Abstract

Differentiated learning has begun to be implemented in several schools in Indonesia, one of which is SMA Negeri 1 Panji Situbondo. This research aims to describe implementation steps and improving learning outcomes through differentiated learning in class XI-9 in the subjects of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) and Characteristics.. This research was conducted in less than one month with the research location at SMA Negeri 1 Situbondo banner.Data collection methods in this research include observation, interviews, and documentation studies. After the data was collected, analysis was carried out using a qualitative approach with a phenomenological type of research. The research results show that differentiated learning has been implemented systematically. The process begins with mapping student learning needs, obtained through an initial assessment in the form of a pretest. Next, the teacher develops learning modules that are adapted to the mapping results using four main approaches: differentiation of content, process, product and learning environment. The implementation of differentiated learning is carried out in accordance with the planning and schedule set by the school. The final step is reflection and evaluation using formative and summative assessments to measure improvements in student learning outcomes. The research results showed that after implementing differentiated learning, student learning outcomes in class XI-9 experienced a significant increase. It is hoped that this research can become a reference for educators and policy makers in improving teaching strategies that are more adaptive and effective, so as to maximize students' learning potential optimally.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar bahasa Inggris materi “Someone’s Capability” dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning pada peserta didik kelas VIII B MTs Negeri Sumba Timur. Penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) dengan menggunakan rancangan dua siklus dan masing-masing siklus terdiri dari empat tahapan yaitu: perencanaan – tindakan – observasi – refleksi. Untuk mendapatkan data hasil penelitian dipergunakan teknik pengukuran berupa tes hasil belajar untuk mendapatkan data kuantitatif dan lembar observasi untuk mendapatkan data kualitatif. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus yaitu siklus pertama dan siklus kedua diperoleh hasil sebagai berikut: Pertama; Pada akhir pelaksanaan siklus pertama terdapat peningkatan rata-rata hasil belajar sebesar 73 dari hasil belajar sebelumny. Kedua; Pada akhir pelaksanaan siklus kedua mencapai hasil belajar dengan nilai rata-rata 79, berarti terdapat peningkatan sebesar 6 %. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar bahasa Inggris materi “Someone’s Capability” bagi peserta didik kelas VIII B MTs Negeri Sumba Timur.

Abstract

Plastic waste in rural areas has become an increasingly complex environmental issue due to the rising volume of household waste and the lack of effective waste management systems based on source reduction. This community service program aims to enhance public awareness and participation in plastic waste management through a community-based approach in Krompaan Village, Gemuh District, Kendal Regency. The implementation method employed a participatory approach consisting of three stages: preparation, implementation, and evaluation. The implementation stage included socialization, environmental education, assistance in waste segregation, and the introduction of the reduce, reuse, and recycle (3R) concept, as well as the initiation of a waste bank. The results indicate an improvement in community understanding regarding the impact of plastic waste and the importance of managing waste at the source. Community participation began to emerge through involvement in socialization activities and initial practices of waste segregation, although it has not yet been consistently applied in daily life. The program also identified potential for developing community-based waste management supported by social capital and the role of local government. Therefore, this community service activity provides an initial contribution to fostering awareness and participation toward a more participatory and sustainable plastic waste management system.
