Abstract

Humans are inherently unique and have a tendency to think rationally and irrationally. When people think and act rationally, humans will be effective, happy, and competent. Conversely, when thinking and behaving irrationally, individuals will become ineffective. A person's emotional reaction to a situation/event is largely due to conscious or unconscious evaluations, interpretations, and philosophies. Psychological or emotional barriers are the result of illogical and irrational ways of thinking. Emotions accompany individuals who think with prejudice, are highly personal, and irrational. Irrational thinking begins with learning illogically obtained from parents and the culture in which they grew up. Thinking irrationally will be reflected in the verbalization used. Illogical verbalizations indicate wrong ways of thinking and proper verbalizations show correct ways of thinking. This research activity is a form of implementing counseling practices with a Rational Therapy approach to people with mental disorders, in this case, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) at Yayasan Satu Hati Membangun (YASAM).

Abstract

Having a closed nature has many adventages such as being able to be a good listener, and doing more actions than talking. Not only does it have adventages, it also has some disadvantages, such as being difficult to communicate with, not having many friends, and being difficult to socialize with the surrounding environment. Some of these losses can cause a person to experience loneliness and withdraw from the social environment. If this happens continuosly it will have serious consequences. As a result, it can occur gradually, namely feeling insecure, and depressed. This also happened to one of the children at the Puteri Aisyiyah Orphanage who needed help to increase her confidence. The process of providing assistance was carried out in the PKL 1 mini project activity, namely by using the casework method. Several stages consist of Engagement Intake Contract, Assessment, Planning, Intervention, Evaluation, and Termination. The focus of solving client problems is by writing a diary as a strategy to be used for clients to know who they are and their strengths in order to increase their confidence. The purpose of this strategy was declared successful with significant client changes, including opening up to those closest to them.

Abstract

This writing started with a child who had problems related to mathematics, and here I am building his interest in mathematics so that the US is interested in mathematics. We both know that in this life, we are very close to mathematics. There are many competitions that always involve mathematics. From here we should already know that mathematics is very important in our lives. The US problem itself was related to mathematics which started when the teacher scolded the US for not being able to answer the questions given to the US. And here we also know that the role of a teacher is very important in influencing a child's interest. The intervention program that is suitable for use in this problem is the micro intervention by Skidmore in Adi, 2013, a case work consisting of stages, namely the Engagement, Intake, Contract, Assessment, Program Planning, Intervention, Evaluation, and Termination Stages. By using the skidmore method, the authors more easily solve client problems. Not only that, the approach taken by the author to children in institutions is also the right choice, and can be a reference for people in carrying out solutions and approaches like the author did. The author who helped the US in its problems hopes that the US will continue to love mathematics and can help children in institutions in learning mathematics.

This community service activity has the aim of providing assistance in reading the Qur'an with the correct recitation and the makhraj of the letters.Where in this case the target of this community service activity is devoted to people who do not understand how to read the Qur’an with good and correct recitation and makhraj. Abstract

Every individual must have a goal in living his life, which will encourage him to develop. The life goals described by individuals must be different. In fact, every individual who has certain conditions, they have to make more effort to achieve the expected goals in life. In this case, people have unusual background stories, such as the lives of target children who get a negative stigma given by society to former target children, even though there are many former target children who want to live a much better life. Therefore, personal branding using self-concept is urgently needed for children under the Special Development Institute for Class I Children in Medan. One of the objectives of this Field Work Practice is to provide assistance to foster children which is implemented in this mini project using the Group Work  at the Mezzo level, namely Assessment, Intervention Planning, Intervention, Monitoring, Evaluation, and Termination. In the process of providing assistance to clients by providing education to clients on how to build personal branding and build self-concept to clients. The results obtained from mini project have been achieved because the client now knows what their purpose in life is after their criminal term ends so they don't repeat mistakes in behavior. mini project also has a good impact not only on clients but also on other children.
