Abstract

Etnopedagogi merupakan praktik pendidikan berbasis kearifan lokal dan bersumber dari nilai-nilai kultural suatu etnis dan menjadi standar perilaku. Sebagaimana kelompok-kelompok budaya pedalaman Papua lainnya, umumnya tingkat pendidikan (formal) dan kesadaran untuk menimba ilmu kelompok budaya Dani masih rendah. Oleh karena itu, pengkajian mendalam mengenai kelompok budaya Dani perlu dilakukan untuk mengungkap kearifan lokal atau nilai pendidikan yang ada dalam kelompok budaya ini (indigenous science) yang diharapkan dapat diintegrasikan dalam pembelajaran. Hal ini merupakan salah satu upaya untuk menciptakan perubahan positif di masyarakat setempat betapa pentingnya pendidikan untuk kemajuan peradaban dan tingkat kesejahteraan hidup manusia. Hasil kajian literatur menunjukkan bahwa nilai-nilai yang terdapat dalam kearifan lokal kelompok budaya Dani antara lain masyarakat Dani hidup dalam kebersamaan yang dipimpin oleh seorang pemimpin adat. Orang Dani memandang dunia mereka sebagai suatu “alam semesta yang hidup” yang harus diperlakukan dengan rasa hormat yang besar. Orang Dani selain menjunjung tinggi kebersamaan, juga menjunjung tinggi gotong-royong, saling membantu dan rasa kekerabatan yang tinggi yang terlihat pada kegiatan bakar batu dan peristiwa potong jari. Kelompok budaya Dani memanfaatkan lingkungan alamnya untuk keberlangsungan hidupnya dengan mengelompokkan tanam-tanaman sesuai dengan kegunaannya. Banyak istilah (pelebelan) yang digunakan masyarakat Dani untuk merujuk pada tumbuhan maka semakin menunjukkan nilai penting tumbuhan tersebut bagi masyarakat setempat sekaligus memperlihatkan adanya penekanan budaya pada area tersebut. Masyarakat Dani memiliki kesadaran untuk menjaga keseimbangan alam yaitu usaha untuk konservasi tanah kebun di lereng bukit yang memang sensitif terhadap erosi dan longsor. Terdapat pula pengetahuan masyarakat setempat (indigenous science) yang memanfaatkan tumbuhan sebagi bahan obat misalnya buah merah dan sayur lilin. Akhirnya, melalui kajian ini, diharapkan dapat memberi masukan bagi pendidik maupun pemerintah daerah di kabupaten Wamena dan sekitarnya untuk dapat meningkatkan kualitas hidup masyarakat Dani dengan mengangkat nilai-nilai positif yang sudah dibangun dan diwariskan secara turun-temurun di dalam kelompok budaya ini.Kata Kunci— Kearifan Lokal, Kelompok Budaya Dani, Lembah Baliem, Papua

Abstract

N-hexane and methanol systen is one example of a binary system that shows the solubility properties of reciprocity. This study aimed to assess the mental model of a n-hexane-methanolbinary system. Interaction at the submicroscopic level between n-hexane and methanol molecules is described in the form of mental model. Penelitian ini menggunakan cloud point method untuk memperoleh data kesetimbangan cair-cair sistem n-heksana-metanol. This study used a cloud point method to obtain data on liquid-liquid equilibrium on the system of n-hexane-methanol. Research data showed the maximum critical temperature (above the consolute temperature) of this system was at 42.95 °C with Xmethanol = 0.475 (P= 715 mmHg). Data from the laboratory observations was representedas a symbolic level in the form of the curve of correlation between mole fraction of methanol with temperature in a phase diagram system of n-hexane-methanol. The curve that was formed was asymmetric. It indicated that the solubility of n-hexane in methanol was relatively small compared to the solubility of methanol in n-hexane. Mental model of the binary system of n-hexane-methanol in four curve areasin the form of visualization of the interaction between n-hexane and methanol molecules through London force. In thermodynamics, each component had the same chemical potential inboth phases at equilibrium state. This study results could have a contribution to form a mental model on the student as the prospective chemistry subject teachers.

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to determine how to create, develop and feasibility of STEM-based thermodynamics e-modules integrated with problem solving in improving critical thinking skills and learning outcomes of class XI students of SMA YPK Bintuni. The research method is research and development (R&D) by adopting five stages of the ADDIE model (analyze, design, develop, implement and evaluate). The instruments used in the study were e-module feasibility test sheets, learning outcome tests and critical thinking ability test results for the trial use of e-modules. E-modules were analyzed empirically using the SPSS version 20 application. The developed e-modules have been validated using a Likert scale on aspects of content feasibility, language feasibility and presentation feasibility. The sampling technique was purposive sampling, with a research sample of class XI IPA SMA YPK Bintuni with a total of 20 people. The results showed that the developed STEM-based Thermodynamics e-module integrated with problem solving was very feasible to be used in learning with an average validator assessment of 90%. The Thermodynamics e-module is practical to use and effective in improving critical thinking skills and student learning outcomes, obtaining n-Gain of 0.53 in the medium category and 0.71 in the high category respectively.   Keywords:   E-module, Thermodynamics, critical thinking skills, problem solving, STEM.             Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui cara membuat, mengembangkan dan kelayakan e-modul termodinamika berbasis STEM terintegrasi problem solving dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis dan hasil belajar peserta didik kelas XI SMA YPK Bintuni. Metode penelitian ini adalah research and devolopment (R&D) dengan mengadopsi lima tahapan model ADDIE (analyze, design, devolopmnet, implemention dan evaluation). Instrumen yang digunakan pada penelitian adalah lembar uji kelayakan e-modul, tes hasil belajar dan tes hasil kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik untuk uji coba penggunaan e-modul. E-modul dianalisis secara empirik menggunakan aplikasi SPSS versi 20. E-modul yang dikembangkan telah divalidasi menggunakan skala likert pada aspek kelayakan isi, kelayakan bahasa dan kelayakan penyajian.  Teknik pengambilan sampel adalah purposive sampling, dengan sampel penelitian kelas XI IPA SMA YPK Bintuni dengan jumlah 20 orang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa e-modul Termodinamika berbasis STEM terintegrasi problem solving yang dikembangkan sangat layak untuk digunakan dalam pembelajaran dengan rata-rata penilaian validator sebesar 90%. E-modul Termodinamika tersebut praktis digunakan, dan efektif untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis dan hasil belajar peserta didik memperoleh n-Gain masing-masing 0,53 kategori sedang dan 0,71 kategori tinggi.   Kata kunci: E-modul, Termodinamika, kemampuan berpikir kritis, problem solving, STEM

Abstract

The local wisdom of the indigenous people of the Byak tribe of Kampung Yendidori in utilizing the leaves of red hibiscus (the local name of the leaves "Penbrike") as an herb for mothers after childbirth shows rich empirical knowledge and is relevant to modern chemical concepts. This research aims to integrate an ethnographic perspective based on a mental model in describing the cultural significance of this practice and explaining the content of active compounds in these plants through macroscopic, submicroscopic, and symbolic level approaches. This type of research is qualitative with an ethnographic approach based on mental models. The results obtained show the sacredness of the use of "Penbrike" leaves. The community believes that treatment is effective if it is carried out by the clan or the person appointed to inherit its use. The results of a literature review show that the main content in its leaves is alkaloids, tannins, flavonoids, steroids, saponins, phenols, proanthocyanidins. The active compounds in this plant function as powerful antioxidants that help reduce oxidative stress and postpartum inflammation, some accelerate hemostasis and wound recovery, and some provide vasoconstriction and protein binding effects and help stop bleeding. However, based on the results of other literature reviews, it was found that hibiscus leaves contain anti-fertility compounds, so further research is needed. These studies can serve as a basis for the development of ethnoscience-based chemistry learning models and further research on ethnopharmaceuticals.
