Abstract

One of the services developed in library is reference service. This service is a featured product that can give information solution for users. For the vital service, reference librarian is demanded to have an innovation, creation and communication skill, so he can serve to user needs for information. This article dealts with the concept of reference librarian  to  the  development  of  ICT  in  order  to  be  agent  of  reference service being a featured service of library.

Abstract

The publication of books about religion is now increasingly rapid, publishing Islamic books has been going on since the days of the classical and mid-Islamic world, where at that time science grew rapidly to enter developing countries such as Indonesia. The purpose of this article is to explore the historical history of the development of Islamic book publishing in Indonesia. The method used is library research. The development of Islamic literature in Indonesia began to boom around the 1970s. Many Islamic publications born at that time such as PT. Bulan Bintang, Gema Insani Press, PT. Al-Ma?arif, PT. Mizan Library and so on. In terms of appearance, the Islamic-themed books of the 1970s appeared to be classical in style, using newspaper and display tended to be less attractive, while publications after the 1980s appeared different because the books published looked more advanced, both in terms of their substance content, presentation style, as well as artistic. The conclusion is that Islamic education and publishers engaged in publishing Islamic books must have a strong bond in terms of the collaboration between the two countries, especially about the procurement of Islamic books needed by the community.

Abstract

Pandemi Covid-19 sangat berdampak pada semua sektor termasuk pendidikan. Saat ini aktivitas pembelajaran mengalami perubahan dari interaksi kelas menjadi interaksi virtual. Pembelajaran di rumah membuat pelajar memiliki ruang gerak terbatas baik dari sisi komunikasi dengan pengajar dan akses ke perpustakaan menjadi terhambat. Kajian ini bertujuan untuk mengamati urgensi buku digital ditengah dampak pandemi yang dirasakan di dunia pendidikan. Metode yang digunakan adalah dengan melakukan tinjauan litetarur sesuai dengan pokok masalah yang dikaji. Dari kajian ini dikemukakan jika memang buku digital menjadi salah satu opsi yang dapat dibuat oleh sekolah dan perpustakaan. Walaupun demikian opsi ini hanya alternatif karena pengembangan buku digital membutuhkan dukungan anggaran yang besar dan sumber daya yang mewadai, oleh karena itu ada beberapa opsi lain yang dapat dilakukan sesuai kebijakan sekolah seperti layanan antar online dan layanan informasi tautan.

Abstract

Background of the study: High school-level school libraries in the city of Surabaya have begun to develop services and facilities, one of which is by building a library automation system. Problems arise about the orientation of the development carried out whether it aims to build benefits or only to meet the needs of the library. Purpose: The purpose of this study is to describe the implementation of the library automation system development that has been carried out by senior high schools in the city of Surabaya Method: The method used in this research is a quantitative approach focusing on the type of descriptive quantitative. The study used a sample of 60 respondents taken from a specified population of 266 high school library managers. The sampling technique used snowball sampling, then data collection using a questionnaire distributed via google form over three weeks. Findings: all variables used gave positive results because the value of the mode generated from each variable showed an answer which could mean that the respondents agreed with the variables that supported the implementation of the high school library automation system in Surabaya. Conclusion: This study resulted in the finding that the library manager has carried out the implementation because of the benefits generated by the library automation system.

Abstract

This study aims to explain technostress disturbances in librarians due to technological developments in libraries that are too dynamic, as well as other challenges in the form of librarian readiness in facing the times. This study also uses the literature study method by reviewing relevant literature sources such as books, printed scientific journals, and electronic versions, as well as selected online information sources. The results of this study explain that technostress disturbances in librarians can be seen from five dimensions, namely techno-overload, techno-investment, techno-complexity, techno-insecurity, and techno-uncertainty. Technological developments in the library can be seen in the new challenges for librarians who require new skills in the field of technology, among others; integrated library systems, emerging web technology, electronic resource management, web page development, institutional repositories, and database management. The benefit of this study is librarians need to regulate the rhythm of work by increasing competence in the field of information technology and addressing the development of information technology wisely as an opportunity to improve the quality of library services in the future.

Abstract

Industrialization 4.0 brought many changes to the community, especially in terms of sustainable internet usage. Data literacy arises because of the large amount of data and information spread on the internet. This objective study to provide knowledge about data literacy in coastal society, another purpose is to explain the challenges that arise as a result of the birth industrialization 4.0 which certainly also felt by the coastal community. This methodology uses a literature review approach. Data collection techniques are carried out through studies of reference sources that are used as references. This study discussion is that data literacy in coastal society is devoted to basic knowledge in protecting personal data when conducting activities using the internet. Public-private data that needs to be kept secret include; identity number, account number, full name, telephone number, password, address, and others. While the challenges faced by coastal society in the industrialization 4.0 cover many aspects, three main challenges can be felt directly by coastal society such as big data, internet objects, and robotization.Keyword: coastal communities; data literacy; industrialization 4.0; information technologyABSTRAKIndustrialisasi 4.0 membawa banyak perubahan bagi masyarakat terutama dalam hal pemanfaatan internet secara terus-menerus. Literasi data muncul karena banyaknya data dan informasi yang tersebar di internet. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pengetahuan mengenai literasi data pada masyarakat pesisir, tujuan lain adalah untuk menjelaskan tantangan yang muncul akibat dari lahirnya era industrialisasi 4.0 yang pastinya dirasakan juga oleh masyarakat pesisir (nelayan). Metodologi menggunakan pendekatan riset pustaka. Proses pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan cara telaah terhadap sumber referensi yang digunakan sebagai rujukan. Kajian ini menghasilkan pembahasan bahwa literasi data pada masyarakat pesisir dikhususkan pada pengetahuan dasar dalam menjaga data pribadi pada saat melakukan aktifitas menggunakan internet. Data pribadi masyarakat yang perlu dijaga kerahasiaannya meliputi: nomor identitas, nomor rekening, nama lengkap, nomor telepon, password, alamat tinggal dan sebagainya. Sedangkan tantangan yang dihadapi masyarakat pesisir di era industrialisasi 4.0 meliputi banyak aspek, namun terdapat tiga tantangan utama yang dapat dirasakan secara langsung oleh masyarakat pesisir seperti big data, internet of thing dan robotization.
