Abstract

This study aims to develop Augmented Reality integrated handouts to strengthen the independent character of junior high school students on the material of the relics of Hindu-Buddhist kingdoms in Indonesia. The research used the Research and Development method with the 4D development model (Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate) carried out at SMPN 1 and SMPN 2 Mojowarno, Jombang Regency. The research instruments included material and media expert validation sheets, student response questionnaires for practicality testing, observation sheets and independent character questionnaires to measure product effectiveness. Data were analyzed using quantitative descriptive techniques for validity and practicality with score interpretation criteria, while the effectiveness of strengthening independent character was analyzed using the N-gain test comparing the results of initial and final measurements in the experimental class. The validation results by material experts, media experts, and practitioners showed that the product validity level reached 94.5% which was included in the very valid category. The practicality test obtained a score of 97% in the initial test and 98% in the large-scale implementation of 60 students, both in the very practical category. Measurement of independent character showed a significant increase in both experimental classes with N-gain values reaching 0.92 and 0.90 which were categorized as very independent. This study proves that the Augmented Reality integrated handout effectively strengthens students' independent character while improving understanding of the material of the relics of Hindu-Buddhist kingdoms. This learning media offers an innovative solution that is aligned with the objectives of the Merdeka Curriculum and the Pancasila Student Profile, especially in fostering student independence through the use of digital technology.

Abstract

Education provides space for humans to improve resources to face the challenges of scientific and technological advances in today's globalization. Ideal education is not only limited to cognitive aspects but also spiritual, moral and social aspects so as to prevent character degradation in the younger generation. These aspects are listed in the humanization pillar of prophetic education which refers to efforts to make education a vehicle in fostering a balanced personality, in accordance with prophetic teachings that prioritize values, norms, spirituality, justice and concern for others. Research conducted with a qualitative approach to this literature aims to explore the concept of prophetic education humanization pillars in social studies learning. Social studies learning as part of the education curriculum offers a great opportunity to apply the concept of humanization of prophetic education. Through social studies learning, students not only learn about the structure of society and social interaction, but also understand the human values advocated by prophetic teachings. By applying this concept in social studies learning, it is hoped that educators can help students internalize the moral and ethical values needed to become citizens who contribute positively to society.

Abstract

This study examines the effect of Jaran Dor Dance practice on improving the confidence of students in grades IV-VI SDN 1 Tunggorono. Using an experimental approach with a pre-experimental one-group pretest-posttest design, this study involved 30 students who were selected through purposive sampling techniques. Data were collected using a confidence scale in Likert format and supported by observation and documentation. The Jaran Dor Dance intervention is carried out in a structured manner, paying attention to the characteristics of the development of elementary school students and the potential of local cultural arts as a medium for individual capacity development. The results of the analysis showed a significant increase in self-confidence (t = -42.419, p < 0.001) with an average increase of 13.93 points. Observational data revealed that students progressively demonstrated increased willingness to perform in front of peers, showed more active participation in group discussions, and exhibited greater initiative in leading dance movements by the final sessions. These findings indicate that Jaran Dor Dance is effective in increasing students' confidence through culturally meaningful learning experiences.

Abstract

Abstract

This study examines the accounting practices of the Vereenigde Oostindische Compagnie (VOC) in Palembang during the Palembang Sultanate, which not only represented economic activities but also functioned as a tool of colonial power. Trade activities at that time involved relationships between regions, kingdoms, sultanates, and foreign countries. The VOC, as the representative of the Dutch, conducted accounting records in trade activities in Palembang. This study aims to reveal how VOC accounting practices became part of the economic and political domination strategy over the Palembang Sultanate. The study employs Social Construction Theory and Conventional Accounting Theory. The method used is qualitative with a heuristic approach to 18th-century VOC archives. Data was collected through document studies, archives, photographs, and manuscripts obtained from the National Archives of the Republic of Indonesia and private collections. The findings reveal that VOC accounting practices were not neutral activities but were used to control commodity flows, set prices, and negotiate local power. These practices reflect efforts to strengthen colonial hegemony through accounting instruments. The findings of this study confirm that VOC economic record-keeping during the Palembang Sultanate was an important part of colonial economic and political strategy. Additionally, this research contributes to colonial history studies by demonstrating that trade archives are not merely sources of economic data but are also rich in ideological and power-related meanings.
