Abstract

Technological progress is a challenge for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) to continue to survive. Information technology, especially social media, is very useful for MSMEs to improve their marketing. This industrial visit was conducted to identify the use of social media and its benefits to MSMEs in the West Karawang region. This industrial visit is an observational industrial visit with a descriptive method and combines it with interviews. This industrial visit aims to get an overview of the use of social media in MSMEs and its benefits for the development of MSMEs. The results of this industrial visit show that the most widely used social media are Facebook and WhatsApp, apart from social media, websites are also used by most MSMEs for marketing. Social media is an effective communication medium for MSMEs, can increase income  and open resellers for consumers who want to resell these products. The use of social media can increase sales volume by more than 100% if done consistently and updating information every day. The conclusion from this industrial visit, social media has the potential to increase market share and sales volume, so it needs to be used optimally and consistently.

Abstract

Our purpose is to conduct an industrial visit to KR Vape Karawang to find out about the use of social media by KR Vape Karawang to promote its business ventures. The method we use is descriptive and observative by collecting some of the data we got from KR Vape and interviewing several questions about social media conducted by KR Vape Karawang. The results of the visit that we know from KR Vape by using Instagram as a platform for utilization (social media) by sharing several product posters and video advertisements. In this way, KR Vape can promote its products more effectively and efficiently without having to waste time and spend excess funds on marketing their business (digital marketing). The discussion we are conducting is contextual which is more directed at how KR Vape markets most of its products on social media (Instagram).

Abstract

The Jaya Subur Makmur rice factory is a food processing plant founded by Mr. Abdul Muhyi in 1986. In terms of Supply Chain Management (SCM) studies, one of the root problems in the post-harvest rice commodity business is distribution problems. The low accessibility of commodity availability information for stakeholders results in the distribution process not going well, resulting in frequent accumulation of commodities and commodity vacancies on the other side. The aim of the study was to find out how to evaluate the performance of rice supply chain management at the Jaya Subur Makmur rice factory. This research is classified as a qualitative type using primary data from interviews and direct observation..

Abstract

The aims of this visit is to understand the pricing determination used by Candu Koffie Business in Lemahabang. The visit method used is the description and observation method, which aims to explain the company's condition based on existing facts and information obtained to acquire knowledge and draw conclusions about the current situation. The type of data used is primary data sources through direct interviews with the business owner and documents. Candu Koffie is located on Kedawung Street, No.3 Lemahabang. The results of the visit show that Candu Koffie initially did not accurately calculate production costs, and certain costs were also not included in the cost of goods sold. Candu Koffie considers production costs such as raw material costs, labor costs, and overhead costs. However, they do not include costs such as electricity, water, and other discount costs in determining the selling price of their products and sales. This visit provides valuable insights, especially in the food and beverage industry, to develop effective pricing strategies. With a better understanding of the factors that influence appropriate pricing.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas penggunaan modal kerja dan modal kerja dalam meningkatkan laba PT Astra International Tbk yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia. Data yang digunakan merupakan data sekunder yang bersumber dari laporan keuangan tahunan perusahaan selama periode penelitian. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan deskriptif kuantitatif. Perputaran modal kerja, perputaran kas, perputaran persediaan, dan ukuran profitabilitas termasuk laba atas ekuitas, margin laba bersih, margin laba kotor, dan laba atas investasi semuanya dianalisis dan dibandingkan dengan rata-rata standar industri. Temuan studi membuktikan penggunaan modal kerja PT Astra International Tbk efektif dalam meningkatkan laba usaha. Efektivitas ini tercermin dari perputaran modal kerja pada tahun 2023, perputaran persediaan, serta rasio profitabilitas seperti NPM, ROI, dan ROE yang ada di atas rata-rata industri. Namun, perusahaan masih perlu meningkatkan perputaran kas dan margin laba kotor untuk mencapai kinerja yang lebih baik. Temuan ini membuktikan penggunaan modal kerja PT Astra International Tbk sudah baik, yang terlihat dari peningkatan laba bersih yang konsisten setiap tahunnya. Implikasinya, perusahaan perlu mengelola modal kerja, kas, dan biaya secara efisien guna meningkatkan profitabilitas. Untuk penelitian selanjutnya disarankan mencakup periode dan sektor industri yang lebih luas agar hasilnya lebih representatif.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis persediaan daging ayam pada pedagang di Pasar Kosambi Karawang. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan populasi sebanyak 14 pedagang daging ayam. Sampel dipilih berdasarkan kesediaan pedagang untuk diwawancarai, yaitu Pak Subagja dan Ibu Neng, yang merupakan pedagang daging ayam broiler. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemasok utama daging ayam berasal dari daerah CKM. Namun, untuk Bu Neng mempunyai lebih dari satu pemasok, seperti dari Subang dan Purwakarta. Pemasok CKM menjadi pemasok utama karena harga murah dan kualitas bagus. Pemasok Subang menjadi alternatif kedua jika stok di pemasok CKM tidak ada, untuk pemasok Purwakarta hanya sesekali melakukan pemesanan disana. Kenaikan harga tertinggi terjadi pada bulan Maret, April, Juni, dengan harga dada ayam Rp 55.000/kg. Permintaan ikut meningkat dengan stok 8-9 kuintal untuk pak subagja sedangkan untuk Bu Neng hanya 2 kuintal. Untuk penurunan harga terjadi pada bulan Oktober dengan harga dada ayam Rp 42.000/kg. Permintaan ikut menurun menjadi 4-5 kuintal untuk Pak Subagja sedangkan untuk Bu Neng 1 kuintal. Pedagang mengelola persediaan dengan menerapkan safety stock dan reorder agar tidak mengalami kehabisan stok. Cara penanganan persediaan dengan menggunakan metode LIFO dengan cara menjual stok lama terlebih dahulu untuk usaha Pak Subagja. Sedangkan untuk usaha Bu Neng menggunakan metode FIFO dengan cara menjual stok baru terlebih dahulu.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perhitungan harga pokok produksi yang telah dilakukan oleh UMKM Sayapku, perhitungan harga pokok produksi menurut metode full costing, dan perhitungan harga pokok dalam menentukan harga jual pada UMKM Sayapku. Dengan menggunakan metode yang digunakan yaitu deskriptif kuantitatif dengan memperoleh data dari hasil observasi dan wawancara dengan pemilik UMKM. tantangan yang dihadapi UMKM Sayapku dalam menentukan harga jual yang tepat, di tengah persaingan pasar fast food yang kompetitif. Fried chicken sebagai produk unggulan memiliki potensi besar, namun perhitungan harga pokok produksi yang tidak mencakup semua komponen biaya menjadi kendala. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa harga pokok produksi dengan menggunakan metode full costing untuk combo 1 yang terdiri dari tiga potong sayap ayam dan satu bungkus nasi naik menjadi Rp. 11.241 dan harga jual perporsi Rp. 15.000 ataupun naik menjadi Rp. 16.000 dengan markup 35%. Metode full costing memberikan hasil yang lebih rinci dengan mencakup semua biaya, termasuk biaya saus BBQ dan depresiasi, yang sebelumnya tidak diperhitungkan. Pendekatan ini membantu UMKM Sayapku menetapkan harga jual yang lebih akurat dan kompetitif, sekaligus mendukung keberlanjutan usaha dan pencapaian laba yang diinginkan. Kesimpulan penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa penerapan metode full costing dan cost-plus pricing efektif untuk meningkatkan akurasi perhitungan harga jual dan laba. Hal ini penting bagi UMKM untuk bersaing di pasar, memastikan keberlanjutan usaha, dan mencapai tujuan bisnis yang lebih efektif.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the effectiveness of working capital utilization in increasing the profits of PT Indofood Sukses Makmur Tbk, a company listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. Secondary data was obtained from the company’s annual financial reports for the period 2020–2024. A quantitative descriptive method was employed. The analysis was conducted by measuring working capital turnover, cash turnover, and inventory turnover, as well as profitability ratios such as gross profit margin, net profit margin, return on investment, and return on equity, which were compared to industry standards. The research findings indicate that PT Indofood Sukses Makmur Tbk’s working capital management is effective in boosting the company’s profits, as evidenced by an inventory turnover ratio of 3.47 times—above the industry standard—as well as profitability ratios of 32.60% for gross profit margin (GPM), 10.37% for net profit margin (NPM), and 11.45% for return on equity (ROE). However, the company still needs to improve its working capital turnover, cash turnover, and ROI to optimize its financial performance. These findings demonstrate that the company’s use of working capital has been effective, as evidenced by the increase in net profit despite a temporary decline in 2020.
