Abstract

Pain is a global health issue. It is estimated that every year 20% of the world's population experiences pain and half of this is chronic pain. In Indonesia there has been no large-scale research discussing the prevalence and quality of all types of pain. Indonesia also does not yet have practical parameters for assessing pain, patient comfort levels, and the effect of pain on the quality of life of the Indonesian people. This Community Service (PKM) seeks to provide training and raise information about pain treatment in one of the districts of Bukittinggi, West Sumatera, through socializing and outreach to the community. The strategy employed in this PKM includes counseling about pain management in the community and how to handle it. This PKM obtained an increase in the knowledge and skill of community members in controlling their pain. According to the findings of monitoring and analyzing PKM activities, the community health service was ready to improve people's pain management strategies. It is believed that this activity will be beneficial in enhancing the knowledge and experience of pain management that may be used in the community health service by individuals and their families, particularly in non-pharmacological approaches as complementary pain management nursing.

Abstract

Postoperative pain is the body’s reaction to tissue damage (ranging from skin incisions to damage from surgery), stretching or tightening of internal organs, and diseases (eg cancer, spinal diseases, etc). There are several pain management options in the PASHA (Pain Assessment, Stimulating and Healing Application) application to reduce the pain scale felt by patients, one of which is hypnocommunication. The purpose of this study was to find out how effective hypnocommunication on reducing pain of postoperative patients. This study used a quasy experimental design with a one-group pre-test and post-test approach by measuring the pain scale using the NRS (Numeric Rating Scales). The sample of this study was 30 postoperative patients in the surgical room who were selected by purposive sampling with several inclusion criteria.. The intervention was carried out using the PASHA application and the patient was listened hypnocommunication therapy for 15 minutes in 2 consecutive days The data were collected through computerization by using an dependent t-test. The results of the study showed that the average respondent’s pain intensity before being given hypnocommunication was 5.167 (moderate pain) and the average repondent’s pain intensity after being given hypnocommunication was 4, 00 (moderate pain). It can be conclude there was a significant effect of providing hypnocommunication based on the PASHA application in reducing postoperative patient pain (p value = 0.001). It is recommended to nurses especially in treating pain of postoperative patients by applying hypnocommunication as a non pharmacological pain therapy

The instrument in this study uses an adapted questionnaire from the Nursing Outcomes Classification (NOC) to measure both variables. Data were analyzed using Pearson correlation. The results of this study obtained p-value 0.000 (α=0.005), where it can be said that there is a significant relationship between knowledge of pain management and pain control in cancer patients. This research showed that the higher the knowledge, the better the pain control for cancer patients. Cancer patients need a lot of support from both health workers and family as caregivers in caring for patients when experiencing pain. This research can be a guide to paying more attention to the pain felt by cancer patients. It is also hoped that more education regarding non-pharmacological pain management will be carried out to improve pain control and pain management in order to improve the quality of life among cancer patients. Abstract

The lack of complete documentation of nursing care (58%) affects the achievement of quality health care in hospitals. Seeing the benefits and importance of documenting nursing, it is necessary to have control over the documentation of nursing care carried out by nurses, namely by the existence of supervision activities. The purpose of the study was to improve the completeness of nursing care documentation through supervision in a Non-Surgical Room. This study used a pre-experimental design with a design (One-Group Pretest-Posttest design). The sampling technique used purposive sampling as many as 15 nurses. Data was analyzed using Paired T-Ttest with a value of p = 0.00. The results showed that the average completeness of nursing care documentation before supervision was 70.27%. The average completeness of nursing care documentation after supervision of 82.27%. There is a significant effect of supervision on the completeness of nursing care documentation with a mean value of -12,000 and p = 0.00. The conclusions from the study indicate the influence of completeness of nursing care documentation before and after supervision. It is recommended that the head of the room make effective the supervision of the room by making a schedule of routine supervision of the head of the room known to managerial nursing. Keywords:  supevision, documentation of nursing care

Abstract

Background: One of the government's efforts to reduce learning loss (low learning motivation) in students due to the Covid-19 pandemic is to conduct limited face-to-face learning (PTMT), with the condition that all school equipment has been vaccinated. Especially when the spread of the Covid-19 virus is increasingly massive and easy to attack children. Children's rights must still be given, but still prioritize the health and safety of children. Therefore, the provision of vaccines is not only applied to teaching staff, but must also be given to students, especially school-age children. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of vaccination on student motivation in one of the SD Negeri Bukittinggi. Methods: This study uses a quasi-experimental method with a one group pre-test-post-test only approach. This study was conducted on 53 elementary school students who participated in vaccination using a questionnaire adapted from Natun (2019). Results: The results showed that there was a significant effect of vaccination on the learning motivation of elementary school students (p.value 0.006). Conclusion: It is hoped that teachers and parents can jointly motivate children to take vaccinations. And through this research, it is expected to add concrete data in the morning for health workers and related communities that vaccination does not reduce the learning motivation of school-age students.
