Abstract

As a product of information technology, cyberspace has brought about radical changes in all aspect of humanity, including those aspects of spirituality and religiosity. Notwithstanding of some benefits for spirituality, cyberspace has in fact been resulting in some spiritual paradoxes. Cyberspace has paradoxically functioned either as a religious communication medium or as a religion itself; either as a channel of spiritual energy or as a spirituality itself. Indeed, cyberspace is full of spiritual paradoxes: reality versus fantasy, body versus soul, and God versus man.

Abstract

Building a paradigm on Islamic communication does not actually have to start from the scratch. Synthesis heavy foundation can be use the existing communication theories, but the more important for Muslim scholars is to create a new synthesis through meta-theories aspects which include epistemology, ontology and perspectives. Settling on the aspects of the value and ethics dimensions must be able to collaborate with monotheism and responsibilities hereafter. Islamic communication functions is to realize the meaning of the equation, thus there will be changes in attitude or behavior of the Muslim societies. While the ultimate goal of Islam is the point which stressed on the aspect communicant, not the communicator. In the aspect of social change and community development, communication tends to be positivistic and functionally oriented to the individual, instead the social system and sociocultural functions that are critical to stimulate social changes. Quality of communication regarding the values of truth, simplicity, kindness, honesty, integrity, fairness, validity of the message and sources, are the important aspect in the Islamic  communication. Therefore, in this perspective, communication is established to joint Islamic Triangular Relationship between "God, man and society".

Abstract

This article will examine the practice of clickbait journalism, which is increasingly common in news titles in online media, through the lens of Altheide and Snow's media logic. Due to social distancing policies during the pandemic, this article employs the library research method by collecting materials and references online by observing several clickbait news titles on Tribunnews.com. Trends can be identified based on data analysis, such as exaggeration, graphics or titles containing obscene, disturbing/disgusting, or shady material, bait-and-switch, and ambiguous or confusing and tend to grab readers' interest. Nevertheless, although this practice has been criticized as a mere business, this article argues that this practice does not always represent the poor credibility of online media since this practice is not only caused by the technical logic of online media but also caused by the changing behavior of the readers which is more increasingly digitalized.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the construction of an ustadz (Moslem teacher) in the religious drama series (sinetron) 'Bismillah Cinta'. The research is focussed on exploring the desacralization aspect related to the commodification of the ustadz character shown in 'Bismillah Cinta' drama series. The researchers used qualitative research method with the semiotic approach of Charles Sanders Pierce. There are 5 scenes that have been selected based on the criteria of the desacralization in the ustadz character. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation and documentation. The results showed that the commodification of the ustadz character in the drama series of 'Bismillah Cinta' did not reflect an ustadz who hold the role in keeping peaceful and harmony with the religious messages.

Abstract

Prilaku insecure harus segera ditangani sebab akan menjadi faktor pemicu terhambatnya proses optimalisasi perkembangan berbagai potensi yang dimiliki remaja. Banyak sekali ragam konseling yang dapat digunakan salah satunya yaitu menggunakan komunikasi konseling islam. Maka dari itu, penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui seberapa besar pengaruh komunikasi konseling islam terhadap insecure pada anggota ekstrakulikuler IRMA SMA Negeri 1 Talaga. Metode penelitian ini yaitu menggunakan metode Kuantitatif dengan pendekatan survey. Sampel yang digunakan yaitu sebanyak 102 Siswa dengan mengunakan purposive sampling yang merupakan anggota IRMA SMA Negeri 1 Talaga teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu lembar observasi, dokumentasi serta kusioner. Analisis data yang digunakan yaitu dengan menggunakan uji validitas, realibilitas serta uji korelasi dengan menggunakan SPSS 29.00 agar seberapa besar pengaruh komunikasi islam terhadap prilaku incecure dapat terukur dengan akurat. Adapun hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan antara komunikasi konseling Islami terhadap insecure. Hal ini berarti bahwa komunikasi konseling Islami terbukti efektif dalam membantu mengurangi insecure. Penelitian ini menemukan bahwa 83.6% insecure pada anggota ekstrakulikuler IRMA SMA Negeri 1 Talaga dapat dijelaskan oleh variabel komunikasi konseling Islami, sedangkan 16.4% lainnya dijelaskan oleh faktor lain yang tidak diteliti. Sera dari hasil uji korelasi yaitu meperoleh hasil sig 0,00 < 0,05 yang berarti bahwa Komunikasi Konseling Islami terbukti efektif dalam membantu mengurangi Insecure. Hasil penelitian ini sejalan dengan penelitian sebelumnya yang menunjukkan bahwa komunikasi yang baik dan empati dapat membantu konseli dalam mengatasi masalahnya. Komunikasi konseling Islami, dengan prinsip-prinsip Islamnya, dapat menjadi alat yang efektif dalam membantu remaja mengatasi insecure.

Abstract

Islamic counseling plays an essential role in fostering an individual's self-confidence by combining Islamic principles and psychological approaches. This study examines how Quranic verses related to motivation can be applied in counseling to enhance self-confidence, using a therapeutic communication approach. The aim of this study is to demonstrate how Islamic values, such as tawakkul (trust in God), patience, and optimism, can strengthen one's confidence in facing life challenges. Through therapeutic communication based on both spiritual and psychological understanding, counselors can assist individuals in identifying their potential, reducing anxiety, and building stronger intrinsic motivation. Quranic verses teaching the importance of effort and tawakkul provide a profound framework in the counseling process, where individuals are encouraged to believe that every effort made with sincerity and confidence will lead to good results. The findings of this study show that a therapeutic communication approach that integrates Islamic values can significantly enhance an individual's self-confidence and offer practical solutions to psychological issues. Therefore, applying Islamic principles in counseling is highly effective in helping individuals achieve both psychological and spiritual well-being. Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pesan inspiratif yang terkandung dalam sebelas foto yang terhimpun dalam foto essay berjudul “Melihat Kegigihan Pesepak Bola Difabel di Bandung: Mengejar Mimpi, Menanti Janji” dengan cara observasi menggunakan kajian ilmu analisis semiotika yang dikemukakan oleh Charles Sanders Peirce melalui konsep segitiga makna (triangle of meaning). Dari hasil penelitian ini diketahui bahwa rangkaian foto essay yang menjadi objek penelitian skripsi ini mengandung pesan inspiratif, hal ini diketahui setelah dilakukan analisis dengan menggunakan teori triangle of meaning yang digagas oleh Charles Sanders Peirce. Pada tahap sign, peneliti menemukan tanda seperti warna-warna, makhluk hidup, benda-benda mati, dan kegiatan manusia. Lalu pada tahap object, warna yang menyimbolkan sebuah rasa, aktivitas manusia, benda-benda yang digunakan sehari-hari, dan tempat untuk melakukan aktivitas. Setelah itu pada tahap terakhir interpretant, penelitian menemukan pesan yang disimpulkan sebagai pesan inspiratif yakni memiliki keterbatasan fisik bukan alasan untuk menjadi manusia lemah dan tidak berguna, percaya diri dan motivasi tinggi menjadi modal awal untuk mewujudkan mimpi, seberat apapun cobaan yang menimpa harus dihadapi dengan ketulusan hati bukan disesali, dan menyadari bahwa manusia memiliki kesempatan yang sama untuk mewujudkan mimpi dan memiliki potensi diri.

Abstract

Every married couple would want to have a golden marriage that lasts happily ever after. There were 15 elderly couples who had entered a golden marriage being interviewed. This research was conducted at 2 regions (Bandung and Subang) in West Java. We used qualitative method with phenomenology approach.  Data collecting was done through interview and observation.  The results found that these elderly couples communicate in different ways to maintain their romances.  They keep on their commitment in supporting the couple hobbies, being honest, doing nonverbal communication of romantic movement/gestures, saying thanks, and giving forgiveness sincerely. The model proposed on this research findings are being commitment, forgiveness, honesty, thanking, romance action and marriage as worship. These communication model that the elderly spouses applied in their daily life doesn’t seem smooth as it is.  They always give the opportunity of each other to improve themselves better for the sake of long-lasting marriage.  These elderly couples realized about their imperfectness and keep learning all the time to be mature couple.  As they have matured mind, every barrier in the marriage will always solve wisely and happily by the couple. These family communication pattern have finally formed the long lasting marital harmony of romantic relationship between the elderly couple to create honor and trust.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagai mana strategi, eksplorasi rubrikasi dan pemilihan topik serta potensi pada akun Instagram @radarbandung.id dalam memanfaatkan platform media sosial tersebut sebagai media alternatif dalam penyampaian berita terkini. Adapun Teori yang digunakan adalah teori media richness theory yang di perkenalkan oleh Ricard L. Draft dan Roberth H. Lengel. Dalam teori ini dijelaskan bagaimana sebuah media memenuhi empat kriteria indikator media yaitu kesegeraan, keragaman isyarat, variasi Bahasa dan sumber personal. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa Radar Bandung memanfaatkan Instagram sebagai media alternatif dengan fitur seperti Reels, Feeds, Stories, dan IGTV untuk menyajikan informasi dinamis dan mengikuti tren. Strategi ini sesuai dengan Media Richness Theory, yang menyebutkan bahwa media kaya elemen visual dan interaktif lebih efektif dalam menyampaikan pesan. Melalui Instagram, Radar Bandung meningkatkan keterlibatan audiens dan hubungan dengan pengikut. Konten disajikan ringkas menggunakan format 5W+1H, dengan topik relevan yang fleksibel setiap hari. Instagram juga membuka peluang untuk memperkuat brand awareness, meningkatkan loyalitas pembaca, serta mendukung komersialisasi melalui endorsement dan iklan.
