ramah lingkungan dan berkelanjutan. Pendekatan melalui sintesis yang ramah lingkungan dapat dilakukan dengan menggunakan sumber silika dari bahan alam. Limbah ampas tebu diketahui memiliki kandungan silika sebesar 70%. Berdasarkan potensi tersebut, urgensi penelitian ini adalah perlu dilakukan penelitian tentang pemanfaatan limbah ampas tebu sebagai sumber silika untuk mensintesis ZSM-5 dengan kondisi bebas pelarut dan OSDA. Komponen silika limbah ampas tebu diekstrak melalui perlakuan basa-asam. Untuk mempercepat proses, benih ditambahkan ke dalam prekursor. Kristalisasi ZSM-5 dilakukan pada suhu 160°C. Selanjutnya tahap akhir pada penelitian ini dilakukan dengan karakterisasi XRD dan FT-IR. Hasil yang diperoleh pada penelitian ini adalah didapatkan ZSM-5 dengan waktu optimum 18 jam. Kata kunci : Limbah ampas tebu; ZSM-5; tanpa pelarut; tanpa OSDA

Abstract

Nutritional problems in the coastal area of ​​the Masaloka Raya Health Center are very high, the prevalence of stunting is 27.7% wasting 19%. 0.4% overweight and 34.9% underweight. The food management system for fishermen's families also plays a role in determining the nutritional problems of coastal communities, especially in the aspects of purchasing, cooking and distributing food. The purpose of this study was to determine the food management system by mothers in fishing families in the Masaloka Raya Islands, Bombana Regency. This type of research is descriptive, cross-sectional study approach. This research was conducted in Masaloka Raya Village in August 2024. The population was all toddlers in the Masaloka Health Center area, which was 84 people and the sample was some toddlers as many as 34 people who were taken using the simple random sampling technique. Data were collected using a valid and reliable questionnaire and analyzed descriptively. The results of the study found that the food purchasing system in fishing families was mostly in the sufficient category (91.2%), the rest was lacking (8.8%). The cooking system was mostly lacking (52.9%) and the rest (47.1%). The food distribution system was 100% sufficient. The conclusion of this study is that the food purchasing and distribution system is in the good category while the cooking system is mostly lacking. Suggestions for fishing families are to buy local vegetables and fruits so that nutritional needs are met in a balanced way and not to use food flavor enhancers such as royko or Masako. For Masaloka Raya Village to provide education related to balanced nutrition and for further researchers, to statistically analyze the causes of the lack of food cooking systems for fishing families in the coastal areas of the Masaloka Islands.
