Abstract

Abstract: This study is entitled the ability to read exposition text of class VIII students of Pekanbaru State Junior High School 23. This study aims to find out and describe the ability to read the exposition text of class VIII Pekanbaru State Middle School 23, to find out whether there is a difference in the ability to read the exposition text of class VIII students of SMP Negeri 23 Pekanbaru between classes. This type of research is descriptive-quantitative. The population of this study amounted to 120 people and sample 116. The data of this study were the results of student test answers in working on the test of the ability to read the exposition text of class VIII Pekanbaru State Junior High School 23. The test used is an objective test consisting of four alternative answers. Data were analyzed by quantitative descriptive method through t-test to analyze the level of ability to read the exposition text of class VIII Pekanbaru State Junior High School 23, a one-way ANOVA test to determine the difference in the ability to read the exposition text of class VIII SMP Negeri 23 Pekanbaru between classes. The results of this study were in the form of a test of the ability to read the exposition text of class VIII student SMP Negeri 23 Pekanbaru, which was classified as high with a score of 83%.Key Words: Ability, Reading, Exposition

Abstract

Absrtact: This research aimed to find out the level of ability to write short stories of clas X F students of SMP PGRI 2 Pekanbaru, and to know whether or not there is a difference in writing short stories between male and female students of class X F students of SMP PGRI 2 Pekanbaru. Writing short stories is the ability to express thoughts and feelings into written form of fiction and nonfiction (short story) which contains elements of themes, characters, plot, setting, point of view, style of language and massages that is conveyed to the reader, which is presented in an interesting and suggestive language. The method used in this research is quantitative descriptive method. The data source used was the score of the ability to write short stories of class IX student of SMP PGRI 2 Pekanbaru. The test was conducted by using a nonparametic test, ad using the Mann Whitney test. Based on the test results, it was concluded that the ability to write short stories of class IX F student of SMP PGRI 2 Pekanbaru was classified as moderate and there was no difference in the ability to write short stories between male and female students of class IX Fstudents of SMP PGRI 2 Pekanbaru.Key Words: Short stories, writing skill

Abstract

Abstract : The study aims to describe the form of phatic communication in the Language of Banjar Hulu Indragiri Hilir Regency. This research was qualitative research used descriptive methods. This research was conducted in Indragiri Hilir Regency. The time needed in research uses phatic categories in society. The instrument used in this study were found, obtained and obtained their own data, by using interviews, conversations or discussions, and equipped with supporting tools such as recording equipment, and small notebooks. This study used data collection techniques, namely tapping conversational techniques. The results of the research were as follows; (1) As for the fat form it is divided into 9 particle forms and 2 phytic forms. Forms of particles (bah, jen, kah, leh, nah, nang, pang, ah, am), phatic word categories (ai and bah). (2) the phatic functionsinclude in the Upper Banjar Language state affirmation, rule, question, affirmation, designation.Keywords: Phatic Category, Banjar Hulu language.

Abstract

Abstract : This research is motivated by the lack of variations in approaches and learning methods used by teachers in Indonesian language learning, so that they can be used properly and have a positive impact on learning, the approaches and methods must be tested for their suitability. The purpose of this study is to describe the level of suitability of various scientific approaches and methods towards learning outcomes in learning Indonesian in class XI of SMAN 2 Tebing Tinggi. This research is a qualitative research conducted to obtain data that is in accordance with rational methods. This study has 184 Populations and 122 Samples. In collecting data, this study uses an objective or multiple choice instrument that is tested on the sample after learning with the approaches and learning methods studied. The results of the study when carried out the analysis there is very good compatibility between the scientific approach used with each method of learning applied. The positive results of student learning lie in the ability to achieve KKM scores and meet the class's success standards, which are at least eighty-five percent.Keywords : Conformity, Scientific Approach, Method, Learning Outcomes

Abstract

Abstract: this research is a study about the ability on reading comprehension in Exposition text of the first year students of SMPN 02 Siak Hulu, Kampar. This research aimed to know and describe the ability on reading comprehension in Exposition text of the first year students of SMPN 02 Siak Hulu, Kampar. This research was quantitative descriptive. The data of this research was the results of the reading comprehension in narrative text test (answers) of the first year students of SMPN 02 Siak Hulu, Kampar. The form of the instrument in this research was multiple choices which have four possible answers that related with the ability on reading comprehension in Narrative text of the first year students of SMPN 02 Siak Hulu, Kampar. The data collecting technique was taken by test technique. The total of the population in this research was 139 and determined to 103. The data was analyzed by quantitative. The validity was gotten by the data validation. The result of this research was sighted from the result of reading comprehension test of the first year students of SMPN 02 Siak Hulu, Kampar. Based on the ability on reading comprehension in Narrative text of the first year students of SMPN 02 Siak Hulu, Kampar was in very low category with the average score 44.Key words: Ability, Reading Comprehension, Exposition Text.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThe Mistake of phonemes analysis was aimed at karimun ladies student dormitory. This analysis consisted of the mistake of the change of pronouncing phonemes, the mistake of addition of pronouncing phonemes, and the mistake of omission of pronouncing phonemes. The data analysis technique used is transcription, clarification, data analysis, presentation, and takes the conclusion of the mistake of phonemes. The aim of this research is to describe the mistake of the change, addition and omission of pronouncing phonemes form which dominantly done by the respondents. Based on the research done by the writer, she could conclude that the mistake of phonemes consisted of the mistake of pronouncing phonemes, the mistake of addition of pronouncing phonemes, and the mistake of omission of pronouncing phonemes which dominant from vocal and consonant phonemes form. From the analysis, the indicators of the mistake of phonemes was caused by the language change, low of understanding in bahasa Indonesia, less of teaching in bahasa Indonesia, interferential, uneven, habitual, no prior knowledge, intentional, environment, and imitation of the language which dominant used in public, and there also the components of current (trending language) language used.Key words: analysis, mistake, phonemes, Karimun ladies dormitory.

Abstract

Abstract: Fables are told not only for entertaining purposes, but also as a medium of moral education in which noble values are tucked into, namely the introduction of manners. To analyze a text, there are two aspects, namely the aspect of intrinsic elements and intrinsic elements. The analysis of intrinsic elements of literary works is an analysis of the internal elements that build a literary work. Therefore, in analyzing researchers more leads to the analysis of intrinsic elements. This study aims to describe the level of ability to determine the intrinsic elements of fable texts at Pangkalan Kuras Pelalawan 7th High School Students.In this study, the instruments used to collect data are questions in the form of questionnaires that will be distributed to respondents. Data collection techniques by giving tests to students by asking students to answer test questions given by researchers about test questions consisted of 20 multiple choice questions. Data analysis uses the percentage of right and wrong answers. The results of the analysis show that the ability to determine text themes were low with an average of 68.98. The ability to determine fable text characters were medium with an average of 84.40. The ability to set the background of the fable story text were medium category with an average of 84.62. The ability to determine the flow of fable story text werehigh with an average of 85.79. The ability to determine the point of view of fable story text were high with an average of 86.75. The ability to determine the characterization of fable story texts were medium with an average of 82.41. The ability to determine the mandate of story text fables were medium with an average of 80.72.Key Words: Analyzing Ability, Text Elements, Fable

Abstract

Abstract: Research on the ability to determine the conjunction in compound sentences is a quantitative descriptive study. The reason author examines the use of conjunctions, the first use of conjunctions is very important in oral and written communication, but there are still many people who are wrong and incorrect in using or placing the conjunction in oral and written language. Both of the learning about the use of conjunctions were studied by students of class VIII, research on the ability to determine conjunctions has not been done in Junior High School Budi Dharma Dumai. The focus in this research is, (1) The ability to determine conjunctions in the coordinating sentences of grade VIII students of Junior High School Budi Dharma Dumai, (2) The ability to determine the conjunctions in subordinative sentences of grade VIII students of Junior High School Budi Dharma Dumai, (3) The ability to determine the conjunctions in correlative sentences class VIII students of Junior High School Budi Dharma Dumai. Key Words: Conjunction, Compound Sentence, Coordinative, Subordinative, and Correlative
