Abstract

Although many researchers have focused on entrepreneurship education, little research has been done into the effects for students and the overall effectiveness of the university for entrepreneurship education programs in Indonesia. The research focused using theory of planned behavior and investigates the impact of entrepreneurship programs on the entrepreneur intention students in Brawijaya University. Data for this study is drawn from 9 faculty in Brawijaya University. Sample used in this research have 382 student 2016 period. The results show that participants of entrepreneurship education programs in brawijaya university have a positive effect on atitude toward entrepreneurship, subjective norm and perceived behavioral control. Variable atitude toward entrepreneurship, subjective norm and perceived behavioral control have a positive effect to entrepreneurial intention. Furthermore, the findings of this report entrepreneurship education to entrepreneur intention have a positive effect and significant through planned behaviour as intevening variable in Brawijaya University student 2016 period

Abstract

The research aims to utilize the business model value chain to analyze the competitiveness of entrepreneurial retailing of traditional second-hand fashion that potential strategies in Jember. Design qualitative research method case studies with single-case to in-depth interviews with owner/managers retail. The results showed formulating a business model retailing traditional second-hand fashion provides a new lens for competency area, and behavior focus on goal orientation that correlates to reducing surplus waste products and apparel through resale rather than being allocated to the waste system. Thus, research findings utilize the business model value chain on based-oriented: a) sorting, refurbishing, and cleaning as operations, b) innovative redistribution as outbound logistics, c) word-of-mouth as advertising, and d) fitting room simple as service. Therefore, revelatory of the competitiveness highlights the core competency of retailing traditional second-hand fashion on rethinking reducing post-consumer textile waste and further contributing to learning existing business practices. Abstract

One of the entrepreneurs' roles in a country is to increase national economic development. The importance of entrepreneurship is that it's able to reduce unemployment by creating jobs. One of the driving factors of entrepreneurial growth in a state is the role of university through entrepreneurship education. Higher education as an educational institution plays an important role in developing state economy by shaping the students and giving birth to entrepreneurs. Universities are responsible in educating and providing entrepreneurial abilities to their students in order to increase interest in entrepreneurship. This study focuses on examining the relationship between entrepreneurial traits, entrepreneurial skills, and contextual factors on motivation and their influence on entrepreneurial interest. The population in this study were undergraduate students from the 2017 and 2018 batches of Universitas Brawijaya and asample of 387 respondents was obtained. The use of analysis with SEM-PLS proves that entrepreneurial traits, entrepreneurial skills, and contextual factors have a positive and significant effect on motivation and entrepreneurial interest. However, this study found that motivation had no significant effect on entrepreneurial interest. In future research, it is expected to be able to develop research by adding other variables and indicators so that it is more varied and can add research findings, especially in the field of entrepreneurial interest.
