Abstract

Abstract:This study aims at describing learners’ features of pronunciation in terms of the suprasegmental aspects found in Jokowi’s Specch of Lonjakan kasus Covid-19 dan penerapan PPKM Mikro on 23rdof June 2021. Suprasegmental information applies to several different linguistic phenomena such as pitch, duration, and loudness. Speech not only conveys question word or sentence, but also the meaning behind every utterance phonologically. In this research, the using of the supra-segmental aspect in order to reveal the true meaning and contextual meaning of what Jokowi’s delivered in his speech. The result of this study revealed that phone segment in the text of Jokowi’s speech is divided into two categories such as the form of language and the language features in the speech text. The form of language is related to the form of segment which is divided into three sub-categories such as high intonation segment, moderate intonation segment, and low intonation segment.

Abstract

AbstrakPenduduk lanjut usia merupakan kelompok yang memiliki faktor risiko tinggi untuk mengalami gangguan kesehatan, salah satunya yaitu Diabetes Melitus Tipe 2 (DMT2). Untuk mengatasi kurangnya pemahaman lansia terhadap terkait deteksi dini dan manajemen perawatan diri pada DMT2 maka diadakan kegiatan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat pada hari Sabtu, 5 November 2022 bertempat di Desa Batu Asak,Praya Barat, Lombok Tengah, NTB.Tujuan dari kegiatan ini adalah memberikan informasi dan pemahaman terkait DMT2 dalam upaya meningkatkan kesadaran pentingnya deteksi dini pada lansia dan manajemen perawatan diri DMT2. Sasaran pada kegiatan ini adalah masyarakat usia dewasa dan lansia. Kegiatan ini menggunakan metode fasilitasi melalui edukasi, dialog dan berbagi cerita berdasarkan pengalaman masyarakat serta pemeriksaan kadar gula darah sewaktu. Evaluasi dilakukan dengan metode pretest dan posttest. Kegiatan dihadiri oleh 27 peserta dengan rentang usia 25 tahun – lebih dari 60 tahun. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan nilai rata-rata pretest sebesar 38.00 dan nilai rata-rata untuk post test sebesar 73.00. Kesimpulan dari kegiatan ini yaitu terjadi peningkatan pengetahuan dan kesadaran masyarakat tentang pentingnya deteksi dini dan manajemen perawatan diri DMT2 pada lansia yang ditunjukkan dengan adanya peningkatan persentase nilai evaluasi setelah perlakuan sebesar 92.11%. Kata kunci: diabetes melitus tipe 2; lansia; manajemen perawatan diri Abstract Type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) is one of the health issues that the aged population is particularly susceptible to. At Batu Asak Village, West Praya, Central Lombok, NTB, a community service activity was conducted on Saturday, November 5, 2022, to address the older population's ignorance about early identification and self-care management in type 2 diabetes.This program aims to raise awareness of the significance of early detection in the elderly and self-care management of type 2 diabetes by disseminating information about the disease. This exercise is intended for adults and senior citizens. This activity employs a facilitation approach that includes blood sugar testing, teaching, discussion, and the sharing of anecdotes based on the community's experiences. Pretest and posttest techniques were used for evaluation. Twenty-seven people, ranging in age from 25 to over 60, participated in the exercise. According to the evaluation results, the average pretest score was 38.00, and the average posttest score was 73.00. As evidenced by a 92.11% increase in the percentage of evaluation scores following treatment, the activity concludes that there is a greater level of community knowledge and awareness regarding the significance of early detection and self-care management of type 2 diabetes in the elderly. Keywords: elderly; self-care management; type 2 diabetes mellitus
