Abstract

High school students in the city of Bandung occupy the largest population compared to other cities in West Java, The Central Bureau of Statistic data shows an imbalance between the number of students with rough participation rate and net enrollment rate. The purpose of this study is to determine the influence of peer context to the student engagement of high school students in Bandung with self-system processes as a mediator variable. The method of this research is causality correlation. The sample of 632 students were selected using Random Sampling Techniques from 8 public High Schools in Bandung. The questionnaire measured peer context, self-system processes, and student engagement, which were based on Connell's theory. Data analysis was Partial Least Square (PLS) method. Results show that there is influence of peer context on government high school student’s engagement in Bandung with self-processing system as a mediator variable. There is influence of sense of relatedness, sense of autonomy, and sense of competence on the student engagement. The student engagement of high school in Bandung is in the medium category.

Abstract

Abstract. The COVID-19 pandemic has caused several impacts on all aspects of society, one of which is in the field of education. In an effort to prevent the spread of the virus, the Government of Indonesia through the Ministry of Education and Culture prohibits face-to-face learning activities and switches to e-learning. This unexpected transition has the potential to cause learning to be not optimal and not ideal and can have an impact on student conditions, one of which is the student's Subjective Well-Being condition. This study aims to see the correlation between the overall characters in Character Strength and Subjective Well-Being of college students in the city of Bandung who carry out learning using e-learning. The participants in this study were 270 college students in the city of Bandung who were obtained using cluster sampling techniques. The research instruments are Values ​​in Action Inventory of Strengths (VIA-IS), Statistics With Life Scale (SWLS), and Positive and Negative Affect Scale (PANAS). The analysis used is Pearson correlation. The results of this study indicate that there is a positive relationship between Character Strength and Subjective Well-Being in Bandung City college students who implement e-learning. That is, the more characters in Character Strength increase, the Subjective Well-Being will also increase. The character that is strongly correlated with Subjective Well-Being is Vitality (r=0.637). Abstrak. Pandemi COVID-19 menyebabkan beberapa dampak pada seluruh aspek masyarakat, salah satunya terdapat pada bidang pendidikan. Sebagai upaya untuk mencegah penyebaran virus tersebut maka Pemerintah Indonesia melalui Kemendikbud melarang kegiatan pembelajaran tatap muka dan beralih pada pembelajaran e-learning. Peralihan yang tidak diduga ini berpotensi mengakibatkan pembelajaran menjadi tidak optimal serta tidak ideal dan dapat memberikan dampak pada kondisi mahasiswa, salah satunya adalah keadaan Subjective Well-Being mahasiswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat korelasi antara keseluruhan karakter yang ada pada Character Strength dengan Subjective Well-Being mahasiswa di kota Bandung yang melaksanakan pembelajaran menggunakan e-learning. Partisipan dalam penelitian ini adalah 270 mahasiswa perguruan tinggi di kota Bandung yang diperoleh menggunakan teknik cluster sampling. Instrument penelitian ini adalah Values in Action Inventory of Strengths (VIA-IS), Statisfication With Life Scale (SWLS) dan Positive and Negative Affect Scale (PANAS). Analisis yang digunakan adalah korelasi Pearson. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan positif antara Character Strength dengan Subjective Well-Being pada mahasiswa Kota Bandung yang melaksanakan e-learning. Artinya, semakin meningkatnya karakter yang ada pada Character Strength maka akan meningkat pula Subjective Well-Beingnya. Karakter yang berkolerasi kuat dengan Subjective Well-Being adalah Vitalitas (r=0,637).

Abstract

Abstract. During the Covid-19 pandemic, many universities are conducting learning using E-Learning. Several studies explain that students feel stressed while learning with E-Learning. To be able to cope with stress and bounce back from this stressful situation, students need Academic Resilience in themselves. Character Strength is one thing that can be useful for building Academic Resilience in students. This study aims to determine the characters in Character Strength that are strongly correlated with Academic Resilience. In this study, the research method is correlational, looking for relationships between variables. The measuring instrument used is VIA-IS from Peterson & Seligman as many as 172 items with a reliability value of 0.978 and ARS-30 from Cassidy as many as 24 items with a reliability value of 0.891. The sampling technique used is cluster sampling with the number of respondents from Bandung college students in the Cibeunying and Bojonagara areas as many as 270 people. The analytical technique used is the Pearson product moment correlation test. The results of this study indicate that there are several Character Strengths related to Academic Resilience. Character Strengths that have a strong correlation with Academic Resilience include hope (0.676), perseverance (0.666), curiosity (0.636), and vitality (0.614). Abstrak. Pada masa pandemi Covid-19, banyak perguruan tinggi melakukan pembelajaran dengan menggunakan E-Learning. Beberapa penelitian menjelaskan, bahwa mahasiswa merasa stres selama pembelajaran dengan E-Learning. Untuk dapat mengatasi rasa stres dan bangkit dari keadaan stres tersebut, mahasiswa membutuhkan Resiliensi Akademik di dalam dirinya. Character Strength ini merupakan salah satu hal yang dapat berguna untuk membangun Resiliensi Akademik pada mahasiswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui karakter-karakter dalam Character Strength yang berkorelasi kuat dengan Resiliensi Akademik. Pada penelitian ini, metode penelitiannya adalah korelasional yaitu mencari hubungan antar variabel. Alat ukur yang digunakan adalah VIA-IS dari Peterson & Seligman sebanyak 172 item dengan nilai reliabilitas 0.978 dan ARS-30 dari Cassidy sebanyak 24 item dengan nilai reliabilitas 0.891. Teknik sampling yang digunakan adalah cluster sampling dengan jumlah responden mahasiswa Kota Bandung wilayah Cibeunying dan Bojonagara sebanyak 270 orang. Teknik analisis yang digunakan adalah uji korelasi product moment Pearson. Hasil pada penelitian ini menunjukkan, bahwa terdapat beberapa Character Strength yang berhubungan dengan Resiliensi Akademik. Adapun Character Strength yang berkorelasi kuat dengan Resiliensi Akademik antara lain, hope (0.676), persistence (0.666), curiosity (0.636), dan vitality (0.614).

Abstract

Abstract. The pandemic causes changes that force us to see the fact that the world is undergoing changes, one of which is education in Indonesia which is also one of the areas affected by the Covid-19 pandemic. These changes can affect Academic Self-Efficacy in terms of e-learning learning, one of which is due to Method Satisfaction in E-learning. This study aims to determine how much influence the Satisfaction Method in E-learning has on Academic Self-Efficacy in UNISBA students. This research method is quantitative causality with research samples totaling 377 students from social science study programs at UNISBA using Cluster Random Sampling. Measurements were made using the Satisfaction Method in the E-learning Scale from Dawley (2007) and the Academic Self-Efficacy Scale from Zajacova (2005). The analysis was carried out using multiple linear regression, the results of the study stated that there was a significant effect of Method Satisfaction in E-learning on Academic Self-Efficacy in UNISBA students with a coefficient of determination of 45.2%, and the remaining 54.8% was the effect of of other variables not examined in this study. Abstrak. Pandemi menyebabkan terjadinya perubahan yang memaksa kita untuk melihat kenyataan bahwa dunia sedang mengalami perubahan, salah satunya pendidikan di Indonesia pun menjadi salah satu bidang yang terdampak akibat adanya pandemi Covid-19. Perubahan tersebut dapat memengaruhi Academic Self-Efficacy dalam hal pembelajaran e-learning, salah satunya akibat Kepuasan Metoda dalam E-learning. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui seberapa besar pengaruh Kepuasan Metoda dalam E-learning terhadap Academic Self-Efficacy pada mahasiswa UNISBA. Metode penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif kausalitas dengan sampel penelitian yang berjumlah 377 mahasiswa dari prodi ilmu sosial di UNISBA dengan menggunakan Cluster Random Sampling. Pengukuran dilakukan dengan menggunakan Kepuasan Metoda dalam E-learning Scale dari Dawley (2007) dan Academic Self-Efficacy Scale dari Zajacova (2005). Analisis dilakukan dengan uji regresi linear berganda, hasil penelitian menyatakan adanya pengaruh yang signifikan dari Kepuasan Metoda dalam E-learning terhadap Academic Self-Efficacy pada mahasiswa UNISBA dengan nilai koefisien determinasi sebesar 45,2%, dan sisanya sebesar 54,8% lainnya merupakan pengaruh dari variabel lain yang tidak diteliti dalam penelitian ini.

Abstract

Abstract. E-learning implementation during Pandemic covid-19, students experienced dissatisfaction towards the significance of learning attendance, social relationship, and comprehension. This phenomenon indicates problems with the perception of Community of Inquiry which consists of Teaching Presence, Social Presence, and Cognitive Presence that has effects on student's online learning unsatisfactory. This study aims to find out the Impact of Community of Inquiry toward Student's Satisfaction Online Learning in Universitas Islam Bandung. The instruments used are Community of Inquiry from Shea & Bidjerano (2010), and Students Satisfaction Online Learning from Dziuban (2015). The sampling used in this study is Cluster random sampling, taking 377 students from Social study fields. This study used multiple linier regression method. Results shows that Community of Inquiry has a significant impact on Students Satisfaction Online Learning up to 44.3% with 0.003 signification score. The majority of students (56.23%) perceives Teaching Presence as "quite good" and 54.91% perceives Social presence as "quite good". Then in Cognitive Presence, the majority of students (84.35%) are on the Exploration phase. Social presence is the most impactful dimension on Students Satisfaction Online Learning in Universitas Islam Bandung. Abstrak. Dalam pelaksanaan e-learning di masa pandemi ini, Mahasiswa Unisba mengalami ketidakpuasan dalam pemaknaan kehadiran pengajaran, hubungan sosial, dan pemahaman. Fenomena ini menunjukkan masalah dalam persepsi Community of Inquiry yang terdiri dari Teaching Presence, Social Presence, dan Cognitive Presence yang memiliki pengaruh terhadap kepuasan mahasiswa mengenai pembelajaran online. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk melihat pengaruh dari Community of Inquiry terhadap Students Satisfaction Online Learning di Universitas Islam Bandung. Alat Ukur Community of Inquiry menggunakan instrument dari Shea&Bidjerano (2010), dan alat ukur Students Satisfaction Online Learning dari Dziuban (2015). Adapun penetapan sampel penelitian menggunakan Cluster random sampling, diambil dari program studi dengan rumpun ilmu sosial sebanyak 377 mahasiswa. Metode menggunakan regresi linear berganda. Berdasarkan hasil regresi, ditemukan bahwa Community of Inquiry memiliki kontribusi dan signifikan terhadap Students Satisfaction Online Learning sebesar 44,3% dengan nilai signifikansi 0,003. Mayoritas mahasiswa (56,23%) mempersepsikan Teaching Presence tergolong cukup baik dan 54,91% mahasiswa mempersepsikan Social Presence tergolong cukup baik. Sedangkan dalam Cognitive Presence, mayoritas mahasiswa (84,35%) tergolong berada di tahap Exploration. Social Presence merupakan dimensi yang paling berkontribusi terhadap Students Satisfaction Online Learning di Universitas Islam Bandung.

Abstract

Abstract. In online learning such as E-Learning, students must be able to learn independently. Therefore, it is necessary to have individual characteristics that are able to bring up independent learning in online learning. These characteristics can be referred to as Self-Directed Learning. The purpose of this study is to find out how much influence Self-Directed Learning has on the Cognitive Presence of Unisba students in E-learning learning. The method used is the causality method using a quantitative approach. The research sample consisted of 377 students who were determined using Cluster Random Sampling taken from 7 Faculties in the Social Sciences Study Program. The measuring instrument used to measure Self-Directed Learning in students is using the Self-Directed Learning Aptitude Scale from Abd-El-Fattah (2010) and to measure Cognitive Presence the researcher uses the Community Of Inquiry measuring instrument from Shea & Bidjerano (2010). The results show that 65.5% of students have high self-directed learning. The Cognitive Presence phase with the highest score was Exploration (84.35%) and the lowest score phase was Triggering Event (47.75%). Data analysis used a simple linear regression test technique. The results of the study stated a significance value of 0.00 <0.05 which indicates a significant influence of Self-Directed Learning on Cognitive Presence in Unisba students. The results of data analysis show that the Self-Directed Learning variable contributes to the Cognitive Presence variable by 28.3%. Abstrak. Pada pembelajaran online seperti E-Learning, siswa harus mampu belajar mandiri. Maka dari itu diperlukan karakteristik individu yang mampu memunculkan kemandirian belajar dalam belajar online. Karakteristik tersebut bisa disebut sebagai Self-Directed Learning. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui seberapa besar pengaruh Self-Directed Learning terhadap Cognitive Presence mahasiswa Unisba dalam pembelajaran E-learning. Metode yang digunakan yakni metode kausalitas dengan menggunakan pendekatan kuantitaif. Sampel penelitian terdiri dari 377 mahasiswa yang ditetapkan menggunakan Cluster Random Sampling yang diambil dari 7 Fakultas dalam Program Studi Ilmu Sosial. Alat ukur yang digunakan untuk mengukur Self-Directed Learning pada mahasiswa yaitu menggunakan Self-Directed Learning Aptitude Scale dari Abd-El-Fattah (2010) dan untuk mengukur Cognitive Presence peneliti menggunakan alat ukur Community Of Inquiry dari Shea & Bidjerano (2010). Hasil menunjukan bahwa 65,5% mahasiswa memiliki Self-Directed Learning yang tinggi. Fase Cognitive Presence dengan skor tertinggi yaitu Exploration (84,35%) dan fase skor terendah yaitu Triggering Event (47,75%). Analisis data menggunakan teknik uji regresi linier sederhana. Hasil penelitian menyatakan nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,00 < 0,05 yang menunjukan adanya pengaruh yang signifikan dari Self-Directed Learning terhadap Cognitive Presence pada mahasiswa Unisba. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa variabel Self-Directed Learing berkontribusi terhadap variabel Cognitive Presence sebesar 28.3%.

Abstract

Abstract. The phenomenon “The Korean Wave or Hallyu Wave” brings people to know the term of K-Pop. Fans of K-Pop are often revealed as a form of worship or Celebrity Worship. Fan behavior towards idols can be assessed in various ways, ranging from reasonable behavior to unreasonable behavior. This can have an impact on the lives of the fans themselves and those around them. This study aims to look at the Character Strengths of each type of celebrity worship by fans K-Pop. This study uses a quantitative approach using descriptive methods. The sampling technique in this research is non probability sampling with convenience sampling. The subjects of this study amounted to 610 respondents. The measuring instrument used is Celebrity Attitude Scale by McCutcheon (2002) which has been adapted into Indonesian by Efathania & Aisyah (2019) and Values in Action–Inventory Strength by Peterson & Seligman (2004) which has been adapted into Indonesian by Akmal (2008). The result of this study indicate that fans K-Pop in Indonesia belong to the intense-personal. Profiles character strengths that stand out in all types of celebrity worship show the same result of the strengths, i.e kindness, open-mindedness, appreciation of beauty and excellent, and fairness. While the character strengths that are less prominent in all types also show the same result, i.e. bravery, leadership, self-regulation, and humility. Abstrak. Fenomena Korean Wave atau Hallyu Wave mengantarkan masyarakat mengenal istilah K-pop. Perilaku yang ditampilkan oleh para penggemar K-pop ini sering diungkap sebagai bentuk dari pemujaan atau Celebrity Worship. Perilaku penggemar terhadap idola dapat dinilai beragam, dimulai dari perilaku yang wajar sampai yang tidak wajar. Hal ini dapat berdampak kepada kehidupan penggemar itu sendiri maupun orang lain di sekitarnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat profil Character Strengths setiap jenis celebrity worship pada penggemar K-pop. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan menggunakan metode deskriptif. Teknik sampling yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah non-probability sampling dengan teknik convenience sampling. Subjek penelitian berjumlah 610 responden. Alat ukur yang digunakan yaitu Celebrity Attitude Scale dari McCutcheon (2002) yang diadaptasi ke dalam Bahasa Indonesia oleh Efathania & Aisyah (2019) dan Values In Action–Inventory Strength dari Peterson & Seligman (2004) yang telah diadaptasi ke dalam Bahasa Indonesia oleh Akmal (2008). Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan penggemar K-Pop di Indonesia mayoritas tergolong ke dalam jenis intense-personal. Profil character strengths yang menonjol pada keseluruhan jenis celebrity worship menunjukkan hasil yang sama yaitu kindness, open-mindedness, appreciation of beauty and excellent, dan fairness. Sedangkan character strengths yang kurang menonjol pada keseluruhan jenis juga menunjukkan hasil yang sama, yaitu bravery, leadership, self-regulation, dan humility.

Abstract

Abstract. In March 2020 there was the spread of the Covid-19 outbreak which resulted in the learning process at all levels of education. As solution, being carried E-Learning had to be implemented. According to Dawley (2007), E-Learning is learning that takes place anywhere and anytime that makes easy for students to obtain material and provides equal opportunities in learning which can lead to greater participation by all students. There are E-Learning methods, namely Modules, Assignments, Forums and Quiz which are often used during online learning at the Islamic University of Bandung. Students are expected to absorp the material by using these learning method and have ability to think systematically. The systematic thinking belongs to the Cognitive Domain in Bloom's taxonomy. This study aims to examine the relationship between students' perceptions of learning methods with Cognitive Domain abilities. The respondent in this study were 370 students from 4 faculties of social science study programs at the Islamic University of Bandung using Convenience Sampling. The data were analyzed with the Pearson Moment Product . The results of this study stated there was correlation between Modul with Comprehesion (0.128). Forum Method has a correlation with Knowledge (0.124). Task Method has a correlation with Application (0.116). Quiz Method has a correlation with Knowledge (0.128) and with Analysis (0.130). Abstrak. Pada bulan maret 2020 adanya penyebaran wabah Covid-19 yang mengakibatkan proses pembelajaran semua jenjang Pendidikan dilakukan secara online/E-Learning. Menurut Dawley (2007) pembelajaran E-Learning merupakan pembelajaran yang berlangsung dimana saja dan kapan saja yang menjadikan peserta didik mudah untuk memperoleh materi dan memberikan kesempatan yang sama dalam belajar yang dapat mengarahkan partisipasi yang lebih besar oleh seluruh peserta didik. Pengunaan metode pembelajaran Online/E-Learning yaitu Modul, Tugas, Forum dan Quiz yang sering digunakan selama pembelajaran online di Universitas Islam Bandung. Mahasiswa dituntut untuk menguasai materi dari metoda pembelajaran yang diberikan dan harus memiliki kemampuan berfikir secara sistematis. Berfikir secara sitematis ini termasuk ranah kognitif atau biasa disebut dengan Cognitive Domain didalam taksonomi bloom. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji hubungan pada persepsi mahasiswa tentang metoda pembelajaran dengan kemampuan Cognitive Domain. Sampel dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 370 mahasiwa dari 4 fakultas prodi ilmu sosial di Universitas Islam Bandung dengan menggunakan Convenience Sampling. Pengukuran dilakukan dengan uji Korelasi Produk Moment Pearson, hasil penelitian ini menyatakan bahwa adanya hubungan yang signifikan dari persepsi mahasiswa tentang metoda pembelajaran online berupa Modul,Tugas dan Quiz dengan kemampuan Cognitive Domain. Persepsi mahasiswa tentang metoda pembelajaran online berupa Modul, Forum, Tugas dan Quiz memiliki hasil korelasi yang tidak jauh berbeda. Pada metoda pembelajaran Modul nilai korelasi sebesar 0,128 dengan Comprehesion. Untuk metoda pembelajaran berupa Forum memiliki nilai korelasi sebesar 0,124 dengan kemampuan Knowlage. Untuk metode pembelajaran berupa Tugas memiliki nilai korelasi sebesar 0,116 dengan kemampuan Aplication. Metoda pembelajaran Quiz memiliki nilai korelasi sebesar 0,128 dengan kemampuan Knowlage dan nilai korelasi sebesar 0,130 yaitu pada kemampuan Analysis.

Abstract

Abstract. The pandemic had bad impacts on many areas, including in learning. As a solution, online learning had to be implemented. There was an expectation that students could be independent in their studies. Online learning uses Synchronous and Asynchronous modes. These two modes had been precepted differently and affected their studies, in this case, their engagement. Student Engagement is students’ involvement related to the energy, time, thoughts, efforts, and feelings that are devoted during learning activities. The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship between perceptions of Synchronous mode with Student Engagement and perceptions of Asynchronous mode with Student Engagement. The sampling technique was convenience sampling. Data were collected by giving questionnaires through Google Forms to college students in the city of Bandung. The respondents were 410 students. The data were analyzed with Pearson Product Moment. The result shows that there is a correlation between Synchronous mode and Student Engagement (0.323, sig= .00) and between Asynchronous mode and Student Engagement (0.195, Sig = .00). Then, most of the students in the city of Bandung have a bad perception of Synchronous and Asynchronous modes, and students in the city of Bandung have Student Engagement in the medium category. Abstrak. Pandemi memberikan dampak yang buruk pada banyak bidang, termasuk dalam pembelajaran. Sebagai solusi, pembelajaran online harus diterapkan. Harapannya mahasiswa dapat belajar secara mandiri. Pembelajaran online ini menggunakan mode Synchronous dan Asynchronous. Kedua mode ini dipersepsikan secara berbeda dan mempengaruhi studi mereka, dalam hal ini Student Engagement mereka. Student Engagement, yaitu keterlibatan mahasiswa yang berhubungan dengan energi, waktu, pikiran, usaha dan perasaan yang dicurahkan selama kegiatan pembelajaran. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan antara persepsi mode Synchronous dengan Student Engagement dan persepsi mode Asynchronous dengan Student Engagement. Teknik sampling yang digunakan yaitu teknik convenience sampling. Pengambilan data dilakukan dengan menyebarkan kuesioner kepada mahasiswa di Kota Bandung, dan responden pada penelitian ini sebanyak 410 mahasiswa. Teknik analisis yang digunakan yaitu uji korelasi Pearson Product Moment. Nilai korelasi antara mode Synchronous dengan Student Engagement sebesar .323 dan nilai value (Sig.) = .00 < .05 dengan arti persepsi mode Synchronous memiliki hubungan yang signifikan dengan Student Engagement dan bersifat positif. Selain itu, nilai korelasi antara mode Asynchronous dengan Student Engagement sebesar .195 dan nilai value (Sig.) = .00 < .05 dengan arti persepsi mode Asynchronous memiliki hubungan yang signifikan dengan Student Engagement dan bersifat positif. Lalu, sebagian besar mahasiswa di Kota Bandung memiliki persepsi yang buruk terhadap mode Synchronous dan Asynchronous, serta mahasiswa di kota Bandung memiliki Student Engagement dengan kategori sedang.

Abstract

Abstract. During the Covid-19 pandemic, students' learning motivation during online learning activities has decreased somewhat. Learning motivation is a process in which a person performs an activity to learn. Various factors are estimated to affect the decline in student learning motivation during the Covid-19 pandemic, including the teacher’s teaching method. This study aims to see how much influence teacher’s teaching methods have on student learning motivation during online learning. The respondents in this study were 549 junior high school students in the city of Bandung. Respondent were obtained using Convenience Sampling. Online Teaching Method was measured using Online Teaching scale by Johnson & Aragon (2003). Learning Motivation was measured by modified instrument from Ilmi Khoir Purba (2017) referring to aspects of Learning Motivation by Schunk, Pintrich, and Meece (2012). The Correlation result was 0.598 that is classified as moderate, with contribution 35.8%. The level of motivation for learning junior high school students in the city of Bandung during online learning is classified as moderate. Abstrak. Selama pandemi Covid-19 motivasi belajar siswa selama kegiatan pembelajaran online terbilang menurun. Terdapat berbagai faktor yang diperkirakan dapat mempengaruhi menurunnya motivasi belajar siswa selama pandemi Covid-19, salah satunya adalah metode pengajaran guru. Untuk itu penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat seberapa besar pengaruh metode pengajaran guru terhadap motivasi belajar siswa selama pembelajaran online. Responden dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 549 siswa, yang berstatus sebagai Siswa SMP di Kota Bandung. Data responden diperoleh menggunakan Convenience Sampling. Metode Pengajaran Online diukur menggunakan alat ukur yang mengacu pada aspek Pengajaran Online oleh Johnson & Aragon (2003). Motivasi belajar diukur menggunakan hasil modifikasi alat ukur dari Ilmi Khoir Purba (2017) yang mengacu pada aspek Motivasi Belajar oleh Schunk, Pintrich, dan Meece (2012). Hasil korelasi sebesar 0.598, dimana nilai korelasi tergolong sedang, dengan nilai kontribusi sebesar 35.8%. Tingkat motivasi belajar siswa SMP di Kota Bandung selama pembelajaran online ini tergolong dalam kategori sedang.
