Abstract

This research aimed to design a strategy to develop character learning mathematics students that were based on the values of Islam. This study were in the frame of research and development method using qualitative approach. Subject of this research was the first year of undergraduate students of mathematics education department who took basic mathematics courses. Mathematics learning strategies in developing th character were designed in three stages to develop students character. The first stage was the inculcation. At this stage, lecturer facilitated students with activities that were able to raise awareness of the value of the character in learning. The second stage was Implementation where the lecturers facilitated student learning activities that fostered character value. Activities fostered values characters implicitly include group discussion, problems solving, seeking information from various sources, preparations reports, and presentations. The final stage was reflection, where the lecturer together with students did reflection on themselves and on the values of the characters that had not been well grown in learning. The results of interview with students suggest that the use of learning strategies has a positive impact on student character development.

Abstract

Kegiatan menyimak yang merupakan proses interaktif harus disampaikandalam pembelajaran sebagai sebuah proses interaktifuntuk meningkatkan motivasi mahasiswa. Pada umumnya, pelajaranlistening di perguruan tinggi sangat bergantung pada kegiatan yangmonoton. Masalah serupa muncul di mata kuliah Listening I padaprodi Tadris Inggris Jurusan Tarbiyah STAIN Ponorogo. Oleh karenaitu, penelitian berkaitan dengan strategi pengajaran yang memotivasiyang dapat meningkatkan kemampuan menyimak mahasiswa. Strategiyang diusulkan di sini termasuk penggunaan (STAD) dengan menggunakanmedia podcast. Untuk memecahkan permasalahan diatasmaka peneliti menggunakan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yangdisajikandalam 2 (dua) siklus. Dalam setiap siklusnya melaluialur PTK yang terdiri dari 4 (empat) tahap, yaitu perencanaan,pelaksanaan, observasi dan refleksi. Dari hasil penelitian ini dapat disimpulkanbahwa penggunaan podcast dalam strategi (STAD) dapatmeningkatkan: (1) partisipasi mahasiswa dalam diskusi kelompok,(2) prestasi belajar dan (3) respon positif.

Abstract

Facing the business challenges of MEA Era is a challenge that should be faced by us, as an Educator I feel compelled to be able to participate in the success of my students, to face the challenge. The purpose of this study is not only for the Financial Statements of Bazaar, but also seek emphasis on the experience of an entrepreneurial process because through the Bazaar students are required to interact with people, how to offer well and politely to consumers, convince consumers to buy the products they offer and give explanation and the best service for consumers to be satisfied. Based on the result of observations which are conducted by the researcher as many as 15 times, SWOT observation analysis is with an average amount of 65.5% in GOOD Category. The results of financial statements analysis each group to see three important elements are: Elements Report L /R with the percentage of 56.09% High category, Elements of Capital Changes with the percentage of 78.05% Very High category, and Element Balance with the percentage of Current Assets 63.67%, High category, Fixed Assets 14.38% Low category and Liability 78.05% Very High category. This bazaar activity is very useful for students to gain experience and learning to become entrepreneurs. This activity is a very useful activity for students especially students of Accounting Education Studies Program FKIP University PGRI Palembang. By doing this activity, the students are expected to know how to offer and market a product that they make themselves well, and students can know more how to interact well and politely with consumers or customers.

Abstract

This study aims to determine whether there is an effect of using learning strategies to improve thinking skills on student learning outcomes at SMK Setia Darma Palembang by using experimental methods and the treatment design used in this study is Quasi Experimental Design. The population in this study were students of class XI Accounting at SMK Setia Darma Palembang, from 103 students 70 students were taken to be used as research samples. Data collection techniques are documentation, observation and tests. The effect of using learning strategies to increase thinking skills on learning outcomes in the subjects of creative products and entrepreneurship at SMK Setia Darma Palembang contributed 52.11% and the remaining 47.89% was influenced by other factors. From the results of data analysis, the average value of student learning outcomes in the experimental class was 83.42%, while the average value of learning outcomes obtained by the control class was 68.85%. This shows that there is an effect of using learning strategies to increase thinking skills on student learning outcomes at SMK Setia Darma Palembang.

Abstract

In this study, the problems found in the field are that the teaching and learning process is not optimal because students experience a form of learning difficulties related to characteristic, personality and study habits or students who excel below their ability level (wordwaall game). By applying synectic learning media, it is expected to overcome or at least direct adjustments to the problems faced by students. This study aims to determine the learning interest of grade XI IPS 1 students in economic growth and development at SMA Negeri 2 Sanga Desa. The method used in this study is the experimental method. Based on the results of the study, the results of the student wordwall game test showed that the average student who experienced it was 85.66% in the experimental class. In the synectic model category, the average student activity is 46.66% and in the experimental class learning outcomes students have an average Student activeness is 46.66%. The overall increase that occurred in students after applying wordwall game media synectic learning in the experimental class had an average of 85.66% or in the creteria "Improving / influential". In the results of the hypothesis carried out by researchers using a simple regression formula, this study there is an influence of wordwall games on the interest of high school students in economics subjects at SMA Negeri 2 Sanga Desa on the material of economic growth and development obtained t_(count =) 7.277>t_(table=)1.697 which means Ha is accepted while Ho is rejected. This study has an influence on other factors. Thus, this study shows that there is an influence of wordwall games on high school students' interest in economics subjects at SMA Negeri 2 Sanga Desa.
