Abstract

This study was aimed at analyzing kinds of promise strategies realized by the students of an EFL conversation class at LBPP LIA Semarang Candi. The objectives were to find out whether the promise strategies are realized by the respondents, to describe the kinds of promise strategies applied by the students, to find out the probable factors influencing the realization of promise and to explain the reasons behind it. This research is qualitative, descriptive. The data was gathered by two methods: DCT and role play. In conducting the research, the steps were transcribing the data, coding the data, classifying the data, interpreting the data, describing the finding and drawing the conclusions. In this research, I analyzed two kinds of data from from ten students, consisting 12 DCT situations and 12 role play situations with integrated probable factors (dominance, relationship and imposition). Future-action is the most realized promise strategy. Non-strategy and promise-to-act came after that, while predictive-assertion is the least realized promise strategy. In conclusion, students’ schemata resulting from the language learning process and their mother tongue, language transfer and their maturity influence the realization of promise strategy more than dominance, distance and imposition.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis perbandingan harga saham antara perusahaan manufaktur dengan perusahaan keuangan melalui PER dan EPS. Populasi penelitian yaitu perusahaan manufaktur dan perusahaan keuangan yang listing di BEI selama periode 2007-2009. Pemilihan sampel dilakukan dengan metode purposive sampling dengan jumlah 11 sampel perusahaan manufaktur dan 12 sampel perusahaan keuangan. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan yaitu regresi linear berganda. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa secara simultan PER danEPS berpengaruh signifikan terhadap harga saham pada perusahaan manufaktur maupun perusahaan keuangan. Secara parsial PER dan EPS berpengaruh positif signifikan terhadap harga saham pada perusahaan manufaktur. Sedangkan secara parsial PER berpengaruh negatif signifikan terhadap harga saham dan EPS berpengaruh positif signifikan terhadap harga saham pada perusahaan keuangan. Pada perusahaan manufaktur, PER lebih dominan berpengaruh terhadap harga saham. Sedangkan pada perusahaan keuangan, EPS lebih dominan berpengaruh terhadap harga saham. Penelitian selanjutnya diharapkan menggunakan variabel penelitian yang lain diantaranya BV (Book Value), PBV (Price to Book Value) dan menggunakan perusahaan produktif lainnya. Supaya diketahui pengaruhnya terhadap harga saham dan diperoleh return maksimal dari investasi perusahaan tersebut.

Abstract

Kemampuan pemecahan masalah merupakan salah satu tujuan pembelajaran matematika, tetapi kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa tergolong rendah, berdasarkan hasil penelitian sebelumnya dan wawancara dengan guru sekolah dasar bahwa siswa belum terbiasa menyelesaikan soal pemecahan masalah (soal non rutin) sehingga siswa sulit memahami soal. Fakta tersebut merupakan latar belakang dari penelitian dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui apakah ada perbedaan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa antara kelas yang menggunakan model pembelajaran Creative Problem Solving dengan kelas yang menggunakan metode konvensional. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuasi eksperimen dengan nonequivalent pretest-posttest control group design. Populasi dari penelitian yaitu kelas IV di salah satu SD Kecamatan Munjuljaya dengan sampel siswa kelas IVB dan kelas IVC. Teknik sampel yang digunakan yaitu purposive sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah tes kemampuan pemecahan masalah yang diberikan sebelum dan sesudah perlakuan. Data dianalisis menggunakan statistik deskriptif dan statistik inferensial. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dari skor N-gain, rata-rata N-gain kelas eksperimen tergolong sedang dan rata-rata kelas kontrol tergolong  rendah dan dari hasil uji t dengan taraf kepercayaan 95% menunjukkan tidak adanya perbedaan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa antara kelas yang menggunakan model pembelajaran Creative Problem Solving dengan kelas yang menggunakan metode konvensional. Dibutuhkan pemahaman konsep matematika untuk dapat menyelesaikan kemampuan pemecahan masalah. Kata kunci : Model Pembelajaran Creative Problem Solving (CPS), Kemampuan Pemecahan Masalah Matematis

Abstract

This research was conducted with the aim of describing the creative thinking abilities of Grade VIII junior high school students with the characteristics of fieldindependent cognitive style students in solving math problems on SPLDV material. Theapproach used in this study is a qualitative approach. The subject of this study was classVIII F students of SMP Negeri 36 Semarang for the academic year 2022/2023, with a totalof 1 person, namely students with the FI cognitive style. Subjects were determined bycarrying out the GEFT test to determine students' cognitive styles. The data collectionmethod used in this study used written data from the SPLDV test and interviews. TheSPLDV test is adjusted to indicators of creative thinking, namely fluency, flexibility andnovelty. The data analysis technique used is data reduction, data presentation and conclusion. Data validity checking techniques using source triangulation. The results of this study indicate that students with the FI cognitive style fulfill all indicators of creativethinking, namely fluency, flexibility and novelty.
