Abstract

The city of Makassar is one of the metropolitan cities in Indonesia which has a fairly dense population, because the population is increasing rapidly, so that it has an effect on increasing congestion in the region due to the increasing need for community mobility to support goods distribution needs. social, religious and others. This study aims to find out how the side barriers and the effect of side barriers on the degree of saturation on the left and right lanes of Jalan Tamalanrea Raya Makassar starting from the front of Putra Naga Mas BTP Store to the front of Indomart BTP Blok A 24. The data used are primary and secondary data. , then data processing was carried out with reference to the 2014 Indonesian Road Capacity Guidelines (PKJI). Based on calculations and data analysis for 3 days of observation in the study area, the highest peak traffic flow was above 1300 cur/hour. For the side obstacles that occur during peak hours on the left and right lanes are above the number of 360 incidents so that they can be classified in the medium side obstacle class, the degree of saturation of the left lane and the right lane at peak hours of traffic flow obtains a degree of saturation value of 0.51 on the right lane and 0.48 on the left lane, so it can be said that the side barriers also affect the occurrence of congestion at the location that is used as the study area.

Abstract

The rest of the rice farm such as rice stalks are simply thrown away and not utilized optimally while the availability is very abundant during the harvest season. Based on a study source, it is known that the main component of the cell wall in rice stems contains high silica, which is 70.8% so that this large enough content makes rice stems a potential source of silica to be used in the laston AC-BASE mixture to increase compressive power on asphalt. This research was conducted to find out how the effect of adding rice stem ash to the laston mixture by referring to the provisions of the 2018 Bina Marga. From testing using 5 variations in levels, an increase in flow values, a decrease in VMA and VIM, a significant increase in stability and VFB were obtained. All test results in this study are in accordance with the provisions of Bina Marga.

Abstract

Problems with the quality of asphalt mixtures and large cavities are things that need attention, so further research is carried out by adding coconut fiber added ingredients to the AC-BC mixture, using coconut fiber as an added ingredient in the Asphalt Concrete – Binder Course mixture is expected to improve the quality of the mixture. , because the function of the coconut fiber mixed into the asphalt mixture can improve the quality of the bond between the aggregates and the asphalt so that the performance of the mixture, especially the stability, becomes stronger. The purpose of this study was to test the use of coconut fiber as an additive in the mixture of Asphalt Concrete – Binder Course. The method used is to design variations in coconut fiber fiber content then manufacture mixed Asphalt Concrete – Binder Course specimens and carry out Conventional Marshall tests. The results of Marshall Conventional research obtained a mixture of Asphalt Concrete - Binder Course with coconut fiber content of 0%, 1%, 2%, 3%, 4%, with an asphalt content of 5% fulfilling the 2018 General Highways Specifications. The addition of coconut fiber can improving the performance of the Laston AC-BC mix, causing the voids in the mixture to become smaller and resulting in a strong and stable mix that can withstand traffic loads.

Abstract

Road pavement is an important factor supporting the development of transport infrastructure. The asphalt concrete mixture on the road needs to be reinforced with filler material to increase the strength of the asphalt mixture. Therefore, cheaper alternative filler materials such as rice husk ash can be used in asphalt mixtures. This study aims to understand and determine the characteristics of the AC-BC layer mixture using aggregates from the Pucak River with the substitution of rice husk ash filler. The methodology of this study is designed to determine the utilization of rice husk ash waste as a filling material in an AC - BC layer mixture. The research method used in this study includes testing the specific gravity of rice husk ash filler which is followed by designing the composition of the AC-BC mixture with the substitution of rice husk ash filler then continued with Conventional Marshall testing. The results showed that the test object with a rice husk ash content of 0% - 75% using an asphalt content of 5.00% met the 2018 Bina Marga General Specifications. From the test results, it can be concluded that rice husk ash can be used as a partial substitution of cement filler for AC-BC layers where all the requirements listed in the 2018 Bina Marga General Specification have been met.

Abstract

The road is the most important transportation facility for the community because it greatly influences their daily activities and activities. Roads are transportation infrastructure capable of providing supporting services in the fields of education, trade, employment and others. Damaged roads are caused by several types of causes, namely vehicles carrying too many goods or excessive loads can cause various problems and the resulting damage is very detrimental to road users. The method used is the Pavement Condition Index (PCI) method with 20 segments and a length of 100 m/segment. Pavement Condition Index (PCI) is a method that gives a rating on the level of road damage from 0 to failed roads and 100 to very good conditions. Based on the calculations, the damage was obtained by means of the Pavement Condition Index method of the many road damages. Severe damage was obtained, namely very poor which had a value of 15 and damage that did not have excellent damage with a value of 100. From the research it was found that the damage was quite severe so that the solution to some of the damage had to be repaired for each type of damage level, from observing the value of the PCI method, then the reconstruction of the handle that is needed is with patches and added layers.

Abstract

The population and count of vehicles in Makassar City as the capital city of South Sulawesi Province, continues to increase every year, so that traffic flow increases. For this reason, it must be supported with adequate service facilities, especially on routes that can cause congestion if not handled technically. One example of a signalized intersection where long queues often occur is the Goa Ria intersection in Biringkanaya District, Makassar City Using the 2014 PKJI Method. The research location at the intersection of Jalan Goa Ria, Biringkanaya District is a three-signalized intersection. At this intersection congestion, queues and delays often occur due to heavy traffic, especially during rush hour. Based on the problems above, the signalized intersection on Jalan Goa Ria, Biringkanaya District needs to be reviewed regarding traffic light settings using the PKJI 2014 method as an update from MKJI 1997. The results of the Traffic Light Review at Goa Ria Intersection, Biringkanaya District obtained traffic light settings on The Goa Ria intersection, Biringkanaya District is less effective because based on calculations using the 2014 Indonesia Road Capacity Guidelines it produces different traffic light cycle time values and high queue length and delay values, especially on the north arm. Traffic volume at the Goa Ria intersection, Biringkanaya sub-district occurs during the afternoon peak hours with the volume on the North arm 1182 pcu/hour, East 152.8 pcu/hour, and South 955.8 pcu/hour.
