Abstract

Penelitian tentang Analisis komparatif performan produksi sapi pesisir yang dipelihara pada BPTU Padang Mengatas dengan di Kecamatan Lengayang bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbandingan performan produksi sapi pesisir yang dipelihara pada BPTU Padang Mengatas dengan di Kecamatan Lengayang Kab. Pesisir Selatan. Penelitian dilakukan dengan metode survei dan dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa Rata - rata panjang badan sapi pesisir jantan di kecamatan Lengayang umur 12-24 bulan 87,7 cm ; betina 12-24 bulan 88,3 cm; betina umur 36-48 bulan 86,6 cm; Rata - rata panjang badan sapi pesisir jantan di Padang Mengatas umur 12-24 bulan 100,2 cm ; betina 12-24 bulan 100,9 cm; betina umur 36-48 bulan 103,4 cm; Rata - rata Lingkar dada sapi pesisir jantan di kecamatan Lengayang umur 12-24 bulan 102,2 cm ; betina 12-24 bulan 108,6 cm; betina umur 36-48 bulan 116,8 cm; Rata - rata Lingkar dada sapi pesisir jantan di padang mengatas umur 12-24 bulan 133,1 cm ; betina 12-24 bulan 120,7 cm; betina umur 36-48 bulan 143,9 cm; Rata - rata tinggi pundak sapi pesisir jantan di kecamatan Lengayang umur 12-24 bulan 89 cm ; betina 12-24 bulan ,91cm; betina umur 36-48 bulan 96,9 cm; Rata - rata tinggi pundak sapi pesisir jantan di padang mengatas umur 12-24 bulan 100,1 cm ; betina 12-24 bulan 100,7cm; betina umur 36-48 bulan109,8 cm; Kesimpilan : Performan produksi sapi Pesisir yang dipelihara dengan pola intensif (padang pengembalaan) di BPTU Padang Mengatas lebih baik dibanding dengan sistem umbar (tradisional) di kecamatan Lengayang

Abstract

Indonesia has a diverse genetic resource potential for national beef cattle, which is utilized as a source of meat, labor, energy, and fertilizer. The challenges in developing the beef cattle industry in Indonesia are not only limited to the relatively low population but also the lack of optimization in utilizing the existing cattle potential. The objective of this study is to determine the percentage of technical aspects applied by farmers in beef cattle management in the Former Transmigration Area of SKP. A, Rokan Hulu Regency. The research was conducted from August to September 2024 at the Department of Animal Husbandry and Plantation (DISNAKBUN) of Rokan Hulu and the Former Transmigration Area of SKP. A. This study employs a descriptive method, with data collected through questionnaires, interviews, and observations to fulfill the technical analysis data. The research population consisted of 3,258 cattle in 2023, with a sample of 25 respondents. Based on a survey of 25 farmers in the Former Transmigration Area of SKP. A, the study evaluates the implementation of technical aspects in beef cattle management.
