Abstract

Online job searching is one of the most efficient ways to do this, and it is widely used by people worldwide because of the automated process of transferring job recruitment information. The easy and fast process of transferring information in job recruitment has led to the rise of fake job vacancy fraud. Several studies have been conducted to predict fake job vacancies, focusing on improving accuracy. However, the main problem in prediction is choosing the wrong parameters so that the classification algorithm does not work optimally. This research aimed to increase the accuracy of fake job vacancy predictions by tuning parameters using GridSearchCV. The research method used was SVM and Gradient Boosting with parameter adjustments to improve the parameter combination and align it with the predicted model characteristics. The research process was divided into preprocessing, feature extraction, data separation, and modeling stages. The model was tested using the EMSCAD dataset. This research showed that the SVM algorithm can achieve the highest accuracy of 98.88%, while gradient enhancement produces an accuracy of 98.08%. This research showed that optimizing the SVM model with GridSearchCV can increase accuracy in predicting fake job recruitment.

Abstract

Curriculum development from Competency-Based Curriculum (KBK 2004) to Education Unit Level Curriculum (KTSP 2006) and Curriculum 2013 occurred in a relatively short period. In short, the timespan of this kind of development then gives rise to various responses from Education practitioners. This study aims to explain how teachers can take steps to develop the materials of the Islamic Cultural History subject in the Islamic Senior High School’s 2013 Curriculum. This type of study is a literature study. The development of learning materials starts with making a mapping or mutual relationship between one Basic Competency with other Basic competencies. The results of the mapping have implications for the emergence of the formulation of the Main Materials. The next step is to develop indicators of Competency Achievement based on Knowledge Basic Competencies and Skills. Based on Competency Achievement Indicators, they are formulated into learning materials, which are the scope of the primary materials. Thus, there will be harmony between learning materials with competence. Further, this harmony leads to the formulation of attitudes or values achieved after learning the Learning materials. The results of this study will facilitate teachers in the preparation of the Syllabus to the Learning Implementation Plan (RPP).

Abstract

Sport is a physical and mental activity that is beneficial for people to maintain the body and develop the quality of health. This makes exercise an activity that needs to be done for everyone to maintain their stamina. However, the lack of information about places, facilities, partners, and sports events is a strong reason in terms of reducing student motivation in carrying out sports activities themselves. The purpose of this research is none other than to design an application that can help students get all sports information. These things are none other than to foster a strong desire to do sports activities. Through technology smartphone which has been owned by the wider community, this research creates a solution by designing an application called "Go-Sport". This study uses the "Design Thinking" method, which focuses on finding and understanding user needs to obtain an optimal solution in the form of the results of the features to be made. From this research, a design or prototype of the "Go-Sport" application was produced which is ready to be implemented and tested on users.

Abstract

Purpose: Customer churn is a crucial issue for companies, especially those in the telecommunications sector, as it has a direct impact on revenue and new customer acquisition costs. The purpose of this research is to create a customer churn prediction model through performance comparison between the Logistic Regression algorithm and Ridge Classifier, considering the effect of data balancing. Methods: This study developed a churn classification model by comparing the Logistic Regression and Ridge Classifier algorithms in three scenarios: without data balancing, balancing using SMOTE, and balancing using GAN. The dataset used was Telco Customer Churn from Kaggle. Model evaluation was performed using a confusion matrix with accuracy, precision, recall, and F1-score metrics, with a primary focus on the accuracy metric. Result: The results show that data balancing using SMOTE and GAN does not improve model accuracy. The highest accuracy was achieved by the Ridge Classifier without data balancing, at 82.47%, followed by Logistic Regression at 82.25%. However, the recall and F1-score metrics improved when using SMOTE. The highest recall was achieved by Ridge Classifier at 75.34% and Logistic Regression at 75.07% in the SMOTE 50:50 scenario. The highest F1-score was also achieved by Ridge Classifier at 64.76% and Logistic Regression at 64.68% followed by the SMOTE 50:30 scenario. Meanwhile, the precision metric tends to decrease after data balancing. Novelty: The uniqueness of this study lies in the comparison of the performance of the Ridge Classifier and Logistic Regression in data balancing scenarios using SMOTE and GAN, which has not been widely discussed in previous studies. The main findings show that the highest accuracy is achieved when the Ridge Classifier model uses original data or without applying SMOTE or GAN data balancing. However, data balancing using SMOTE has been proven to significantly improve the recall and F1-score metrics.

Abstract

Background: Parkinson's disease (PD) is a critical neurodegenerative disorder affecting the central nervous system and often causing impaired movement and cognitive function in patients. In addition, its diagnosis in the early stages requires a complex and time-consuming process because all existing tests such as electroencephalography or blood examinations lack effectiveness and accuracy. Several studies explored PD prediction using sound, with a specific focus on the development of classification models to enhance accuracy. The majority of these neglected crucial aspects including feature extraction and proper parameter tuning, leading to low accuracy. Objective: This study aims to optimize performance of voice-based PD prediction through feature extraction, with the goal of reducing data dimensions and improving model computational efficiency. Additionally, appropriate parameters will be selected for enhancement of the ability of the model to identify both PD cases and healthy individuals. Methods: The proposed new model applied an OpenML dataset comprising voice recordings from 31 individuals, namely 23 PD patients and 8 healthy participants. The experimental process included the initial use of the SVM algorithm, followed by implementing PCA for feature extraction to enhance machine learning accuracy. Subsequently, data balancing with SMOTE was conducted, and GridSearchCV was used to identify the best parameter combination based on the predicted model characteristics.  Result: Evaluation of the proposed model showed an impressive accuracy of 97.44%, sensitivity of 100%, and specificity of 85.71%. This excellent result was achieved with a limited dataset and a 10-fold cross-validation tuning, rendering the model sensitive to the training data. Conclusion: This study successfully enhanced the prediction model accuracy through the SVM+PCA+GridSearchCV+CV method. However, future investigations should consider an appropriate number of folds for a small dataset, explore alternative cross-validation methods, and expand the dataset to enhance model generalizability.   Keywords: GridSearchCV, Parkinson Disaese, SVM, PCA, SMOTE, Voice/Speech
