Abstract

Early childhood education institutions are expected to provide optimal opportunities forchildren to access mathematical ideas and concepts include algebra. Existing researchshows the challenges in learning mathematics for children, especially algebra, one of whichis the competence of educators related to mastery skills and knowledge of the material inteaching. This research uses a survey research type by using a questionnaire as a datacollection tool. Questionnaires are used to obtain data related to a brief description of theunderstanding and application of teacher algebra learning at the Kindergarten level groupB. The findings from a sample of 33 respondents reported; 1) educators' self-understandingabout algebra learning, 42% of respondents are still not sure what algebraic materialcoverage needs to be taught, 39% of respondents stated that they know the scope ofalgebraic material that needs to be taught. 2) Teachers' teaching skills and abilities, 45%of respondents are able and frequently teach algebra material even though the practicedoes not cover all materials.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the correlation of secure attachment with self-adjustment and language disclosure ability in children aged 5-6 years (Group B) in Pertiwi Jurangombo Kindergarten, South Magelang District. The resource method is correlational research of 3 (three) variables. The sampling technique uses purposive sampling with research subjects are 22 children aged 5-6 years (Group B) in Pertiwi Jurangombo Kindergarten, South Magelang District. The methods of data completion using by the open questionnaire of parental-secure attachment, a self-adjustment observation sheet, a language disclosure observation sheet, teacher and parent's interview sheet. The instrument validity test by IBM SPSS Statistics 24 with Pearson Correlation analysis, while the reliability using the Cronbach Alpha coefficient. The data analysis test by using Kendall's Tau-b Correlation Test. The results show a correlation between secure attachment with children's self-adjustment ability and language disclosure. The result of Kendall's Tau-b (T) coefficient is 0.167, that below the limit of 0.5. It shows a weak correlation in which secure attachment contributes 16,7 % to the ability of self-adjustment and language disclosure. On the other hand, 83.3% were influenced by other factors.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk memberikan gambaran tentang hubungan antara motorik kasar, motorik halus dan IMT. Jenis penelitian ini adalah korelasional. Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner motorik kasar dan motorik halus Ages & Stages Questioner (ASQ). Sampel penelitian yang digunakan sebanyak 50 anak usia 4-5 tahun. Teknik analisis data Spearman’s rho. Hasil yang diperoleh dari analisis data yang telah dilakukan adalah 1) kemampuan motorik kasar anak sebanyak 85% pada anak perempuan dan 83% anak laki-laki masuk pada kriteria sesuai dengan tahapan perkembangan anak, dan sisanya perlu diberi stimulasi agar perkembangan mencapai tahapannya dan perlu dilakukan pemantauan, 2) kemampuan motorik halus anak sebanyak 4% masuk pada kriteria perlu dilakukan penilaian ulang oleh professional dan sebanyak 96% kemampuan motorik halus anak sudah sesuai dengan tahap perkembangannya, 3) tidak ada hubungan antara IMT, motorik kasar dan motorik halus, namun ada hubungan antara motorik kasar dengan motorik halus anak usia 4-5 tahun.

Abstract

The study aims to examine the effect of relay storytelling activities on the receptive language skills of children aged 5-6 years at RA Ulumuddin Ngargosoko. Kaliangkrik District, Magelang Regency. This research employed a quantitative approach with a one-group pretest–posttest experimental design. The subjects were 30 children from Group B (5-6 years), selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected using an observation sheet and analyzed using parametric statistics with the Paired Sample t-test method. The statistical test results showed an increase in the average receptive language score from 11.29 (pretest) to 15.39 (posttest). The hypothesis test using the Paired Sample t-test yielded a t-value of –10.353 with a significance level of 0.000, indicating that relay storytelling activities had a significant effect on the receptive language skills of children aged 5–6 years.
