Abstract

Physical assessment is one competency that students must achieve during clinical rotation. Lack of understanding or inability to perform physical examinations will affect achievement data from patients that influences nursing diagnoses. This is challenging for clinical instructors and faculty to assist students to perform well on physical examination. Objective this paper is to preparing student’s nurses able to practice on physical assessment using video. Method this research descriptive quantitative, sample in project was 30 second-year students nurses who enrolled in medical surgical nursing course. Result this research were according to achievement grade among 30 students on practical physical assessment respiratory system there are 26 (86.6%) got A; four students (13.4%) got B, on respiratory examinations. On Practical Physical assessment cardiovascular system the students’ grades are 80% got A, 20% got B. There weren’t students who get C.

Abstract

Purpose: To provide nursing students knowledge of pain prior, during, and post- surgery, recovery and rehabilitation. Methods: Review articles published during 2005 until 2012 that focused on pain assessment and pain management. The databases used in this study were Medline and CINAHL.Results: Postoperative pains need special approach and care. It needs teach patient how to adapt pain, control pain, monitor result of treatment. Conclusion: Nursing students need to learn how to assess pain using appropriate tools for each age level and in patients with special needs. The students also need to learn about pain management including pharmacology and non-pharmacology means and consider pain as the fifth vital sign. As student nurses learn pain assessment, they should be considerate about culture, and different languages that might happen during practical rotations.

Abstract

Tujuan: Tujuan Penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui gambaran soft skill yang dibutuhkan oleh unit pelayanan kesehatan. Metode: Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif berupa  survey, dengan populasi adalah pimpinan rumah sakit seluruh Indonesia berdasarkan data depkes tahun 2009 berjumlah 1114. Sampel diambil dengan cara quota sampling, setiap provinsi diambil 30% dari jumlah rumah sakit yang ada dengan katagori rumah sakit pemerintah, rumah sakit swasta serta rumah sakit khusus (rumah sakit jiwa, rumah sakit bersalin, rumah sakit mata). Selanjutnya dilanjutkan dengan simple random sampling didapatkan jumlah sampel 334 rumah sakit dengan total sampel 50. Hasil: Hasil penelitian ini mengidentifikasikan bahwa soft skills yang dibutuhkan oleh pimpinan rumah sakit dalam konteks kemampuan komunikasi adalah kemampuan menyampaikan informasi dengan jelas. Soft skills yang dibutuhkan dalam konteks sikap yaitu kejujuran, loyalitas dan pengetahuan bidang keperawatan. Soft skills yang dibutuhkan dalam konteks ketrampilan adalah bisa menjamin keselamatan pasien, kemampuan mengidentifikasi masalah dan kemampuan merencanakan pekerjaan dengan baik. Simpulan: Penelitian ini memberikan informasi bagi institusi pendidikan keperawatan dalam menyiapkan soft skillslulusannya dengan meningkatkan kemampuan memberikan informasi, menumbuhkembangkan sikap jujur, loyal dan kompeten juga terampil dalam keselamatan pasien, mengidentifikasi masalah dan merencanakan pekerjaan dengan baik. Kata Kunci: soft skills, pelayanan kesehatan

Abstract

ABSTRACTBackground: Hypertension is called the silent killer because it often  has no warning sign and sympthom and many people do not know they have it. Hypertension are increasing and 54% have uncontrolled blood pressure even 63,2% are undiagnosed. Based on interviews with patients in the Pundong Health Center, data was obtained that they did not realize that their blood pressure was high if there were no complaints. Even hypertension has been diagnosed, they are not routine control and there is no attempt to control blood pressure. Objective: to determine the quality of life of patients with hypertension at Pundong Health Center. Methods: quantitative research with a cross-sectional study. Samples were taken randomly,  total of 70 people. Instrument uses WHOQoL-BREF. Analysis of data with percentages. Results: The quality of life of patients with hypertension in physical health domains was moderate 78.6%, good 18.6% and bad 2.9%. The domain of psychological well-being was moderate 81.4%, bad 15.7% and good 2.9%. The social relations domain was good 47.1% and moderate 45.7%, very bad 5.7% and bad 1.4%. The environmental domain was 70% moderate, 25.7% good and 4.3% bad.Conclusion: The quality of life of patients with hypertension are moderate quality of life, but there are still some sufferers who have a bad quality of life of 2.9-15.7% in the domain of physical health, psychological well-being, social and environmental relations.

Abstract

AbstractJahe memiliki nama ilmiah Zingiber offcinale. Jahe merah adalah tanaman obat yang mudah tumbuh di berbagai kondisi. Jahe memiliki kandungan gingerol yang dapat meningkatkan fungsi otak, mengatasi alzheimer, mengatasi infeksi, antiinflamasi dan antioksidan. Sebagian besar masyarakat Desa Garongan mencari penghasilan dengan menanam salak dan melihara ikan. Namun, pada saat ini terutama pada masa pendemi covid-19, mereka mengalami kondisi sulit panen salak. Hampir satu tahun mereka tidak berhasil panen karena banyak kena hama. Mereka memiliki lahan yang cukup untuk menanam jahe. Wanita-wanita Pemberdayaan Kesejahteraan Keluarga  di Desa Garongan mengolah jahe menjadi minuman kesehatan yang dinamai JAMEGA. Produk jahe tersebut dapat dipasarkan karena Desa Garongan merupakan desa wisata. Berat setiap kemasan produk jahe  adalah 100 gram. Pemasaran telah dilakukan melalui media sosial dan kalangan keluarga. Strategi pemasaran mempertimbangkan pemilihan pasar, perencanaan produk, penerapan harga, sistem distribusi dan komunikasi pemasaran. Dari hasil pemasaran selama dua minggu, mereka telah memiliki saldo sebesar Rp 762.000 dari hasil 1 kelompok yang telah aktif memproduksi. Mereka menyatakan bahwa mereka puas dan bahagia karena produk mereka laku. Mereka juga telah mengolah produk lain seperti kunyit asam, jahe ditambah wedag uwuh yang diolah menggunakan gula merah. Produk tersebut dikirim  ke wilayah Sumatera Selatan, Bali, Jakarta dan Bandung. Kata kunci: jahe ,olahan jahe, pemasaran  Ginger has the scientific name Zingiber officinale. Red ginger is a medicinal plant that grows readily in various conditions. Ginger contains gingerol which can increase brain function, treat Alzheimer's, fight infections, anti-inflammatory, and antioxidants. Most of the people in the Garongan Village earn money by planting snake fruit and raising fish. However, at this time, especially during the Covid-19’ pandemic, they were experiencing difficult conditions for harvesting snake fruits. They haven’t had a good harvest in almost a year because of pests. They have enough land to grow ginger plants. The women of the Empowerment of Family Welfare in Garongan Village process ginger into a health drink called JAMEGA. This ginger product can be marketed because Garongan Village is a tourist village. The weight of each ginger product package is 100 grams. Marketing has been carried out through social media and among families. Marketing strategy considered market selection, product planning, pricing, distribution systems, and marketing communications. From the marketing results for two weeks, they already have a balance of Rp. 762,000 from the results of one group that had been actively producing. They stated that they are satisfied and happy that their product is sold. They have also processed other products such as tamarind turmeric, ginger plus wedang uwuh which are processed using brown sugar. These products are sent to the regions of South Sumatra, Bali, Jakarta, and Bandung.  Keyword : Ginger, ginger product, marketing

Abstract

Pendahuluan: Urolithiasis merupakan batu saluran kemih yang terjadi akibat endapan urin. Hal ini dipengaruhi faktor intrinsik (umur, jenis kelamin, genetika) dan faktor ekstrinsik (letak geografis, iklim dan musim, asupan air, diet, pekerjaan, obat-obatan). Tujuan: Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi kejadian urolithiasis di ruang rawat inap dan poli spesialis RS di Semarang. Metode: Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif korelatif dengan  pendekatan cross sectional. Sampel pada penelitian ini berjumlah 32 responden yang diambil menggunakan teknik accidental sampling. Hasil: Hasil penelitian yang diuji menggunakan uji fisher tidak terdapat korelasi antara jenis kelamin dengan urolithiasis dengan hasil p value 0.210, terdapat korelasi antara intake cairan dengan urolithiasis p value 0.006, terdapat korelasi antara lama duduk dengan urolithiasis p value 0.024, terdapat korelasi antar asam urat dengan urolithiasis p value 0.004, sedangkan menggunakan uji kolmogorovo smirnove untuk faktor  umur dengan hasil p value 1.000 yang berarti tidak terdapat korelasi antara umur dengan urolithiasis. Simpulan: Simpulan dari penelitian faktor intake cairan, lama duduk, dan kadar asam urat menjadi faktor kejadian urolithiasis.

Abstract

Background: Foods low in calories, low in fat, high in protein and fiber can be an option for treating obesity. Soy protein is high quality and low fat, while glucomannan is a fiber with low energy density. In this research, artificial meat based on soybeans and glucomannan was developed with low calories and fat but high protein and fiber for obesity intervention. Objectives: This research aims to develop soybean and glucomannan-based meat analogue for obesity interventions and determine the physical and sensory characteristics of soy and glucomannan-based meat analogue. Methods: This study was an experimental study with a completely randomized design, four treatment proportions (%) of soybean protein isolate-glucomannan (30:0, 29:1, 27:3, and 25:5) and three treatment replications. The data collected included physical test data (water holding capacity and cooking loss), and sensory test data (appearance, texture, aftertaste, and preferences). According to the data category, physical test data were analyzed using Variance Analysis or Kruskal Wallis. Sensory test data were analyzed using analysis of variance followed by the post hoc Duncan Multiple Range Test. Results: The proportion of soy protein isolate-glucomannan did not affect the water binding capacity and cooking loss. The water binding capacity ranges from 12.44 to 34.61%, and the cooking loss ranges from 2.17 to 4.44%. The sensory score for the appearance, taste, and texture was neither resembling (score 2) nor somewhat resembling (score 3) chicken meat. The proportion of soy protein isolate-glucomannan influences the appearance and texture but does not influence the taste, aftertaste, and level of liking. The aftertaste scores are strong and moderate. The liking score was between dislike and somewhat like. Conclusions: Meat analogue for obesity intervention can be developed using soybeans and glucomannan. The cooking loss and water-holding capacity of artificial meat are proper, while the sensory characteristics of meat analogue do not yet resemble real meat.
