Abstract

Forests will become extinct if they are not managed wisely and sustainably. One of the forestry problems that occur in Indonesia is deforestation or logging activities in forest areas. Waqf Forest is a waqf-based forest conservation innovation that can be a supporting instrument for forest conservation. The problem that is the main focus in the development of waqf forests is how to overcome disaster mitigation in the waqf forest area in terms of reforesting deforested areas, areas prone to landslides and providing access to economic empowerment to the community and problems related to the number of permanent employees in the Bogor Waqf Forest This study aims to describe the Bogor Waqf Forest program, identify key sub-elements of the waqf forest development strategy and analyze the Bogor Waqf Forest development strategy using the Interpretive Structural Model (ISM) approach. The results of the analysis show that the elements of needs and objectives have almost the same key sub-elements, which are related to the legal protection for waqf forests and the main obstacle is the problem of nazhir's professionalism which is the responsibility of the principal actors or institutions mentioned. The achievement of the elements of needs, constraints, and objectives can be fulfilled by the actors or institutions involved through the activities of the key sub-elements, namely the coordination of BWI, WaCIDS, the Ministry of Religion, BAZNAS, Bogor Waqf Forest Foundation, and Regional Governments and related institutions to encourage waqf forest projects.

Abstract

Regional development involves the utilization of available resources to significantly improve the welfare of the community, including in financial aspects. One of the benchmarks for successful regional development can be measured by the Gross Regional Domestic Product (PDRB) data of each region. PDRB can show the trend of economic growth from year to year, provide information on the economic resource capabilities of a region, and more. In measuring regional development based on PDRB, the Regional Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBD) also plays a key role in the planning and implementation of development programs. In government institutions with high integrity, public employees are expected to perform their duties with professionalism, avoid conflicts of interest, and report any ethical or legal violations they encounter. The aim of this study is to analyze the influence of the level of local government integrity on APBD management and its implications for the quality of regional development in Indonesia. The data used in this study are secondary data sourced from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) for APBD and PDRB data, and from the Corruption Prevention Network (JAGA) website for SPI data. The data used includes PDRB, SPI, and APBD for cities and regencies in Indonesia in 2022. The results of the study show that higher local government integrity can improve the management of their APBD; conversely, lower integrity can decrease it. The influence of local government integrity on APBD is relatively small, as the success of APBD management is also influenced by other factors beyond the scope of this study. However, in essence, APBD management requires a high commitment to integrity from the local government, as the APBD management process can be exploited as a means for certain funds' disbursement. Integrity in government institutions can reduce the risk of corruption. Higher integrity is predicted to improve APBD. Thus, local government integrity plays a key role in ensuring the success and sustainability of regional finances and provides a broad positive impact on development and community welfare

Abstract

Measurement of the efficiency level of Islamic banks in Indonesia is widely carried out, but almost no study has been conducted with the DEA window analysis approach, especially in the 'social efficiency' perspective. We try to measure the social efficiency of the Islamic banks in Indonesia employing both Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) and the DEA window analysis. For certain cases the results of the DEA window analysis are relatively more stable and can illustrate the actual results of the efficiency value. The results show that the social efficiency of Islamic banks in Indonesia from 2011-2018 are relatively fluctuated but tend to increase. From the perspective of the stability of efficiency value, we found only 4 (four) out of 11 (eleven) Islamic banks that have relatively stable efficiency levels.
