Abstract

Introduction: Hypertension is often referred to as the “silent killer” and based on the 2013 Basic Health Research data, hypertension sufferers in Indonesia at the age of >18 years reached 25.8%, while the undiagnosed reached 63.2%. Research results have shown that most people have sleep disorders, resulting in the recurrence of hypertension. This research aimed to find a relationship between sleep quality and medication compliance for hypertensive patients at Private Hospital, Yogyakarta. Method: This research used a descriptive quantitative research method with a cross-sectional approach. A total of 40 hypertensive patients were taken as the research samples using an accidental sampling technique. Sleep quality was measured using the PSQI (Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index) instrument, and compliance with medication was measured using Morisky-8. Result: Findings show that 87.5% of respondents experienced poor sleep quality, while the remaining 12.5% had good sleep quality. Regarding medication compliance, 87.5% of respondents complied with medication, while 32.5% did not. Chi square analysis showed that there was no significant relationship between sleep quality and medication adherence (p=0.523). Conclusion: there is no relationship between sleep quality and medication compliance in hypertensive patients. Based on the results of this research, future researchers are expected to take more samples, random sampling method and examine the effect of medication compliance on quality of life

Abstract

Nutrition issues, particularly stunting, have become the focus of global attention due to their serious impact on children's health and development. Stunting, or chronic growth impairment, can have long-term consequences on children's physical and mental health, and even affect the productivity and well-being of society as a whole. In the midst of this complex challenge, the role of mothers as the primary caregiver and decision-maker when it comes to family diets is crucial. Therefore, it is important to evaluate and understand the effect of nutrition education on mothers' knowledge of stunting, in the hope of providing deeper insights to support stunting prevention efforts. This study aims to explore the effect of nutrition education on mothers' knowledge about stunting. This study employs a scoping review method with a systematic approach.

Abstract

ABSTRACT In the digital age, telemedicine has emerged as a promising approach to healthcare delivery, particularly for high-risk pregnant women who require regular monitoring and consultation. The shift from traditional face-to-face consultations to telemedicine consultations requires evaluation of its effectiveness and impact on maternal health. The aim of this systematic review was to compare the effectiveness and impact of telemedicine consultation with face-to-face consultation on the health of high-risk pregnant women. This comparison includes aspects such as patient satisfaction, quality of service, health outcomes, and implementation barriers. A systematic review was conducted using databases including PubMed, Sage Journal, Science Direct, Wiley, and Cochrane. The search was limited to articles published in the last five years (2019-2024). Additional references were identified through manual searches. Studies were selected based on predefined inclusion criteria with a focus on high-risk pregnant women and comparison of telemedicine and face-to-face consultations. The review included studies that provided data on patient satisfaction, quality of care, health outcomes, and implementation barriers. Telemedical consultations are generally well received by patients as they offer convenience and flexibility. However, challenges such as technological barriers, internet connectivity issues, and the need for emotional support were also noted. In terms of health outcomes, telemedicine proved to be as effective as face-to-face consultations for most measures, although some aspects of the service, particularly those that require direct physical assessment, are still a challenge. Telemedical consultations offer a viable alternative to face-to-face consultations for high-risk pregnant women, providing comparable quality of care and patient satisfaction. However, successful implementation of telemedicine requires addressing technological and emotional support challenges. Further studies with larger sample sizes and longer follow-up periods are needed to understand the long-term impact of telemedicine on maternal health. Keywords: Telemedicine, Face-to-face consultation, High-Risk Pregnant Women, Digital era
