Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the educational playing game based on media to improve numerical ability on  second grade student at  SDN Wonotirto, Bulu, Temanggung. The subject were 10 student, that divided into two groups, experimental group (5 students) and control group (5 students). They are second grade student at SDN Wonotirto, Bulu, Temanggung. The design of experiment which used is pretest and posttest control group design. The methods of data analysis techniques  use Mann - Whitney U. The result of the data analysis showed a significant differences between post-test of experimental group and the control group with level of p = 0.032. It means there are differences numerical ability between the control group and the experimental group. The mean score of the experimental group after the treatment was given greater compared with the control group (7.5 > 3.5). So, educational playing game based on media is effective to improve the numerical ability

Abstract

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between academic procrastination and cheating behavior on the students of Vocational High Schools “X” Yogyakarta. The hypothesis proposed that there was a positive relationship between academic procrastination and cheating behavior of students, the higher of the academic procrastination will result also to the higher of cheating behavior. As subject of this research are the class of XA, XB2, XIA, XI B2 and XI B3 students of Vocational High Schools “X” Yogyakarta, with the total amount of those are 70 students. The method of this research is quantitative. The data is from the measuring with academic procrastination scale and cheating behavior scale. The analysis technique used is the Pearson Product Moment test used SPSS version 15.0. The result obtained it shows that there was very significant and positive correlation between academic procrastination and cheating behavior on the students of Vocational High Schools “X” Yogyakarta with the value of correlation coefficient 0.461 and p = 0.000 (p < 0.01), so this hypothesis is accepted.

Abstract

Students who are working on a thesis include individuals who are vulnerable to experiencing mental disorders due to the heavy burden and demands of the thesis. In facing these challenges, students need resilience skills to complete the thesis process successfully. This correlational study aims to determine the relationship between faith and resilience in students completing a thesis, with positive thinking as a mediator. The subjects of this research were undergraduate students at universities in the Special Region of Yogyakarta who were preparing a thesis with a study period of more than 7 semesters, totaling 99 respondents. In this study, three scales were used: the scale of faith, whose aspects were taken from Al Banna, with a reliability coefficient of 0.927; the positive thinking scale, which refers to the aspects of Albercht's opinion, with a reliability coefficient of 0.949, and the resilience scale, which refers to the aspects of Grotberg, with a reliability coefficient of 0.944. Hypothesis testing was conducted using mediation regression analysis with the Jamovi program (version 2.3). The results showed that aqeedah (faith) positively affected positive thinking in students completing their thesis. Positive thinking had a significant positive effect on resilience. Directly, aqeedah positively affected resilience, indicating that positive thinking could partially mediate the relationship between faith and resilience.

Abstract

This study investigates the extent to which Islamic creed (ʿAqīdah) and social skills are associated with students’ emotional well-being. Utilizing a quantitative correlational design, the study involved 197 students aged 15–19 years from a state-funded Islamic secondary school. Participants were selected through cluster random sampling. Three validated instruments were employed: the Emotional Well-Being Scale based on Keyes’ conceptual framework (α = 0.803), the Islamic Creed Scale adapted from Al-Banna’s model (α = 0.893), and the RECS Social Skills Scale developed by Mantzouranis et al. (α = 0.896). Data were analyzed using multiple linear regression. The results revealed that Islamic creed and social skills jointly demonstrated a significant positive relationship with emotional well-being (p = 0.006). Further analysis showed that Islamic creed independently had a significant positive association with emotional well-being (p = 0.005), whereas social skills did not show a statistically significant effect (p = 0.142). These findings highlight the central role of religious belief in supporting adolescents' emotional well-being within faith-based educational contexts.
