Abstract

This Community Partnership Program (PKM) is about Implementing Technology to Improve the Quality of Coconut Dregs as Fodder in Majauleng District, Wajo Regency of South Sulawesi. The program started in March 2018. Business opportunity of producing fodder from coconut dregs is very promising in Paria village. The implementation of technology is needed to increase the benefits, quality and value of coconut dregs which will increase family income. Based on the identified problems, this program propose solutions to solve them. First, collective counseling. The community is gathered to listen the explanations and discuss about the benefits of implementing technology in processing fodder from coconut dregs. Next, collective training. The training is about processing coconut dregs starting from collecting coconut dregs, steaming/ drying, microbial mixing, cooling, drying, and packaging. Approaches used in this program are participatory approaches, group approaches, individual approaches, lecturing, and discussion. The participatory approach was used so the group members actively participate in this program. The group approach was used to hold counseling, training/ processing simulations, then further activity is done with individual approach. The results obtained were the fremented and dried coconut dregs which was very effective as an alternative for fodder compared to coconut dregs without any treatment (fermented or dried). The fermented coconut dregs is preffered since it is easy to make with urea-based fertilizer, Em4 animals, yeast and rumen of cattle (if any). When the groups have extra ingredients, they can dry them under the sunlight. The result of fermented coconut dregs have promising prospects in the future.

Abstract

Mangrove ecosystems provide various ecological and economic functions, such as environmental services as an ecotourism area. This study aims to determine the factors that influence plastic waste on the socio-economic life of coastal communities in the Lantebung area. The data in this study are primary data obtained from interviews with respondents with structured questions and statements. The data collection method with structured interview and data analysis used in this research is an impressional statistical method with an SEM approach. The results of the data analysis, the factors that affect plastic waste are the volume of waste with a loading factor value of 0.966.  In contrast, the factors that affect the social economy is a loading factor value of 0.732. Plastic waste has a significant relationship to the socio-economic community, with a P value of 0.018 less than 0.05. The direction of the relationship between plastic waste and the socio-economic community is negative, with -0.240, meaning that the higher the plastic waste, the socio-economic community in the Lantebung mangrove area will decrease.

Abstract

Balai Benih Ikan (BBI) merupakan penyedia kebutuhan benih ikan bagi masyarakat pembudidaya ikan air tawar dan memiliki peluang untuk menjadi acuan teknis budidaya bagi masyarakat sekaligus juga dapat menjadi barometer perkembangan budidaya perikanan di daerah yang bersangkutan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui peran BBI dalam meningkatkan kesejahteraan masyarakat kelompok Pembudidaya di Kecamatan Bissappu Kabupaten Bantaeng. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Kecamatan Bissappu Kabupaten Bantaeng dengan metode penelitian Deskriptif dan kualitatif yang melakukan survey lokasi serta wawancara pada responden. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis ddeskriptif dengan menjelaskan data-data yang diperoleh untuk mengetahui bagaimana kondisi kesejahteraan masyarakat kelompok pembudidaya ikan di kecamatan Bissappu dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui apakah ada perubahan kesejahteraan kelompok pembudidaya ikan di Kecamatan Bissappu Kabupaten Bantaeng. berdasarkan hasil penelitian terlihat bahwa BBI Rappoa memiliki peran penting dalam mengembangkan usaha budidaya ikan air tawar dengan menggunakan langkah :melakukan penyuluhan, memberikan bantuan sarana produksi, menyediakan pasar ikan, dan melakukan pembenihan ikan. Dalam meningkatkan kesejahteraan, BBI memberikan dampak positif pada kondisi kesejahteraan masyarakat kelompok pembudidaya ikan air tawar di Kecamatan Bissappu, yaitu membuka lapangan kerja dan meningkatkan pendapatan masyarakat.

Abstract

Probiotik merupakan mikroorganisme hidup yang mampu membantu pencernaan makanan pada tubuh hewan dan manusia sehingga makanan yang mengandung probiotik akan mampu dicerna dan diserap tubuh dengan baik. Mikroorganisme di dalam saluran pencernaan mempunyai peran penting dalam meningkatkan daya cerna sehingga mempercepat proses pencernaan dan pertumbuhan ikan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh pemberian pakan yang difermentasi dengan berbagai dosis probiotik yang diperkaya molase terhadap laju pertumbuhan spesifik dan sintasan ikan nila. Penelitian ini didesain dengan menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) yang terdiri dari 3 perlakuan dan 3 ulangan, sehingga terdapat 9 satuan percobaan. Perlakuan pada penelitian ini adalah pakan komersil yang diberi probiotik dengan dosis berbeda kemudian diperkaya dengan molase. Konsentarsi dari probiotik yang terkandung dalam pakan perlakuan tersebut adalah (A) Pemberian pakan komersil tanpa pengayaan bakteri probiotik dan molase, (B) 50 ml/kg pakan + molase 100 ml, didiamkan selama 30 menit, dan (C) 30 ml/kg pakan + molase 100 ml, didiamkan selama 30 menit. Parameter yang diamati pada penelitian ini adalah pertumbuhan mutlak, laju pertumbuhan spesifik serta sintasan. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis ragam (anova) untuk melihat pengaruh antar perlakuan dan jika terdapat pengaruh nyata (P<0,05) maka dilanjutkan dengan uji W-Tukcey untuk melihat perbedaan antar perlakuan. Berdasarkan hasil pada penelitian ini maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa konsentrasi probiotik yang diperkaya molase terbaik dalam meningkatkan pertumbuhan ikan nila adalah 50 ml/kg +100 ml molase kemudian didiamkan selama 30 menit.

Abstract

This study aimed to analyze changes in the coastline in the Northeast of Nunukan Island, North Kalimantan Province and to determine the area in the Northeast of Nunukan Island, North Kalimantan Province, which experienced changes in the coastline. This research was conducted in February - March 2022 on the Northeast Coast of Nunukan Island, North Kalimantan Province. The type of data collected is satellite imagery for the last 6 years, 2017-2022. Data were analyzed using GIS software with cropping, radiometric correction, geometric correction, image enhancement, shoreline digitization and overlay methods. The results showed that the rate of change of the eastern coastline of Nunukan Island in 2017 was 13,457.91 m long, 2018 was 14,266.82 m long, 2019 was 14,787.25 m long, 2020 was 14,762.21 m long, 2021 was 15,369.23 m long, and in 2022 it is 15,968.22 m. The area that has experienced a change in coastline on Nunukan Island, North Kalimantan Province, namely in 2017 covering an area of 21.70 ha, in 2018 covering an area of 22.27 ha, in 2019 covering an area of 23.34 ha, in 2020 covering an area of 23.74 ha, in 2021 covering an area of 24 .26 ha and in 2022 it will be 32.82 ha. This study concludes that the area of change in the coastline has changed significantly from 2017 to 2022.

Abstract

Mangroves are coastal ecosystems that have many benefits, including the ecological benefits of being a source of nutrients for marine life (aquatic biota) and a source of food for land biota. This study aimed to determine the species composition and community structure of mangrove vegetation based on the substrate type and the relationship between mangrove density and substrate texture in Borimasunggu Village, Labakang District. This research was carried out from July to August 2021 in the Borimasunggu Village, Labakkang District, Pangkep Regency. The research method is purposive random sampling which is divided into 3 stages. At each station, 3 transects/plots are determined. The study results found 3 mangrove species in Borimasunggu Village, Labakang District, based on the type of substrate, namely Rhizophora stylosa, Avicennia alba, and Sonneratia alba species. Relative Frequency (RFi) in Borimasunggu Sub-District, Labakang District, was found for all species equally, namely 33.33, the highest relative cover (RCi) was the species Rhizophora stylosa, which was 39.25, and the lowest Relative Coverage (RCi) was the mangrove species Sonneratia alba, which was 26,15. While the highest Significance Value (INP) is the mangrove species Rhizophora stylosa, which equals 148.66%, and the lowest Important Value (INP) is the mangrove species Sonneratia alba, which is equal to 70.59%. The highest relative density (RDi) was found in the mangrove species Rhizophora stylosa, which was 74.07% with a clay substrate type, followed by Avicennia alba 14.81% and Sonneratia alba 11.11% with a dusty clay substrate types.
