Abstract

Dry skin is the main problem of skin damage such as scaly, peeling, cracked and itchy skin, this is because the skin loses fluids due to weather changes and as we age we experience a decrease in the amount of oil and water on the skin. Facial skin care is done, one of which is by using a peel off gel mask of dates palm powder. The fat content is useful as a facial skin moisturizer. This study aims to determine the formula of the peel off gel mask which has determine its safety and effectiveness in moisturizing facial skin. The peel off gel mask was made into 3 formulas with the concentration of date palm seeds powder 1% (FI), 2% (FII) and 3% (FIII).  Procedures in this study include irritation test, hedonic test and facial skin moisture test using a skin analyzer compared before and after use. Peel off gel mask choco milk as a positive control. The results showed that FII ( 2%) corresponding the requirements of no irritation occurs compared to other formulas. Testing the effectiveness of facial skin moisture showed that FII (2%) was able to increase the water content after use and the water content was higher than the positive control. Results it can be concluded that the FII has safe for use and effective in moisturizing facial skin.

Abstract

Background: Vaccine management is a part of drug management cycle in the Office of Health, which is very important in all health services. Accurate and thorough vaccine management will positively impact the Ministry of Health interms of health, society and economy. Vaccines are very fragile and perishable biological products, so specialhandling is required in their management. Care should betaken to store vaccines in medical service units such as theHealth Department. This study aimed to determine theadequacy of vaccine storage at the Jambi provincial healthoffice in accordance with the 2015 guidelines for good drug distribution. Purpose: The purpose of this study was to test the vaccinestorage system at the Jambi Provincial Health Office.Methods: This study is a descriptive observational study. As astandard for comparison, the CDOB drug storage standard was used.Results: The results obtained were that the preservation ofvaccines in the pharmacy warehouse of the Jambi provincehealth department was 100% suitable for preservation, 100% daily maintenance, 83.3% monthly maintenance, 57.14 times installation and 100% match the building. Indicators.Conclusion: Based on the research results, it can beconcluded that the preservation of vaccines in the pharmacywarehouse of the Health Department of Jambi province iscorrect despite the shortcomings in facilities.

Abstract

Background: How medications are stored affects both how well they work as treatments and how safe they are from theft. It should be important to store medications in a way that prevents hazards. The existence of an unsuitable and orderly arrangement of drugs as well as a confined spatial arrangement makes the drugs situated inappropriately based on their place and distribution. The negative impact generated by damaged pharmaceuticals is not just for patients, but also has a consequence on the pharmacy itself. Objective: This study aims to evaluate the drug storage system at Apotek Kita based on the technical guidelines for pharmaceutical standards at the Pharmacy in 2019. Methods: This research is a descriptive observational study, which intends to look at the medication storage system at Apotek Kita. Results: Based on the results of the research conducted, it can be determined that drug storage at Apotek Kita is entirely in accordance with the Technical Guidelines for Pharmaceutical Service Standards at Pharmacies in 2019, as can be seen from the appropriate percentage of 95.65%. Conclusion: The percentage of storage that is suitable for completing appropriate medication storage criteria shows that Apotek Kita has implemented a good medication storage system.

Abstract

Buah pare (Momordica charantia L.) diketahui bermanfaat sebagai obat tradisional, salah satunya adalah antidiabetes. Diabetes mellitus atau kencing manis adalah penyakit yang ditandai dengan peningkatan Kadar Gula Darah (KGD). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas infusa buah pare terhadap penurunan KGD. Metode penelitian ini dilakukan dengan pemberian infusa pare dengan konsentrasi 3%, 6% dan 12% pada hewan uji coba mencit jantan umur 8 minggu dengan berat kurang lebih 20-22 gram. Pemberian infusa dengan dosis 3% menghasilkan efek penurunan kadar gula darah yang lebih besar dibanding dosis 6% dan 12%, yaitu sebesar 32 mg/dL dengan persentase penurunan kadar gula darah sebesar 10%. Sementara itu, pemberian infusa dengan dosis 6% menghasilkan efek penurunan kadar gula sebesar 14,33 mg/dL dengan persentase penurunan kadar gula sebesar 4%, dan pemberian infusa dengan dosis 12% menghasilkan efek penurunan kadar gula sebesar 5 mg/dL dengan persentase penurunan kadar gula sebesar 2%.

Abstract

Latar Belakang : Tingginya penggunaan antibiotik akan meningkatkan potensi penggunaannya yang tidak rasional dan berdampak pada tingkat mortalitas, biaya, kejadian efek samping obat dan resistensi. ATC/DDD merupakan standar yang telah di tetapkan WHO untuk menilai kuantitas penggunaan antibiotik. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pola penggunaan antibiotik di bangsal bedah rumah sakit umum daerah Kerinci tahun 2016 dan 2017 Metode : Pengambilan data dilakukan secara retrospektif dengan metode purposif sampling. Sampel yang memenuhi kriteria inklusi sebanyak 578 pada tahun 2016 dan 643 pada tahun 2017 dan kemudian diolah dengan metode ATC/DDD dan DU 90% Hasil : Hasil penelitian menunjukkan total DDD/100 patient day tahun 2016 sebesar (49,66 DDD/100 patient day) dan mengalami penurunan pada tahun 2017 menjadi (45,43 DDD/100 patient day). Antibiotik yang masuk kedalam segmen DU 90% tahun 2016 yaitu sefotaksim sebesar 83,83% (41,63 DDD/100 patient day) dan seftriakson sebesar 6,69% (3,32 DDD/100 patient day) dan pada tahun 2017 masih sama yaitu sefotaksim sebesar 81,02% (36,81 DDD/100 patient day) dan seftriakson sebesar 10,77% (4,89 DDD/100 patient day). Kesimpulan : Penggunaan antibiotic sangat tinggi dan yang masuk kedalam segman DU 90% berpotensi mengalami resistensi sehingga perlu diawasi penggunaannya. Kata kunci: Kata kunci : ATC/DDD, DU 90%, Antibotik, Farmakoepidimiologi.
