Abstract

The objective of this research is to identify the effects of leadership style and work load on the job satisfaction of employees working in the General Service Department of Bungo Regency Office. The population of this quantitative explanatory research consists of 98 people. Since census sampling was used, all of them were selected as the respondents. The research instruments were assessed using validity and reliability tests. The research data was evaluated through classical assumption consisting of normality, multicollinearity, and heteroscedasticity tests before being analyzed using multiple linear regression. The hypothesis testing was conducted using t test, F test, and coefficient of determination test. The results show that leadership style and work load significantly influence employee job satisfaction. Further, the adjusted R-squared value of 0.821 indicates that the effects of leadership style and work load on employee job satisfaction is 82.1%. Hence, the remaining 17.9% of the influence is explained by other variables other than leadership style and work load.

Abstract

Community welfare can be measured from the level of community health. To create a healthy community, adequate facilities, infrastructure and infrastructure are needed, namely by establishing a sports center. The sports center at Pesanggrahan Pratama Housing has long been neglected due to lack of maintenance. The purpose of this community service program is to revitalize the neglected sports center at Pesanggrahan Pratama Housing so that it can be used properly for sports activities and to socialize the importance of healthy life. The method of implementing community service consists of three stages including preparation, implementation and evaluation. The result of this service is the formation of a sports center with a new face and sports activities of residents can be seen in the morning and evening. Based on the results of the evaluation and monitoring using the Guttman scale, it shows that the revitalized sports center and the socialization of the importance of healthy life have a significant impact on residents. Residents start exercising and living a healthy life. So that this community service program is successful and has a positive and sustainable impact on residents of Pesanggrahan Pratama Housing.

Abstract

Abstract: This research aims to determine if employee engagement mediates the association between turnover intention, person-job fit (PJ Fit), and person-organization fit (PO Fit). This study employed a survey design involving employees from various hospitality industries in Indonesia. We distributed 470 questionnaires to the respondents (367 are available). SmartPLS 3.0's path analysis was utilized to verify the questionnaires' validity and reliability. Findings. Findings confirmed the direct effect the employee engagement mediates between Person-Job fit and Intention to Quit and Person-Organization Fit and Employee Engagement. In the indirect impact, employee engagement negotiated between Person-Job fit and Intention to Quit, Person-Organization Fit and Intention to Quit. Uniqueness. In the Indonesian hospitality sector, this study clarified the mediating role level of employee engagement between Person-Job fit and Intention to Quit, Person-Organization fit and Intention to Quit. Abstract

The objective of this research is to analyze the planning of business development strategy prepared by Micro, Small, and Medium-Sized Enterprises (MSME) in One Stop food center in Arjowinangun. This research uses primary data, which was harvested from interviews with the food center’s tenants and visitors, and secondary data, which was acquired from related literatures and the enterprises’ data. The food center is poor in its customer traffic, which in the end reduced revenues necessary for development. Such condition is the background of this research. The objective is to identify the internal and external factors which affect the business of One Stop. The problems of this qualitative descriptive research were solved using IFE Matrix, EFE Matrix, IE Matrix, SWOT Matrix, and QSPM Matrix. The Swot analysis was used to identify the business’ strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats, while the QSPM (Quantitative Strategic Planning Matrix) was used to evaluate and to choose the most effective strategies. This study produces solutions in forms of intensive strategies manifested into market penetration, that is by organizing events for children and the customers such as drawing contest, singing contest, holiday celebration, and so on.   Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis perencanaan strategi pengembangan bisnis pada Usaha Mikro, Kecil, dan Menengah (UMKM) Pujasera One Stop Arjowinangun. Studi ini melibatkan pengumpulan data primer dan sekunder. Data primer diperoleh melalui wawancara dengan pemilik bisnis dan pengamatan langsung di lokasi. Data sekunder mencakup literatur terkait, data pemasaran sebelumnya, dan data perusahaan lainnya. Permasalahan yang dimiliki oleh One Stop Arjowinangun terletak pada kurang maksimalnya traffic customer yang ada, hal ini menyebabkan terbatasnya perkembangan yang dapat dilakukan. Kondisi tersebut melatarbelakangi dilakukannya penelitian ini, dengan tujuan untuk mencari faktor internal dan eksternal yang berpengaruh pada bisnis One Stop Arjowinangun. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah jenis metode kualitatif deskriptif. Alat penyelesaian masalah yang digunakan adalah IFE Matrix, EFE Matrix, IE Matrix, SWOT, dan QSPM Matrix. Pendekatan analisis SWOT bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi kekuatan, kelemahan, peluang, dan ancaman bisnis, serta Matriks QSPM (Quantitative Strategic Planning Matrix) untuk mengevaluasi dan memilih strategi pemasaran yang paling efektif. Penelitian ini menghasilkan solusi yaitu market penetration dengan pengadaan event untuk anakanak dan customer (Lomba menggambar, menyanyi, peringatan hari besar dll).

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of work-family conflict and work-life balance on the performance of female employees of CV. Kampuh Lipat. This type of research is causality or causal research which intends to test whether there is an effect or influence of one variable that causes changes in other variables or in this study, namely the effect of the independent variable on the dependent variable. Respondents in this study were all female employees of CV. Kampuh Lipat both currently, and have been married totaling 59 people. Data collection methods were carried out through distributing questionnaires and interviews as primary sources as well as employee data and company profile as secondary sources. The data analysis method consists of validity test, reliability test, classical assumption test, multiple linear regression, and hypothesis testing using SPSS 26 tool. The results of the study indicate that work-family conflict affects employee performance, work-life balance affects employee performance, and work-life balance has a dominant effect on employee performance.   Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh work-family conflict dan work-life balance terhadap kinerja karyawan wanita CV. Kampuh Lipat. Jenis penelitian ini adalah kausalitas atau causal research yang bermaksud untuk menguji apakah terdapat efek atau pengaruh satu variabel yang menimbulkan perubahan pada variabel lainnya atau pada penelitian ini, yaitu pengaruh variabel bebas terhadap variabel terikat. Responden dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh karyawan wanita CV. Kampuh Lipat baik berstatus sedang, maupun pernah menikah berjumlah 59 orang. Metode pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui penyebaran kuesioner dan wawancara sebagai sumber primer serta data karyawan dan company profile sebagai sumber sekunder. Metode analisis data terdiri dari uji validitas, uji reliabilitas, uji asumsi klasik, regresi linear berganda, dan uji hipotesis menggunakan tool SPSS 26. Hasil dari penelitian menunjukkan bahwa work-family conflict berpengaruh terhadap kinerja karyawan, work-life balance berpengaruh terhadap kinerja karyawan, dan work-life balance berpengaruh dominan terhadap kinerja karyawan.

Abstract

A crane transports heavy goods using a tall structure to move from one point to another within a certain distance. The rotary crane can be modeled as a simple rotary pendulum on an experimental scale. As a controlled object, the model is used to simulate the control performances that are appropriate for crane use. The angular position of the pendulum arm and link are the main objects to be controlled. A smaller pendulum link swing and fast pendulum arm reach the final position without or with a small overshoot, which is desired. The space space model of the rotary pendulum is derived since it represents the multi-input-multi-output system. The state feedback control was then developed to design the control system. The integral time absolute error performance index was set as the desired performance within the operation range. The controller gain K was obtained based on the system's performance index and characteristic equation. The simulation was then conducted in a computer model using the Xcos model provided by Scilab software to iterate the best value of controller gain K. The simulation result was implemented as a controlled object in the rotary pendulum. The rotary pendulum is driven by a DC motor with a rotary encoder attached to it to track its position. The angular swing pendulum is tracked using a rotary encoder as well. Hardware in the loop configuration was built to experiment.

Abstract

The total number of health workers who died from COVID-19 infection reached two thousand people. The number of victims from medical personnel certainly needs to be a concern. Reducing the contact of medical workers with infected patients is an alternative solution to reduce the number of victims. Medical assistant robots are an alternative solution for helping medical workers to provide service to the infected patient. But, the most medical assistant robot did not have a mechanism to open the door. So, the robot becomes less effective if the health workers still have to open the door for the robot. Because of that, it is very crucial to develop a mechanism to open the door on a medical assistant robot. The research is focused on developing an opening door mechanism for the medical assistant robot that was made before. The results show that the opening door mechanism can help the medical assistant robot open the door. The test results also show that none of the door opening processes failed during ten times testing.

Abstract

The performance of employees is closely related to compensation (total cash), organizational culture, and leadership. This research aims to identify the independent variables: compensation (X1), leadership (X2), and organizational culture (X3) by dependent variable of performance (Y). The result of multiple regression analysis had identified that organizational culture dominantly influenced the employee performance in the Integrated Office of Malang City.

Abstract

The interest and demand of the market in food industry, especially seblak, in Malang City keep growing. Therefore, a comprehensive business planning for the establishment of Warung Seblak Sundakita is an effective way to plan developmental strategies in response to the increasing interests, variations, and uniqueness of food industry. The main objective of this business planning study is to analyze the prospect of establishing Warung Seblak Sundakita using a qualitative research and library research. The validity of the data was assessed using observations in business analysis, interview results, and document studies. The results of the analysis performed in this research provide the foundation for the strategic planning in all aspects of business that will be used to survive and face the competition. Based on the analysis result, Warung Seblak Sundakita has high potentials to compete in seblak market in Malang City. Here key aspects such as product development, marketing strategy, operational design, managerial design, and development strategy encompassing product innovation and market expansion are prioritized. This business planning study serves as a guideline and practical supporter to the optimization of business aspects and the attainment of sustainable business growth in Malang City

Abstract

The performance of officials of the Office of Supervision and Service Customs and Gresik taxes is falling. This is due to the job motivation and career development in the Gresik Customs and Tax Supervision and Services Division. The study aims to identify and analyze the impact of motivation and career development on the performance of employees at the Customs and Tax Supervision and Services Office of Gresik District. The type of research used is a quantitative and explanatory approach. This analysis is used to measure the influence of free variables, namely career development and job motivation, on the bound variable, which is the performance of employees with the help of SPSS 25 software. The research results can conclude that motivation for work positively and significantly influences staff performance in the Customs and Customised Oversight and Service Office of the Gresik District. Career development significantly and positively impacts staff performance in the Gresik District of Customy and Control Office and Service.   Keywords: Employee Performance, Work Motivation, Career Development
