Abstract

Banyak perumusan yang dapat digunakan untuk perencanaan pondasi tiang. Perhitungan secara manual akan menghabiskan proses yang lama, panjang, serta peluang terjadinya kesalahan juga besar. Dengan meluasnya penggunaan komputer, pembuatan suatu program aplikasi komputer akan membantu perhitungan lebih cepat dan akurat. Dalam tugas akhir ini, sebuah program dibuat dengan menggunakan MATLAB yang dapat dimanfaatkan untuk membantu dalam perencanaan pondasi tiang. MATLAB dipilih karena telah tersedia untuk berbagai sistem operasi serta memiliki kemampuan fasilitas grafik yang cukup baik dan kemampuan graphical user interface yang membantu dalam pemrogaman. Pembahasan yang ditinjau dalam tugas akhir ini meliputi daya dukung pondasi tiang tunggal, efisiensi pondasi tiang kelompok (pile group), analisa gaya geser negatif (negative skin friction), dan penurunan pondasi tiang dengan beberapa rumus serta asumsi umum yang sering dipakai. Program ini telah dijalankan sekaligus diverifikasi dengan perhitungan manual. Setiap hasil dari program ini sama dengan hasil dari perhitungan manual dan proses pengoperasian program cukup cepat.

Abstract

Breast cancer is one of the most threatening diseases for women. It is found that BRCA2 gene plays a significant role in breast cancer, provided that mutations occurred. The objective of this study is to determine whether the bioinformatics approach could provide the gene networking, molecular simulation, and computational metabolomics information to shed the relation between BRCA2 gene mutation with breast cancer progression. The methods are utilizing molecular simulation tools to comprehend the biochemical interaction of BRCA2 gene with other oncogenic genes. Lastly, the molecular docking tool is devised to provide the molecular interactions information. It could be implied that the Computer-Aided Drug Design (CADD)-based in silico transcriptomics tools could provide the fine-grained information on the exact role of BRCA2 gene in the progression of breast cancer. The clinical impact of this study could only be measured after the wet laboratory experiment is conducted to validate the computational approach results

Abstract

Sebagai salah satu negara yang belum mampu menyelesaikan masalah kemisikinan, Indonesia memiliki permasalahan ketimpangan sosial di mana-mana, khususnya di kota besar seperti Kota Batam. Contohnya adalah mengenai gelandangan dan pengemis. Tujuan dari penelitian ini ialah untuk melihat bagaimana kebijakan yang penanggulangan permasalahan gelandangan dan pengemis di Kota Batam serta bagaimana keberadaan kebijakan tersebut dari prespektif Tujuan Pembangunan Berkelanjutan atau disebut Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Dengan menggunakan metode penelitian hukum normatif serta teknik analisa deskrtiptif, dapat dilihat bahwa pelaksanaan kebijakan penanganan gelandangan dan pengemis yang ada belum maksimal, sehingga dibutuhkan pertimbangan untuk mengganti kebijakan tersebut dengan menanamkan nilai-nilai tujuan sesuai pilar SDGs.

Abstract

The objective of this study was to achieve optimal concentrations for promoting the growth of Arabica coffee seedlings. This investigation was carried out in the Screen House at Tadulako University's Faculty of Agriculture in Palu, Central Sulawesi. The research lasted from April until August of 2020. Using a Randomized Block Design (RBD) with a single factor—shallot extract—three treatments were used, each replicated nine times, for a total of 81 experimental units: E1 at 40%, E2 at 50%, and E3 at 60%. An analysis of variance (with a significance level of 5%) was performed to assess the impact of these interventions on the observed parameters. In cases where statistically significant effects were found, a second honest significant difference test (5% BNJ) was performed. The results showed that applying different doses of shallot extract stimulated Arabica coffee seedling growth, as shown by increased plant height, leaf count, and stem diameter. Notably, a 60% shallot extract concentration had a particularly significant influence on the growth rate of Arabica coffee seedlings.

Abstract

his study aims to conduct a comparative investigation of two types of reinforced concrete shear walls namely, slender shearwalls and squat shearwalls in order to understand the differences in their dynamic responses and hysteretic behavior under seismic loading. The analysis was performed through a numerical approach using time history simulation in the OpenSees software, with the El Centro earthquake record as input. The study focuses on evaluating structural displacement, force, rotation, moment, and ductility based on force-displacement and moment-rotation relationships. The results indicate that the slender shearwall exhibits larger displacement responses, more significant plastic rotations, and better ductility performance in the positive direction. Conversely, the squat shearwall demonstrates greater lateral stiffness and strength, along with higher ductility in the negative direction. The hysteretic characteristics of both wall types further reflect the dominance of different structural mechanisms slender shearwalls tend to exhibit flexural behavior, while squat shearwalls are primarily governed by shear action. Overall, the simulation results reveal that each shearwall type has its own distinctive advantages. The slender shearwall is more effective in accommodating plastic deformation, whereas the squat shearwall excels in resisting large lateral forces with limited deformation. These findings are expected to serve as a reference for the design of shear wall systems in earthquake-resistant buildings, particularly in Indonesia.

Abstract

Abstract: This study explores the transformation of Bali Aga vernacular architecture in Sidetapa Village, Buleleng Regency, focusing on Bale Gajah Tumpang Salu as a representative traditional house with high historical, spiritual, and socio-cultural value. The vernacular architecture in this village reflects the community’s adaptation to environmental conditions, local cosmology, and evolving social dynamics. Using a qualitative approach and a case study method, the research examines changes in form, materials, and building functions influenced by modernization and contemporary functional needs. Findings reveal that despite significant changes in building orientation, the use of modern materials, and the addition of functional spaces such as kitchens and bathrooms, the people of Sidetapa strive to preserve the core values of their traditional houses. Sacred spaces, internal wooden structures, and symbolic elements like selepitan and jaro are still maintained. Furthermore, traditional houses serve economic functions, such as the production of bamboo crafts, which remain the primary livelihood for many residents. This study highlights the importance of preserving vernacular architecture as a dynamic expression of cultural identity. Conservation strategies that balance modern needs with traditional values are essential to ensuring the continuity of Bali Aga cultural heritage amid changing times. Keyword: Vernacular Architecture, Bali Aga, Sidetapa Village, Gajah Tumpang Salu, Traditional House Transformation Abstrak: Penelitian ini membahas transformasi arsitektur vernakular Bali Aga di Desa Sidetapa, Kabupaten Buleleng, dengan fokus pada Bale Gajah Tumpang Salu sebagai representasi rumah adat yang memiliki nilai historis, spiritual, dan sosial budaya tinggi. Arsitektur vernakular di desa ini mencerminkan adaptasi masyarakat terhadap kondisi lingkungan, kosmologi lokal, serta dinamika sosial yang terus berkembang. Dengan pendekatan kualitatif dan metode studi kasus, penelitian ini mengeksplorasi perubahan bentuk, material, dan fungsi bangunan tradisional akibat pengaruh modernisasi dan kebutuhan fungsional masa kini. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa meskipun terjadi perubahan signifikan dalam orientasi bangunan, penggunaan material modern, dan penambahan ruang fungsional seperti dapur dan kamar mandi, masyarakat Sidetapa tetap berupaya mempertahankan nilai-nilai inti rumah adat mereka. Ruang-ruang suci, struktur kayu dalam, serta elemen-elemen simbolik seperti selepitan dan jaro masih dijaga eksistensinya. Selain itu, rumah adat juga berperan dalam aktivitas ekonomi seperti produksi kerajinan bambu yang menjadi mata pencaharian utama warga. Penelitian ini menegaskan pentingnya pelestarian arsitektur vernakular sebagai wujud identitas budaya yang dinamis. Strategi pelestarian yang mempertimbangkan keseimbangan antara kebutuhan modern dan nilai tradisional menjadi kunci dalam menjaga keberlanjutan warisan budaya Bali Aga di tengah perubahan zaman. Kata Kunci: Arsitektur Vernakular, Bali Aga, Desa Sidetapa, Gajah Tumpang Salu, Transformasi Rumah Adat
