Abstract

The agricultural sector in an agrarian country, especially Indonesia, has an important role, where most of the population is very dependent on the primary sector, especially the agricultural sector. The existence of the agricultural sector is important for the development of a country or region because of its large contribution or role, especially in providing food needs, industrial raw material needs, contributing to foreign exchange, plays a major role in employment absorption, and can also affect increasing people's income. The aim of this study was to determine the role and contribution of the agricultural sector to economic growth in Tulang Bawang Regency. The research method used in this study was descriptive quantitative with a literature approach. The data sources used were secondary data from BPS Tulang Bawang and Lampung Province. The agricultural sector is a source of livelihood for the wider community in an agrarian country like Indonesia and is a sector that greatly contributes and plays an important role in the regional and national economy. The potential of the agricultural sector owned by the regions needs to be utilized properly by focusing on the agricultural sector through optimizing regional superior commodities. Therefore, the agricultural sector really needs to be developed as a leading sector in order to improve the regional economy.

Abstract

The distribution of zakat, infaq and alms (ZIS) funds is expected to make a positive contribution to economic growth in a region. This study aims to examine the effect of the distribution of ZIS funds on economic growth in Lampung province. The results of the analysis show that the distribution of ZIS funds has a positive and significant effect on economic growth in Lampung province. In particular, zakat and infaq/edekah funds have a positive and significant effect on economic growth, while zakat fitrah has no significant effect. In addition, this study also found that other factors such as population growth, investment, and local government expenditure also have a significant effect on economic growth in Lampung province. the distribution of ZIS funds can make a positive contribution to economic growth in Lampung province. Therefore, efforts are needed to increase public awareness and participation in the distribution of ZIS funds so that the potential contribution of ZIS to economic growth can be maximized.

Abstract

Economic growth is an increase in the value and amount of production of goods and services calculated by a country in a certain period of time based on several indicators, for example, an increase in national income, per capita income, a workforce that is greater than the number of unemployed, as well as a reduced poverty rate. Distribution is a marketing activity in order to facilitate the delivery of products from the hands of producers to consumers, while distribution policies are rules made within the scope of industry.
