Abstract

This research aimed at describe the tradition of the Javanese traditional community wedding ceremony at Huta III Bandar Jawa, Bandar Subdistrict, Simalungun Regency. This research used descriptive qualitative approach. The results of the research were carried out by observation, interviews, and documentation. This research found that the Javanese traditional wedding tradition in Huta III generally consists of eleven processions, namely 1) peningsetan, 2) saserahan, 3) pasangtarub or tratag, 4) malamlamaran, 5) kerik-an, 6) ijabkabul, 7) temumanten, 8) lemparsirih, 9) injaktelur (wijidadi), 10) sungkeman, 11) tepungtawar and marhaban. The tradition of Javanese traditional ceremonies in Huta III is not the same as the wedding traditions in Central Java, there are several traditions or processions that have been abandoned. Not only that, the Javanese traditional wedding tradition in Huta III has now experienced a combination or acculturation of the surrounding culture, one of the acculturations of the Malay culture which has now been adopted or carried out by the Javanese people of Huta III in the Javanese traditional wedding procession.

Abstract

Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif, dengan pendekatan kajian budaya yang bersifat kritis, interdisipliner, multidimensional. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perubahan fungsi dan makna ritual tolak bala ini bukan hanya menjadikan ritual ini yang sebelumnya bukan barang komoditi menjadi barang komoditi tetapi perubahan fungsi dan makna ritual tolak bala berkaitan pula dengan proses produksi, distribusi dan konsumsi. Faktor penyebab perubahan fungsi dan makna ritual tolak bala pada etnik Melayu Pantai Labu di di Desa Bagan Kecamatan Pantai Labu Kabupaten Deli Serdang Provinsi Sumatera Utara yaitu sifat masyarakat yang terbuka, dan kreativitas masyarakat, media massa, dan ekonomi. Dampak dan makna perubahan ritual tolak bala yaitu berdampak terhadap kehidupan sosial budaya masyarakat yang cenderung merugikan ritual tolak bala yang dikomersialisasikan dan kaburnya identitas budaya. Disamping itu strategi pewarisan ritual ritual tolak bala pada etnik Melayu Pantai Labu ini dilakukan dalam tiga bentuk yaitu (1) pemberdayaan (2) dokumentasi dan (3) pengembangan.

Abstract

Persaingan bisnis antar pebisnis ritel akhir-akhir ini semakin ketat. Salah satu ritel (mart) yang ikut meramaikan persaingan itu adalah 212 Mart yang basis utama pangsa pasarnya adalah masyarakat Muslim. Sebagaimana mart yang lain, 212 Mart juga menjual kebutuhan yang sama untuk berbagai keperluan konsumen pada umumnya. Tujuan Penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui gambaran empirik tentang strategi manajemen sekaligus dampaknya terhadap minat konsumen untuk berbelanja di Mart 212 Al Jihad Medan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif, yaitu dengan menggunakan metode deskriptif dan studi kasus, serta teknik penelitian menggunakan wawancara observasi dan studi dokumentasi. Penelitian ini menggunakan rumus model hipotetik dampak strategi manajemen terhadap konsumen di 212 Mart Al Jihad Medan

Abstract

The problem in this study is how appropriate the teaching materials (Student Worksheet) in learning to write socially charged explanatory texts for class VI students are developed based on media experts, material experts, teachers and students?. The purpose of this study was to describe the feasibility of teaching materials (Student Worksheets) in learning to write socially charged explanatory texts for elementary/MI students. Class VI developed based on media experts, material experts, teachers and students. The research method used in this research is the research & development method. The research subject of this development product is the validator. The research subject of this development product is the validator. Assessment is done by filling out the validation sheet that has been provided, the validator in this study is the supervisor. In addition, the subjects of this research are sixth grade students of SD Negeri 105345 Sidodadi Ramunia, Beringin District. The object of this research is the Student Worksheet in learning to write socially charged explanatory texts in class VI SD Negeri 105345 Sidodadi Ramunia, Beringin District.

Abstract

The diversity of ethnic groups makes Indonesia also has a lot of local culture, one of which is folklore. Part of the culture of a society that is spread and traditional in nature which is passed down orally and from generation to generation is also called folklore. Folklore consists of two big words, namely folk and lore. Folk means a group of people who have physical, social, and cultural identifiable characteristics so that they can be distinguished from other groups. This research is a culture-based research that investigates folk culture as the identity of the Malay Archipelago tribes in Indonesia. Folklore or in Indonesian commonly referred to as folklore, is a branch of science that reviews and discusses culture. Folklore consists of two syllables, namely folk and lore. The purpose of this study is to describe Malay folklore as the development of the identity of the Malay community. This research is a qualitative descriptive study with an analysis method (content analysis). This research describes, analyzes, interprets the data. The method of analysis is using the literary reception approach and hermeneutics. The literary reception approach is used to find out how readers respond to Nusantara Malay folklore in Indonesia. The results of the analysis based on folklore (folklore) of the Archipelago in Indonesia, obtained include 1. People who always act and behave correctly always win, 2. People who act and behave in the wrong way will eventually perish, 3. God can make any miracle so that it doesn't happen. nothing is impossible for Him, 4. People who are arrogant, arrogant and have bad intentions will get reinforcements according to their actions. 5. The poor and weak should not be insulted or excluded because by the power of God they can become strong. So it can be concluded that the notion of folklore is a human culture (collectively) which is passed down from generation to generation, both in oral form and in the form of gestures. In Indonesia itself, every region, ethnicity, group, tribe, and religious group of each society has developed its own folklore so that there are various kinds of folklore that exist in Indonesia

Abstract

The title of this research is: “A Sociolinguistic Study of Code Switching in the Song Lyrics of Tak Tun Pour by Upiak Isil”. The purpose of this study is to describe the types, forms, and reasons for code switching in the lyrics of the song Tak Tun Pour. The research method used is descriptive method. The data consists of quotations in the form of lines and stanzas of the song lyrics undergoing code switching. The analysis was carried out by clarifying the types, forms, and reasons for code switching based on the theory presented by Suwito. The results of data analysis show that the type of code switching that appears in the lyrics of the song Tak Tun Pour is internal code switching. The code switching that occurs is in the form of intersentential switching. The reason for code switching is adjusting to the language code controlled by the interlocutor, the inability to use the language code that is being used for a long time continuously and continuously, changes in the interlocutor, and the specific intentions of the speaker. The type of code switching that appears is inward code switching. Code switching that occurs is in the form of insertion of words, phrases, clauses and repetition of words.
