Abstract

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of K3 (Occupational Safety and Health) and work discipline simultaneously or partially on the performance of sub-contractor workers in the BRI Malang Regional Office Building project. This type of research is explanatory re-search known as testing the hypothesis to determine the effect of the independent varia-bles, namely K3 (Occupational Safety and Health) (X1) and Work Discipline (X2) on the dependent variable Performance (Y) which use a quantitative approach. This study used a sample of 50 respondents. The hypothesis test in this study used multiple linear regression analysis. The study results explained that K3 (Occupational Safety and Health) and work discipline had a simultaneous effect on worker performance, K3 (Occupational Health and Safety) did not affect performance, and work discipline had a positive impact on perfor-mance. Suggestions from this research are PT. Adhi Karya (Persero) Tbk. The Department of Building is supposed to be able to maintain or even improve the implementation and supervision of K3 (Occupational Health and Safety) and the discipline of the workers to produce a better performance on the PT. Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of situational leadership style, workload, and work motivation on employee performance at Utama Baja company. This research is explanatory research with a population of 42 people and a sample of 42 people through the total sampling technique. The data analysis tools used are multiple linear regression analysis, instrument test through validizty and reliability test, classical assumption test through normality test, multicollinearity test, linearity test, heteroscedasticity test, and hypothesis testing through t-test, F test, and coefficient of determination test. The results of multiple linear regression analysis show that the variables of situational leadership style, workload, and work motivation effect the employee performance. Then viewed from the Adjusted R Square value, it shows that the magnitude of the influence between variables is 0.671, which means that there is an influence between situational leadership style, workload, and work motivation on employee performance by 67.1 percent while 32.9 percent is explained by other variables not investigated in this study.

Abstract

The objective of this quantitative causal research is to analyze the mediating role of job satisfaction in the effects of work stress on work engagement. This study was conducted due to the gap phenomenon in the research subject, PT INKA Multi Solusi. The results of the past annual survey demonstrate a decreasing trend in work engagement and job satisfaction despite the decreasing work stress level. Using Slovin formula, the number of the sample was set to 100 respondents; they were selected through simple random sampling from five departments representing all directorates. The departments are Information Technology, Cooling System & Non-Train, Company Secretary, Logistics, and Risk Management. The research data was harvested via questionnaires and was analyzed using Partial Least Squares in SmartPLS. This study finds that (1) work stress insignificantly influences work engagement, (2) that work stress negatively and significantly impacts job satisfaction, (3) that job satisfaction positively and significantly affects work engagement, and that (4) job satisfaction mediates the effect of work stress on work engagement. This study offers a deeper understanding about the mechanism of influence between the variables through the perspective of Job Demands-Resource Theory (JD-R). The practical implication of this research is that the company must focus on job satisfaction first so that work stress can be contained in order to increase work engagement.

Abstract

The objectives of this study are to identify the partial effects of workload and job stress on burnout among health workers at the Gambiran Regional Public Hospital of Kediri City and to identify which variable that is more dominant in affecting the burnout. This quantitative study is categorized as explanatory research, in which the hypothesis testing was used to identify the effects of the independent variable, i.e., workload (X1) and job stress (X2), on the dependent variable, i.e., burnout (Y). Using 52 people as the respondents and multiple linear regression for the hypothesis testing, this study finds that workload positively and significantly influences burnout and that job stress does not influence burnout. Furthermore, the variable that has a more dominant impact on burnout (Y) is workload (X1). Therefore, it is suggested that Gambiran Regional Public Hospital of Kediri City pay more attention on the workload of its health workers in order to reduce burnout and to keep the job stress level of its health workers minimum.
