Abstract

Adolescence is a period of transition from childhood to adulthood. In adolescence can also be called the period of "storms and stresses" a period in which emotional tension increases as a result of physical changes and glands. Stress in schools arises from the various uncomfortable pressures felt by students, thus triggering physical and psychological tensions that result in changing behavior and affecting students own learning achievements cognitively. To know the effect of guided imagery in reducing stress level of students in facing Boarding school process at SMK Kesdam IV/Diponegoro Magelang City. The research design used in this research is Quasi Experiment with two group type pre post test with control group, the analysis used is paired-samples t-test. Guided imagery influence on decreasing stress level in students who experience boarding school process at SMK Kesdam IV / Diponegoro with p-value = 0,000 with mean of decrease 4,83 compared to control group with mean of decrease 2,37. The level of stress on the boarding school process can go down with guided imagery

Abstract

  The situation is causing the elderly experience different kinds of stress one of which is the psychological stress, psychological stress is a set of physiological changes as a result of the body exposed to the danger of the threat. This stress can affect the physical and psychological affects the elderly. One is a healthy heart gymnastics, Gymnastics Healthy Heart is a sport that is prepared with always put the ability of the heart, the movement of large muscle and joint flexibility, as well as attempts to include as much oxygen as possible. The purpose of this study to determine the relationship healthy heart gymnastics with Stress Levels in the Elderly in Group Gymnastics Heart Healthy Heart Among Roso Ngluwar District of Magelang regency. The method used was a cross sectional, with a sample of 57 elderly. The instrument used was a questionnaire heart gymnastics and stress levels. Data processed by Spearman rank test. The result showed a p-value 0,000 < = 0.05, which means that therea is a relationship between a healthy heart gymnastics with the level of stress in Group Gymnastics Heart Healthy Heart Among Roso Ngluwar District of Magelang regency.

Abstract

Sexual violence against children is a case that requires serious handling. The increasing number of cases in Magelang Regency illustrates that people's concern for children's lives is still not optimal. Exploration of parental participation will increase the role of parents in supporting children's assertive behavior towards sexual violence that may be experienced. Objective: to determine parental participation in children's assertive behavior towards sexual violence. Descriptive sampling was obtained by descriptive research method with 96 respondents. Instruments in the form of questionnaires using focus group discussions and interviews. Research location in Donorojo Village, Mertoyudan District. Respondents are in productive age, secondary education, and have relatively much time because they do not work or work at home. Participation seen from indicator 1) parental participation in meeting the needs of children in good categories; 2) providing guidance to children including sufficient categories; 3) fulfillment of facilities prepared by parents in anticipation of the emergence of sexual violence in a good category, and 4) giving motivation so that children have assertive behavior included in the sufficient category. Conclusion: There is parental participation in children's assertive behavior in anticipation of sexual violence in school-age children in Donorojo Village, Kec. Mertoyudan Kab. Magelang. Suggestion: Efforts are needed to improve knowledge and perceptions of parents better so that they can participate optimally in anticipating sexual violence in children

Abstract

Efforts to improve a healthy lifestyle are very important, one of them is to stop smoking. The way to stop smoking can be through acupressure complementary therapy training and counseling on smoking health risks. The purpose of this activity is to increase public awareness and knowledge regarding the smoking health risks and acupressure therapy in order to reduce the desire to smoke for residents in the Bandung Village, Mertoyudan District, Magelang Regency. This activity involves the participation of the local community so that they can realize the importance of reducing smoking habits and the impact of smoking. The method used was counseling on the smoking health risks and acupressure training. The results of the activity showed that the residents were enthusiastic in participating in the activity and were able to apply acupressure therapy in their daily lives to stop smoking.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengevaluasi efek konsumsi buah Hangasa (Amomum dealbatum) terhadap penurunan tekanan darah pada warga binaan pengguna narkoba dengan hipertensi. Menggunakan desain kuasi-eksperimental pretest-posttest control group, 40 partisipan dibagi menjadi kelompok intervensi (minuman buah Hangasa 200 ml/hari) dan kontrol (plasebo) selama 3 hari. Tekanan darah diukur sebelum dan sesudah intervensi. Hasil menunjukkan penurunan rata-rata tekanan darah sistolik (4,0 mmHg) dan diastolik (1,8 mmHg) pada kelompok intervensi, dibandingkan kelompok kontrol (0,9 mmHg dan 0,3 mmHg). Namun, analisis statistik tidak menunjukkan perbedaan signifikan (p > 0,05). Meskipun buah Hangasa menunjukkan potensi sebagai agen penurun tekanan darah, penelitian ini tidak menemukan signifikansi statistik. Faktor seperti variabilitas individu, durasi intervensi, dan ukuran sampel mungkin mempengaruhi hasil. Penelitian lanjutan dengan sampel lebih besar, dosis bervariasi, dan durasi lebih lama direkomendasikan untuk mengeksplorasi potensi buah Hangasa dalam manajemen hipertensi.

Abstract

This community service program aims to assist drug rehabilitation inmates in utilizing local plants such as Hangasa (Amomum dealbatum), Parahulu (Vatica scortechinii), and Honje (Toona sinensis) for health and environmental conservation. This program was conducted with a participatory approach for 1 week, involving 50 participants who received theoretical and practical training. Quantitative results showed a significant increase in participants' knowledge and skills, with an average increase of more than 28% in all aspects assessed. Qualitative results showed an increase in participants' awareness of the importance of environmental conservation and positive social impacts in the form of working group formation and community empowerment planning. In conclusion, this program was successful in increasing knowledge and skills in supporting environmental conservation. Recommendations for future implementation include developing sustainable support and increasing public education. This holistic approach has the potential to be applied in other locations to support community rehabilitation and development.

Abstract

Introduction: Inmates (hereinafter referred to as WBP) often experience mental health disorders including depression, severe stress, and anxiety. This affects the quality of sleep which will trigger other health problems such as heart failure, coronary heart disease, and heart attacks. Objective: to socialize and train five-finger therapy or hereinafter referred to as Five Finger Therapy in improving sleep quality in Inmates (WBP). Method: th method of this activity uses lectures in socialization and training simulations. The number of participants is 40 people. The activity starts from the preparation, implementation, and evaluation stages. Data was collected through surveys, interviews, and observations before and after the implementation of therapy. Result: the results of the activity showed that out of 40 respondents to WBP in the Class 2B Banjar City male prison, it was found that before Five Finger Therapy was carried out, 30 WBP experienced poor sleep quality (75.0%) and 10 people or 25% had good sleep quality. After Five Finger Therapy was carried out, the category of good sleep quality increased to 32 people (80.0%) and poor quality decreased to 18 people (20.0%). Conclusion: this indicates that Five Finger Therapy has successfully improved the quality of WBP sleep, so that the training is effective in improving the quality of sleep of male WBP in prison. This therapy makes a positive contribution to the mental health of WBP. Recommendations for the continued implementation of five finger therapy and the importance of support from friends and prison officers in facilitating the action
