Abstract

Pendidik sering memanfaatkan berbagai jenis media edukasi untuk mendukung proses pengajaran dan meningkatkan efektivitas kemampuan bahasa anak usia dini di lembaga Taman Kanak-Kanak (TK). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi media edukasi yang digunakan oleh pendidik serta menganalisis kendala yang dialami oleh peserta didik dalam memanfaatkan media tersebut. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan angket. Observasi dan wawancara dilakukan dengan pendidik untuk mengetahui jenis-jenis media edukasi yang digunakan dalam subelemen anak mengenali dan memahami berbagai informasi, mengomunikasikan perasaan dan pikiran secara lisan, tulisan, atau menggunakan berbagai media serta membangun percakapan. Sementara itu, angket disebarkan kepada 6 guru untuk mengidentifikasi kendala yang mereka hadapi dalam menggunakan media tersebut. Data dikumpulkan dari 2 TK di Desa Dayak Pampang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa media edukasi yang digunakan oleh guru terdiri dari buku cerita (32%), video edukasi (14%), Flashcard (8%), boneka tangan (8%), gambar (16%), lagu (12%), LKPD (2%) dan bermain peran (8%). Penggunaan beragam media edukasi ini memberikan pengalaman pembelajaran yang lebih kaya dan menarik anak. Namun, anak menghadapi beberapa kendala kurangnya ketuntasan belajar anak dan kurangnya motivasi anak berbahasa karena pembelajaran masih berorientasi pada buku teks. Hal ini menyebabkan pendidik lebih banyak menggunakan metode penugasan, ceramah, dan LKPD, sehingga progresivitas pemahaman mengenal huruf, membaca huruf dan menulis menjadi kurang optimal dalam menggunakan media edukasi tersebut, seperti keterbatasan aksesibilitas, kurangnya keterampilan teknologi, minimnya dukungan teknis, gangguan distraksi, serta kesulitan dalam beradaptasi dengan media pembelajaran yang tersedia.

Abstract

Currently, the government continues to encourage PAUD institutions to apply for accreditation. Several institutions in Penajam District, North Paser Regency, and East Kalimantan have not submitted on the grounds that (1) Teachers are still unfamiliar with the use of technology related to uploading documents in the system, (2) Teachers experience confusion related to providing the types of documents for each accreditation item, (3) Teacher incomprehension of the document format for each accreditation item. This community service activity was carried out in collaboration with the East Kalimantan Nahdlatul Ulama University together with the National Accreditation Board for PAUD and PNF Kaltim located in North Penajam Paser Regency and the participants consisted of supervisors and supervisors as well as heads of PAUD and PNF units who in their implementation combined theory and practice of filling out the SISPENA application. The aim is to help achieve the level of achievement of the quota for PAUD and PNF units that will participate in accreditation. The result was a common perception about accreditation, understanding of accreditation documents, and PAUD units were ready to upload documents to SISPENA

Abstract

This study aims to examine the readiness of kindergarten (TK) teachers in East Kalimantan to implement the Independent Curriculum based on deep learning, focusing on both conceptual understanding and technical application. A qualitative descriptive approach with a case study design was used. Five teachers from two kindergartens were selected purposively. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation, and analyzed using Miles and Huberman’s interactive model (reduction, display, conclusion). All teachers demonstrated a strong conceptual grasp of the Independent Curriculum and deep learning, understood as meaningful and reflective learning. However, the technical readiness varied. Teachers at Handayani 1 Kindergarten, who had attended training, were more capable of designing learning tools aligned with deep learning principles. In contrast, Handayani’s two teachers relied mainly on intuitive practices owing to limited access to training and facilities. Nevertheless, classroom observations revealed practices consistent with the curriculum, including exploratory, experience-based activities, and flexible lesson implementation.  This study identifies the phenomenon of teachers’ “intuitive readiness” in curriculum reform, contributing to the theory of teacher preparedness. This suggests the need for continuous reflective training, stronger professional learning communities, and systemic support to enhance deep learning implementation in early childhood education.

Abstract

Study of brain function development in early childhood in the context of community service in KB Pelita Hati Bakuan. This study aims to improve teachers' and parents' understanding of the importance of proper monitoring and stimulation of early childhood brain function development. However, in its application, problems arise, teachers experience problems in terms of recognizing children's brain function and are less able to identify student development. The solution to the problems faced by teachers and parents is to provide knowledge about recognizing the development of children's brain function and providing appropriate stimuli to help child development. This research helps educators facilitate the development of children's brain function potential optimally and build good cooperation between teachers and parents to support children's academic development. The research method used is a survey and data collection from related literature. The results showed an improvement, shown from the results of the pree-test initially achieved 60%, and after being given training and understanding, the post-test achieved the target of 95% of the 16 (sixteen) participants who participated, there was a significant increase in participants by 35% after participating in training activities. Thus, collaboration between experts, parents, and communities in providing the resources and support needed to improve the quality of early childhood education. This Community Service Research emphasizes the need for a holistic approach to supporting the optimal development of children's brains, as well as the importance of increasing public awareness of their role in creating an environment that supports children's growth and development.
